It was morning.  Ruby was awake but still laying beside me. 

Ruby: Morning. 

Y/n: Morning.  I'm hungry, what about you?

Ruby: Me too.

Y/n: I'll get food. You stay here.

Ruby: Why?

Y/n: Because if Weiss sees you, the mission will be compromised. 

Ruby: Fine.

I got up and got dressed. I went to the resort dining area to see a breakfast area which was free.  I was waiting my turn down the line. I noticed a man with a white mustache walk next to me and wait.

Y/n in head: Must be Jacques. 

I hoped he wouldn't say anything to me.

Jacques: I saw you with my daughter last night.

Y/n in head: Damn it.

Y/n: Get to the point.

Jacques: Straight to it then. I know a man of wealth when I see one. The way they act and the company they keep. That and it costs a lot to stay at this resort. 

Y/n: You aren't wrong.

Jacques: Marrying into my family is very profitable.  I think you should rethink you're realtionship with Weiss. 

Y/n: I don't.  I'm not in my realtionship for money. 

Jacques: Do you really believe that?

Y/n: What?

Jacques: We all have motives.  In this world. Rich don't marry for love anymore. 

He was really starting to piss me off.

Y/n: Listen.  My answer won't change. 

He was about to say something.  But Strike team s appeared behind me.

Saiyan: Hey.

Y/n: Hey Saiyan.

Saiyan: This guy bothering you?

Y/n: No.

Jacques: And who are you?

Saiyan: His bodyguards.  If you mess with my client you mess with me and my men.

Jacques: Noted.

Jacques grabbed food and left. 

Y/n whisper: Guy's an asshole.

Saiyan: So. I got a question for ya.

Y/n: Yeah?

Saiyan: Ruby is really...I don't know the right word. Possessive maybe?

Y/n: I get what you're trying to say.

Saiyan: Well. You seem pretty okay with it. And I know it hasn't even been a year yet. And I know over a hundred  guys that couldn't handle her crazy. How do you do it?

Y/n: It's easier than you think. I actually don't mind her crazy because it makes sense as to why she is so attached.   And honestly, I missed love after both my parents died. I always asked if my dad loved my mom. But I knew they both loved me. After they were gone. I was missing something.  Ruby fills that piece that  is missing.   Love from my people is great. But it can't replace the love I lost. And the love I have now is greater.

Saiyan: I see. I'm glad things are looking up for you Y/n.  Speaking of Ruby. You should probably get back to her before she gets worried.

Y/n: You're right.

I got the food and drinks and headed back to the room. I entered to see Ruby sitting on the bed waiting. 

Ruby: Was the line long?

Y/n: I got stuck into two conversations.  one was not pleasant. 

Ruby: Well what was it?

Y/n: Jacques.  That fucking ass clown. He tried to convince me to reconsider being with Weiss.  Saiyan seemed to scare him off though. 

Ruby: I changed my mind. He needs to die too.

Y/n: Ruby. *sigh* Its okay.

Ruby: I can't let this go unpunished.  And besides, clearly Weiss got her bitchy side from him. I want to make sure he doesn't make any more children. 

Y/n: Good enough reason I guess. 

Ruby: I do this because I love you. You know that right?

Y/n: Of course my rose.  But for now we should enjoy ourselves a little before the killing starts.

Ruby: If that's what you want amante.

I crawled back into bed next to Ruby. She wrapped her arms around my left arm and nuzzled into me.

That night I was with Saiyan at the bar. Saiyan drinking Vodka while I was drinking water.  A group of Schnee thugs sat within earshot.

Thug 1: Anyone seen Malek recently?

Thug 2: No. But he'll show up.

Thug 1: The Schnees want to stay two weeks in this place. 

Thug 3: So? We get luxury rooms for free.

Thug 1: Yeah. But with only so much credit. And if we're drunk Jacques will fire us.

Thug 2: You are not wrong.

Thug 3: Hopefully something will happen.  This place is fucking boring.  I got placed with guarding Weiss today. And I was also supposed to have Malek who didn't show up. 

Thug 1: That guy can't just disappear.  He has to be here somewhere. 

Thug 3: Anyway.  Let's worry about that pain in the ass later. Right now I need a drink. I heard enough of Weiss bitching about some guy to last me a week.

Saiyan: Sounds like their noticing. 

Y/n: So what do we do?

Saiyan: Nothing yet. Until we find an opening.  And secure all exit points.  That way they won't escape. 

Y/n: Roger that. 

I left soon after and went to the room.  Ruby was already laying in bed so I joined her. She nuzzled up to me. I laid there and ran my fingers through her hair lovingly.   I couldn't help but think about what would hapoen if this would go wrong. I'm not in my territory anymore.  And no doubt my people would riot for war if I was captured or killed.  And without me leading.  I'm afraid my army might slaughter all the innocents of Atlas for revenge.
