Chapter 20 – Outlaws Of Love

I am 18 now. Prison was not exactly like I expected it to be, in movies and such you would always think of people screaming and begging to be released. However, in this prison, it was mostly empty.

I had noticed Mizuki (from the first ever episode of Naruto) a few times, just pacing around in his prison room, I had cursed him and got into a fist fight with him because he started insulting Naruto.

No one. And I mean NO ONE, insults my Naruto like that.

Speaking of the blonde knucklehead ninja, we had now become an ‘item’ as people called it.

Naruto visited me every day, which was really nice of him. He even helped me with the weekly training session.

I heard that Sasuke gathered Team Hebi, and killed Itachi. So one of my brothers was dead? Not an enjoyable feeling. Even if I was always annoyed with Itachi, he was still my brother.

Now there were only 4 Uchiha left.

Obito, Madara, Sasuke, and lastly, me.

After that, Sasuke decided that it would be clever to kill Danzo, who was also in the prison. I saw him, he just walked past me, like he didn’t even notice.

But after that, he came to me, opening the prison door and told me to come with him.

All I did was walk towards him, shut the prison door and waved goodbye.

‘Sorry, but I actually want somewhere to belong.’

That’s what I told him.

He cursed at me and told me that he wouldn’t care anymore.

‘You will always care, I’m your sister. But please remember that anytime, whatever you do, my arms will always be open for you.’

He stared at me and just walked away, not saying another word, because he knew I was right.

‘Come back to Konoha.’

Is what I told him.

He just looked at me blankly, then his lips curved up into a smile.

‘Okay.’

After that, he returned to Konoha.

Yeah, strange huh?

He surrendered and got taken and thrown into prison, but he apologises whenever he can, and we are sometimes put in the same room together.

I saw Karin, did you know that she was an Uzumaki? I did, so I told her, she was shocked that I knew. I told her that my boyfriend was an Uzumaki, his name was Naruto Uzumaki, and he used to think that he was alone.

She nodded and thanked me, knowing that she would meet him someday.

Life worked in strange ways, very strange ways.

I was actually happy in the prison, weird right? But it was true, they treated me like a person, not a tool.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that they decided to shorten my sentence to 3 years, realising that I wasn’t a bad person anymore. This is the start of my third year, and I was excited to be let out.

Just another 304 days and I was out, I was counting.

Many people had visited me over the years, Kiba, Shino, Hinata, Avril, Colin, Ino, Shikamaru, Chouji, Neji, Tenten, Rock Lee, Kakashi, Yamato, and obviously Sakura and Naruto. Tsunade came a lot as well, thanking me for helping out with the Council’s, she was actually usually drunk when she came to my room, and I just helped her collapse onto the hard bed and she was instantly knocked out from the overdose of alcohol.

I was thankful that they all decided to forgive me, for all of the things that I had done to them.

It was kind of unexpected, but still happened. Obviously not all of them and 100% convinced, but I’ll get them to trust me again.

This story of mine was confusing, emotional, annoying, but all at the same time, so heart breaking.

That’s why I’m calling it ‘Betrayal’.

I betrayed my friends, my comrades, my emotions, my heart, everything about me was changing and was hard to keep up with. I wanted to be normal. And am finally trying to.

Naruto and I are doing well, we make out a lot I guess, but that’s the point of a healthy relationship right? … Probably. It’s really fun. And you should see his abs! Uh-mazing. So hot.

All of our friends approved of our relationship, even Hinata shrugged, maybe she’s finally moved on? She should notice that Kiba only ever had his eyes on her.

Naruto was the most amazing person I had ever met, and I wouldn’t trade his love for anything in a million years.

I lifted the pen off the paper and smiled at it.

The book was nearly finished.

“Shizuku-chan?”

I turned and smiling softly at my boyfriend, he grinned and walked into my prison cell.

“Hey love.” I stood up and kissed him. “How are you?”

His lips curved up into a grin. I blinked.

“What? Why are you smiling like that?” I asked with a laugh.

He pursed his lips, “Shizuku-chan… They’re going to make me Hokage!”

My eyes widened and my mouth hung ajar, “Y-You’re… Y-You mean-?!”

“YES!”

I held a hand up to my mouth and tears streamed down my eyes, “Naruto! C-Congratulations!” I pounced on him and hugged him, smothering him with kisses.

“A-Ahaha!! Shizuku-chan! I have another thing to say too…” He lowered me down onto the bed. I sat on the soft blanket and…

He exhaled and got down. No… My eyes widened.

He was on one knee.

My heart raced and I held one hand to my mouth. Tears welled up in my eyes.

“N-N-Naru…?” I stuttered.

He opened a little box and there lay a ring.

He blushed, “Uchiha Shizuku, I wanted going to ask you… would you-“

“YES!” I jumped up from the bed and jumped into his arms, crying from the joy. “Do you even need to ask?!”

He grabbed me and swung me around.

I cried and looked back at the nearly finished book on top of the table.

I quickly ran to it and opened the last writing-filled page.

By the way, Naruto just proposed to me.

I said yes.

I guess this story about ‘Betrayal’ has a happy ending.

Everything is perfect.
