A girl with shoulder length black hair walked around Teiko Middle School. She wore a simple white t-shirt with blue shorts, and her basketball jersey tied around her waist.
It was late at night, and no one was around considering the time. In the distance was the school gym. The girl blinked her grey eyes, causing red framed glasses to slide down her nose. "They're still practicing?" Her voice was soft, almost in a whisper. "These idiots." She shook her head.
The girl made her way toward the giant middle school gymnasium. She came to the door, noticing that it was slightly open. She reached out, about to slid the gym doors open. That is until she heard the voices of her teammates.
"You should just give up on basketball Tetsu." The familiar, deep toned voice spoke. The girl recognized it as Aomine Daiki, the basketball team's ace. "If you continue like this, you'll get hurt." The girl quietly leaned toward the door, peeking inside.
Through the small opening she saw the Generation of Miracles, her teammates. They were standing together, looking down at someone. Opposite of the, she saw that her friend, Kuroko Tetsuya, was on the floor. He looked like he had either fallen or was pushed. His head was down and his light blue hair shaded over his eyes. 'What's going on?' The girl thought, deciding to watch a bit longer.
"That's right Kurokocchi." Kise Ryouta nodded his head. His hands were on his hips and he stared down at Kuroko with a solemn expression. "We don't need you on the team anymore."
The girl clenched her fists. "It's pointless now Kurochin. You can't keep up with us." The purple haired giant, Murasakibara Atsushi, had said through a mouthful of chips.
"It'd be best if you just quit, Kuroko." Midorima Shintaro pushed up his black glasses. "Oha Asa says that you're luck will only get worse from here on out, nanodayo."
The girl stiffened, awaiting for the last person to speak. Akashi Seijuro, the captain of the Generation of Miracles. He stayed silent for a minute, just watching the Phantom that still sat on the ground. "I expect your resignation form by tomorrow." Was all the red headed male had said.
She couldn't stand it anymore. She couldn't stand the words that came from their mouths. Her jaw tightened, and her grey eyes narrowed. She reached up, gripping the door tightly in her left hand. Her knuckles turned white under the pressure. She slammed the door open, resonating in a loud echo across the gym.
A colorful bunch of heads turned toward her. She stalked stiffly into the now silent gym. She said nothing as she took place in between the Generation of Miracles and the fallen phantom.
"Narumiya-san." Kuroko's voice was soft and laced with pain. It made her heart clench.
"Narumiya Satori." Akashi stared at the girl in front of him. Her grey eyes were ablaze with white hot anger. "What do you think you're doing?" He glared at the girl, who dared to disobey his absolute authority.
"What the hell is wrong with you all?" Her voice was softer than she wanted. Satori was expecting herself to scream, but it had come out in a whisper.
"What are you talking about, Satochin?" Murasakibara had stated questionably at the shorter basketball player.
"After everything Tetsuya has done for you all, you're just tossing him aside...like..-like some old rag doll!?" Satori's voice increased in volume. Her eyes brightly burned under her red glasses. They were lit by the fire burning in her chest.
"Done for us?" Aomine asked, tilting his head up. "What has Tetsu exactly done for us?"
The words made Satori's face turn red. There was so much she wanted to scream. There were so many horrible things she wanted to say. But she pressed that feeling down. Satori's eyes went soft. Her fingernails dug harshly into the skin of her palms. "Shows what little you all know." Was all Satori was able to say. Her vision blurred by unshed tears.
Then suddenly, the fire in her chest returned. Satori opened her mouth to say something else, but a hand caught her own. She turned. Kuroko was standing up, looking at Satori with pleading eyes. "That's enough." Kuroko's voice was strained, breaking Satori's heart even more. "I'll be taking my leave now." Kuroko announced, letting go of Satori's hand. He staggered toward the gym doors and picking up his bag along the way. He silently left the gym.
Satori watched the Phantom disappear into the night. She turned to the others with a glare. "Tetsuya and I will resign from the basketball club starting tomorrow." She announced, looking directly into Akashi's eyes. "If any of you come anywhere near Tetsuya and I, I'll kill you myself." Satori began to walk away. She stopped, and looked over her shoulder. "Including you, Seijirou." Satori had added as an afterthought.
The girl walked off of school grounds, clutching her bag's strap in her hands. Satori's jaw was clenched tightly, somehow helping her hold back her tears. She walked silently through the streets. Her thoughts traveled back to all the horrible things that her teammates had said.
The thought pissed her off even more. "Those bastards will pay..."

Months and months had gone by.
A lot had happened since that night.
Kuroko Tetsuya had entered Seirin High School.
Narumiya Satori had followed. And instead of becoming a participating member, she had decided to become the manager.
Kuroko was getting along well with his new team, as well as with his new light, Kagami Taiga.
As the year went by, Satori was glad to see that the Phantom seemed to be doing okay.
But that was only until Seirin won the Winter Cup.

