Nearly all ancient belief systems are based on the surface, the underground, and the sky in some way.

Typically, they're either represented by an abstract concept or a god. An example of the former is the Christian idea of heaven and hell. An example of the latter is the Ancient Greek gods Zeus and Hades.

The Ancient Greeks were polytheistic, meaning they believed in many gods. Greek mythology tells the story of these gods, including their complex family trees and tales of their interactions with each other and humanity.

At the heart of it all is Zeus, the father of the gods. He was a son of the titan Cronus, along with Poseidon and Hades. Together, these three brothers came to be associated with the sky, the surface, and the underground, respectively. As the story goes, when the world was divided among the three brothers, each got one part to rule over. 

Through these concepts, the Greeks were attempting to explain their relationship with verticality. The surface represented the world of humanity, the sky was represented by Zeus, and the underground was represented by Hades. Mount Olympus was believed to be the home of the gods, and it acted as a link between the world of the gods and the world of humanity.

Like most ancient cultures, the Ancient Greeks were using myths and legends to explain what they didn't understand. The surface is something every human understands and experiences, so there was no need to assign a god to it. It was physical and familiar.

The underground and the sky were abstract, however, so each was made the dwelling of a god. As with almost every version of this duality, the sky is seen as a positive place, and one to aspire to, while the underground is seen as a negative place, and one to be avoided. This is a timeless duality, and humanity has grappled with it since time immemorial.

⇝NOTE: I chose to create this novel as my first venture into the Fantasy genre since I enjoy reading a lot of Wattpad books with Greek mythological themes, especially the novel, Percy Jackson. I've always wanted to write a Greek mythology book with a twist that involves demigods and mythical creatures!

I looked for inspiration while writing this book, and it was one of the few books that gave me the idea to write this story, Kingdom of the Wicked Series by Kerri Maniscalo, Children of the Fallen Gods by Carrisa Broadbent, and other than Percy Jackson my inspiration to create this novel is because of the novel, Circe by Madeline Miller, Ariadne by Jennifer Saint and Lore by Alexandra Bracken.

And of course, one of my inspirations in writing fantasy in Wattpad is april_avery, AnakniRizal, Blue_maiden, jonaxx, inksteady, RonraViolet and lostmortals.

They are my literary inspiration, and I did not copy their stories, so let us be clear about that. Anyway, if you're searching for fantasy to read, I recommend these books because they have excellent plots, power structures, and world building.

I'm not a great writer, so I know I have a lot to learn. One of these goals is to discover my unique writing style. We all make mistakes, and I'm here to correct the ones in my work.

I appreciate everyone's feedback that I have a unique story about Greek mythology and scientists, but I still lack a writer's voice and need to work on characterization, showing rather than telling, and foreshadowing. True, not all writing experiences are the same. As the quotation states, "Life is not a bed of roses, neither it is full of thorns. It is full of ups and down. And to the person who advised me to follow my dreams because they will shape me into the person I want to be, through all of my ups and downs. ⇝NOTE: I think this has been a lot of questions and critiques kung bakit kakaiba ang names ko in naming my characters, well the answer is ayoko po talagang gawing common ang names niya for couple of reasons.

And isa sa reason is that I don't want my characters to have common names na usually ginagamit para po maging unique siya, I hope you understand po. I hope that this answered to all confusions, kasi gusto kong makita n'nyo ay 'yung talagang brand nila as a character.

And if you ask me if I'm going to use common names, I'm afraid that I can't do that, sorry. As much as possible gusto kong unique siya and that would be their brand for the names, thank you. Still thank you for suggesting it, but for me lang let's just stick on unique brand names, thank you.
