SERIES DESCRIPTION
☠︎︎༒︎☠︎
Chaos is the initial rudimentary mass of being. From them emerged the Protogenoi. Besides being a deity, Chaos is a shapeless void below even the depths of Tartarus, the realm embodied by one of her sons. Once someone enters Chaos, they become nothing and are dissolved by the void. She is where faded gods reside in eternal sleep, being their equivalent to the afterlife.
Before the sea, the stars, the lands and sky, there was but one face of nature in the entire universe, whom they called Chaos. She was a rough and uneven mass, in which there was nothing except idle weight and the congealed, dissonant seeds of unstable things.
No Titan yet gave forth his sunlight to the world, nor yet did Selene and Helios display the waxing moon and the sun, nor did the earth yet hang in surrounding air, nor had yet Amphitrite held in her embrace the far reaches of the world.
The ground was unstable, the waves were unswimmable, the airs were lightless; no form of anything lasted, for one hindered another, and in one body cold contended with hot, wet strove against dry, soft things fought with hard things, and the weightless grappled with the weightful.
Eventually, Chaos would form the Earth (Gaea), the Infernal Pit (Tartarus), and the Mist/Darkness (Erebos). Later, Night (Nyx) would also be born from Chaos in union with Tartarus. Along with Nyx, Chaos created Misery/Poison (Akhlys).
After beginning an Olympian riot against her husband Zeus, Hera and the other gods were punished for their rebellion. While Apollo and Poseidon were temporarily stripped of their godly powers, Hera was given the worst punishment of all: she was chained right above the terrifying abyss of Chaos. Every day, Zeus would visit his wife with the Master Bolt and threaten to let her tumble into the void.
Hephaestus could hear the wails of his mother all the way from Mount Olympus, which infuriated him, as he could not bear to hear her suffering such a harsh punishment. As a result, he finally set her free. Hera tearfully embraced him and promised to never call Hephaestus ugly ever again.
The primordial gods were the first beings to emerge after the creation of the cosmos. Unlike the Titans and Olympians, the primordial gods were not generally anthropomorphic—that is, they did not have the physical appearance and qualities of human beings. Many of them were personifications of elements or natural forces—most notably, Gaia (earth) and her consort Uranus (sky).
Together, Gaia and Uranus gave birth to many key deities and creatures. For example, they were the parents of the Titans, who overthrew Uranus and became the rulers of the cosmos (until they, in turn, were usurped by the Olympians).
The primordial gods, having ceded their power to their descendants, were not widely worshiped in ancient Greece. However, Gaia was seen as the mother of creation. The most significant of the primordial beings, she was worshiped as one of the "chthonic" gods, a special class of deities associated with the earth, death, and the Underworld.
The chthonic gods were honored through special rituals, such as nocturnal sacrifice or holocaust sacrifice (that is, a sacrifice in which the victim is completely burned rather than cooked and eaten).
Since Mount Olympus was shattered, the world has been split into three realms resembling the Cosmos: Earth, the Twilight Vale, and the Underground.
And inside the Twilight Vale is a city called Ethead, which is located in the other world where both scientists and Greek gods govern; there, you will see a golden realm like you have never seen before.
Once you unlock the key and grasp the true importance of destiny within the magical realms of the Book of Fates, it will transport you to a world unlikely that you have never experienced before.
THE MOIRAI were the three goddesses of fate who personified the inescapable destiny of man. They assigned to every person his or her fate or share in the scheme of things.
The individuals were Klotho (Clotho), the "the Spinner," who spun the thread of life, Lakhesis (Lachesis), "the Apportioner of Lots", who measured it, and Atropos (or Aisa), "She who cannot be turned," who cut it short. Zeus Moiragetes, the god of fate, was their leader.
At the birth of a man, the Moirai spinned out the thread of his future life, followed his steps, and directed the consequences of his actions according to the counsel of the gods. It was not an inflexible fate; Zeus, if he chose, had the power of saving even those who were already on the point of being seized by their fate.
The Fates did not abruptly interfere in human affairs but availed themselves of intermediate causes, and determined the lot of mortals not absolutely, but only conditionally, even man himself, in his freedom was allowed to exercise a certain influence upon them. As man's fate terminated at his death, the goddesses of fate become the goddesses of death, Moirai Thanatoio.
The Moirai were independent, at the helm of necessity, directed fate, and watched that the fate assigned to every being by eternal laws might take its course without obstruction; and Zeus, as well as the other gods and man, had to submit to them. They assigned to the Erinyes, who inflicted the punishement for evil deeds, their proper functions; and with them they directed fate according to the laws of necessity.
As goddesses of birth, who spinned the thread of life, and even prophesied the fate of the newly born, Eileithyia was their companion. As goddesses of fate they must necessarily have known the future, which at times they revealed, and were therefore prophetic deities. Their ministers were all the soothsayers and oracles.
As goddesses of death, they appeared together with the Keres and the infernal Erinyes.
The Moirai were described as ugly, old women and sometimes lame. They were severe, inflexible and stern. Klotho carries a spindle or a roll (the book of ate), Lakhesis a staff with which she points to the horoscope on a globe, and Atropos a scroll, a wax tablet, a sundial, a pair of scales, or a cutting instruments.
At other times the three were shown with staffs or sceptres, the symbols of dominion, and sometimes even with crowns. At the birth of each man they appeared spinning, measuring, and cutting the thread of life.
And they're here, the holder and protector of the Fates. The magical golden pages began to form at that same instant. Only certain children are able to view these golden pages, which act as holograms. Due to their selection as the offspring of Hades, Medusa, Aphrodite, Hephaeteus, Hermes, and Athena, they possess the capacity to recognize their futures.
And they can't ever run away from this destiny that was passed on them.
The war has just started.
It involves a battle between Scientists and the Greek Gods over determining the destinies of their chosen descendants.
NOTE: THIS WILL BE WRITTEN IN THIRD PERSON'S POV FOR THE MULTIPLE POVS.
