Ash looked quite discouraged as his Greninja had passed out mere seconds before the mega charizard X. "Return Greninja you did great. A red light enveloped the ninja frog Pokemon. As the ending ceremony concluded Ash walked to Lumiose tower to remember where his first day in Kalos began and where he met Clemont and Bonnie.

Time skip to the day of ash's departure from Kalos

"Can we come with you to Kanto" Serena and Bonnie asked simultaneously. Ash smiled as he replied "The more the merrier. Bonnie sat next to Ash on the plane kicking her feet back and forth since her feet didn't reach the floor. Soon the plane landed at the Viridian city airport. "Race you back home buddy" Ash said as he looked at the electric mouse Pokemon on his shoulder. Pikachu jumped from his perch on ash's shoulder and began a full sprint towards pallet town ash soon chasing after along with Bonnie while Serena and Clemont just strolled behind them. The first to arrive at the Kitchen residence was Pikachu. Ash soon caught up and saw his faithful starter licking a bottle of ketchup. "Where did you get that from buddy" Ash asked but before he could even get an answer the rest of the group caught up.

They all walked into the house to see all of Ash's old traveling companions and rivals sitting in the living room with most sitting on one side with their arms crossed. On the other side of the living room sat Dawn, Max, Brock, and Cilan who looked at ash with worry in their eyes. "What's going on here why is everyone in the living room" the Raven haired boy questioned before Serena and Clemont closed the door and sat on the side of the living room with the most people on it.

"Ash" Delia ash's mom was the first to speak "most of us came to a decision we want you to quit being a Pokemon trainer you are weak and so are the Pokemon you raised we will be taking them and raising them ourselves ". "Stop right there Mrs. Ketchum Ash is a great trainer and we will not let you talk bad about him" Brock said interrupting her.  "Brock is right Ash is amazing" Dawn continued.  "Face it he is a worthless trainer" Misty and May said.  Ash couldn't listen any more as Bonnie came and hugged as.  "Bonnie get away from him he is weak" Clemont yelled this caused Ash to finally jump into the conversation "do all of you feel this way " he asked all of the people on the opposite side of the room hoping that they would say no. To his dismay they said the exact opposite.

Ash's eyes flashed between amber, red, and blue as an odd blue aura surrounded him. Soon all of the traitors were flung against the wall before ash ran out towards professor Oaks lab hoping that the professor was still on his side. The people who stuck beside him quickly followed as Bonnie slammed the door behind her before catching up to the group.

Ash knocked on the door of the lab as it opened to reveal none other than Gary Oak and the professor who already knew what had transpired. They quickly rushed the group into the lab and locked the door to buy them enough time. "Ash give me your pokedex and go retrieve your Pokemon" Gary said as ash tossed the pokedex before he and Brock called all the Pokemon together to tell them what happened.

They were all enraged that his 'friends' would tell him that. They all agreed to go with him as they were returned to their respective pokeballs. Gary ran to them with Ash's pokedex "I have removed the Pokemon limit so you can carry an unlimited amount of Pokemon". Ash took the pokedex after returning all of his Pokemon. Soon the group heard three familiar cries as they turned towards the sky to see Pideot, Charizard, and Butterflies all coming to him.

Ash quickly explained before returning them to their pokeballs. "Go to the Alola region and find professor Kukui he will keep you and your friends safe" Samuel Oak said as ash nodded and brought Noivern, Charizard, and Pidgeot out before the group climbed on and said their goodbyes. "Aren't you coming with us" ash asked before they nodded no. " We will be your eyes and ears on the inside " Gary said before hearing banging on the front door of the lab and shooed them away.  Ash and the group nodded and flew to the Alola region.

After hours of flying they finally reached Melemele island and found the small lab of professor Kukui. They calmly knocked on the door after returning the Pokemon. Kukui opened the door and invited them in. "Oak filled me in on what is going on I have made arrangements for you to stay at the house of a girl named Lillie but first I'll give you these" he said before handing each of them a pokeballs containing an alolan starter Pokemon.

The professor gave them the address before the group took off. As they reached the mansion they were greeted by a girl in all white clothes. She introduced herself as Lillie Aether. She looked at the group and blushed as her eyes landed on the Raven haired trainer. "I have made arrangements for each of you to stay in a room in the mansion" she said in a shy but sweet tone as she showed them to their rooms.

Ash had a room that was right next to Lillie's with a door that connected them while the others were in rooms in the same hall. As they settled in ash sensed two familiar but friendly auras coming from outside he walked out to see a mewtwo and a female Lucario standing each holding a pokeballs. "So you two want to stay with me I take it" ash asked as they both nodded and we're registered as his in the pokedex. He quickly returned them and went back to his room. "Um Lillie" ash said shyly "is there an open field nearby". "Yes in the forest out back why" the blond haired girl asked quizzically. "I just wanted to know so I could find a place to train my Pokemon. They both began to blush as they looked at each other. Ash gave a slight smile as he laughed a little.
