PROLOGUE
The boy looked at his feet as they swung and gently scuffed the floor before rising into the air again. He could feel the breeze in his face as his tears blew away as soon as they emerged. His heart felt heavy and a sick feeling washed over him as he tried to forget how his entire world had imploded in just a short space of time.
He couldn't believe how the one person he trusted and loved the most in the world had turned on him. He was angry he felt betrayed. Then he heard muffled footsteps behind him, he stopped the swing and hesitantly turned to see who was behind him. He sighed.
"What do you want" he asked, his voice void of any life. "I just wanted to make sure that you were ok" the other person replied. "You do know that he's never going to love you like you need him to, don't you"
"Please just leave me alone" the boy sobbed. "I can't" was the reply. "Your mine now, so you need to get used to the fact" the guy replied.
The boy on the swing just shook his head, "I'll never belong to you, ever". He didn't realise just how much of a mistake he had made by making that statement and then turning his back, until he felt a sharp pain in his head and then everything went black.
Shortly after the rain began to fall but it couldn't wash away the blood splatter from the swing or the ground beneath and it couldn't move the smashed glass from the cell phone that was left trodden on and broken.
The remains of the phone was the only thing left that indicated that the boy had been there that night and now he was gone. Gone forever?