It was late in the night. Seirin's basketball team had just returned back to the school after winning the Winter Cup.
As each player exited the bus, a bright smile could be seen on each of their faces.
Aida Riko, the team's coach, grinned. "Head to the gym everyone. We'll be holding a meeting."
The high school students responded in unison, heading to the gym.
Satori stood in the bus alone. She walked up and down the aisle, making sure no one left anything. A small smile was graced upon her lips, as she finally stepped down from the bus. She reached up, running her right hand through her black hair. "Things are getting better." Satori giggled to herself.
Slowly the girl walked to the gym afterwards. The gym was illuminated in the distance. It slowly got bigger and bigger as Satori neared. She was only a few feet away, when Kuroko came rushing out.
"Tetsuya?" Satori muttered, but he scurried right past her. For a mere second, the two old teammates made eye contact. That second was all Satori needed for all her past fury to return.
"Kuroko wait!" Riko had yelled from the gym's doorway. The coach had nearly frozen stiff seeing that Kuroko was gone and in his place was a deathly silent Satori.
Stiffly, the black haired first year walked toward the gym. Her head was down. Satori tried her best to keep her bubbling rage at bay. Riko watched at the manager stopped in front of her. "What. Happened?" Satori nearly growled.
"Satori-chan..I-" Riko had no words to say. Though she didn't know the whole story, Kuroko and Satori had dropped subtle hints. So Riko knew that Satori was incredibly protective of the Phantom.
Satori scowled, as she was not getting an answer from her coach. Instead, she walked past the second year and into the gym. There, grey eyes surveyed the faces of each basketball player. Guilt was ridden over their faces. Especially the fire-y redheaded ace, Kagami Taiga.
The girl growled, catching each of the member's attention. They stiffened seeing the angered glare that flared behind red glasses. "What the hell did you bastards say to Tetsuya?" Her voice was dangerously low. There was no one that responded. No one could even looked Satori in the eye.
"Satori, let's not-" Riko interrupted, trying to calm the furious manager.
"Shut up!" Satori yelled, making Riko flinch back. The team's captain, Hyuuga Junpei stepped forward. He offered a challenging glare, directing it at the manager.
"Who the hell do you think you're ta-" Hyuuga went to speak, but was cut off.
"What the fuck did you all say to Tetsuya!?" Satori screamed. The burning in her chest bubbled throughout the rest of her body. Her breaths turned ragged, and tears finally began to stream down her reddened cheeks. Satori looked down at the waxed, wooden floors. "You bastards hurt him....just like they did.." she spoke through gasps of air.
"Satori..." Riko tried to approach the first year again. This time she was successful in placing her hands amongst Satori's shoulders.
"Just like them.." Satori whispered. "Telling him he's useless. That he's not needed. That he should quit basketball." She continued. With every word, her voice got stronger, and louder. "With one taste of victory! With that knowing feeling that you beat the Generation of Miracles! You think you're any different than them!? NO! You're the SAME!"
Satori fell quiet, glaring at each of the basketball members. "Tetsuya and I quit then." She paused just enough to be able to shake away from Riko's grasp. "Just like you wanted right?"
The Seirin basketball team had no way to respond.
So they stood silently.
They watched as their manager walked away.

Satori appeared in front of Kuroko's lonely apartment. Her face was still red. Her black hair in knots, and her glasses crooked.
Slowly, her hand reached up. Her knuckles tapped against the wooden door. But no one had answered.
Satori knew that Kuroko sat on the other side. His head buried into his arms. Silent tears streaming down his chin and staining his clothes.
Satori kneeled down, just outside of the door. Her forehead propped against it. She sighed.
"Tetsuya." Satori called in a whisper. But the words fell to deaf ears. "Tetsuya. I promised didn't I? That I'd always be there for you." She began, hoping to get the Phantom to open his front door. "And I have, haven't I?"
There was still no response. Not even a sign that he was even listening. So Satori continued, "I'm sorry. I should've noticed sooner. I should've seen the signs." Satori blinked away her tears. She didn't want to show weakness. She had to protect Kuroko, and to do that, she needed to be strong. "But I've always did what I thought was best for you."
There was a small click sound.
And the front door opened.
Satori would've fallen flat onto her stomach, if not Kuroko being there to catch her.
Satori looked up through her black, messy hair. Kuroko was sitting in front of her. His blue eyes dull and hurt. Without any words being said in between, Satori reached up and wrapped her thin arms around Kuroko's neck. Kuroko didn't respond for a moment. Then he responded by wrapping his equally thin arms around Satori's waist. The blue haired teen buried his face into the crook of his friend's neck.
Satori tightened her grasp, pulling Kuroko even closer to her body.
"I'm sorry, Satori-san." Kuroko's voice was raspy. It was easy to tell that he'd been crying previously. Satori tightened her jaw again.
"You have no reason to be sorry, Tetsuya." Satori replied, lightly pushing her friend away. She reassuringly looked him in the eyes. Crystal blue meeting a light grey.
Slowly, tears began to pool at the edge of Kuroko's eyes again. He grimaced, reaching up in attempts to wipe them away. Satori took Kuroko's hand in hers. And smiled at him. Tears were also trailing down her cheeks.
Kuroko stared at Satori. He thought back to how she was the only one who was truly his friend. Through all his hardships, Satori has always been there. He suddenly smiled through his tears. Kuroko reach forward and pulled Satori into another tight embrace.
After their emotional time in the doorway, the two had migrated into Kuroko's living room. They each sat quietly on the small couch. No words needed to be said.
The two sat in silence.
"Tetsuya." Satori's voice cut through the air. Kuroko looked up from his lap. Satori was staring right back at him.
"Want to disappear with me?"
A/N: Let me know what you think, please. It'd be appreciated. o(`ω' )o
