Finally back with an update.

Documents were sprawled over her desk with small sticky notes placed at random places to keep the papers from flying away. Stationary looked like it had been thrown across the wood in anger. She felt like she was going insane. The stuffiness of the small room was getting to Hye-Jin and she found it hard to focus for any longer.

She let out a heavy sigh before proceeding to tie her hair into a ponytail in hopes of feeling a sense of coolness. On the other side of the office, her coworkers began to get a little worried as Hye-Jin took a deep ragged breath before placing her hands, enclosed together, onto the desk. She was always calm and never this agitated because of a case.

The oldest in the room felt as though something was wrong and didn't hesitate to make sure her younger colleague was okay. "Jinnie? You doing okay?"

Hye-Jin brushes her off not wanting to communicate with any human. "I'm fine unnie. Just finding it hard to deal with the case at the moment."

The previous night, Hye-Jin had gotten no sleep: her mind was set on finding the killer and to bring justice to the victim. This case would decide her future; if she were able to solve it and provide acceptable evidence, she would finally be known a successful Attorney. Everything would end up being perfect only if she could solve this case. She needed a lead.

Hours passed and the female couldn't stand being stuck in a small room. On impulse, she arranged the documents into a folder, placed it in a backpack and set off to try and find some sort of lead.

Upon feeling the breeze and being able smell the freshness of nature, Hye-Jin instantly felt more relaxed and able to function. Instead of her mind being sluggish, it now felt ready to run a marathon. It was as though there was a drug in the air, making her feel awake.

Walking along the busy streets, she felt peace in hearing the occasional strangers chatting away. She loved to see people interact with one another; it made them seem more human, their emotions would flow so easily when talking which allowed her mind to be at piece. If one day she were to meet a person with no emotions, she may malfunction.

Her hand tightly gripped her backpack as she walked with her mind buzzing in excitement. She had so many theories but they were based on pure guesses. Her first task would be to find the people close to Taehyung. The aforementioned model wasn't one to tell everyone of his relations too often, making everything harder for the young female. After walking for a few minutes, she finally made up her mind: the best place to start would be the agency Taehyung worked at.

She took out her phone, searching for a contact number, and once found, urgently dialled it. After a few rings, someone on the other side picked up the phone.

"Good afternoon. What may I do for you?"

"I believe I'm talking to the secretary of Mr Choi, am I right?"

"Yes, speaking. Who is this?"

"Hello, I am Ahn Hye-Jin. I've recently taken the case of Kim Taehyung's murder, and you must know that Mr Choi was known to be the manager of Taehyung. As you should know, I need to speak to those who know Kim Taehyung well. Mr Choi is one of these people, so I would appreciate if you could set up a meeting for me with him today."

"Ms Ahn, I'm sorry but my boss is rather busy at the moment, I don't think he will be open for an investigation any time soon."

Her tone changed from one of politeness to one of intimation. "Ma'am this is of great importance. I require only 15 minutes to speak with him. Else, I will have valid reason to assume that he is a major suspect, and if he were the suspect, you too would be sentenced for assisting a criminal. So please, give me 15 minutes to talk with the man."

"M-Ms Ahn, i-isn't that a little drastic. *sigh* I may be able to convince him for a meeting in about 10 minutes. I cannot do any later than this time so please if you wish to come, come immediately."

"That's perfect. I shall see you soon."

With that, she ended the call. To say Hye-Jin was pleased with her negotiation skills would be an understatement. She would finally get closer to solving the mystery. Her heart was pumping with excitement.

Hye-Jin couldn't sit still: she was seated in a room waiting for the manager to walk in. He was already late by a few minutes and Hye-Jin couldn't help but think this was a bad idea. If he actually was the killer, it would be unwise to sit in an unauthorised room alone with him. This could be her final moments alive. This could be the moment where her life en-

Hye-Jin's though process was broken by a deep masculine voice. "Ms Ahn? I'm sorry for the delay. Shall we start?" He took a seat in front of the female, a small table dividing the two.

"Y-yes of course M-Mr Choi."

'Don't stutter Hye-Jin. He can't know you're scared of him. And you shouldn't be scared of him.'

She took out a piece of paper and began writing notes on it. "I thank you for agreeing to this. First question, how did Kim Taehyung often act when he was at your agency?"

The man cleared his throat before answering, "He was a sweet boy, merry each day. Though I must say, the week before his passing, he seemed to be a little timid. Not to an extreme extent, he just was a little stiff. And before you ask, no I do not know what would have caused his timidness, and it certainly wasn't me or any of our staff."

Nodding to his statements, she continued making notes. Though it did surprise her that he knew what she would say next. "Hm okay. The day of the incident the said man did come to work correct? Did he abide by his schedule that day? And what exactly was his schedule?"

"Yes, Taehyung did come to the company that day. He did request to leave early though, something about a dinner with his childhood friends."

"Friends?" Could those friends be the killer? "Do you perhaps remember any of these friends' names? I'm sure Taehyung would have told you."

"They didn't seem to be too memorable...but I do remember one of them. Kim Namjoon."

"Kim Namjoon? The Kim Namjoon?!"

"I was just as shocked as you were. I'm absolutely certain that it was Kim Namjoon he was meeting that night."

After a few more questions, Hye-Jin was pleased with the results of this meeting. Her 15 minutes were over so she stood up to leave the building.

"Wait. Ms Ahn. I'm sure this time wasn't enough for you. Here's my personal number, don't be afraid to call me and set up another meeting if need be. Perhaps over dinner?"

Hye-Jin's good mood took a turn. She couldn't believe that the man, who was more than a decade older than her, was trying to flirt with her. Trying to keep her composure she responded, "I don't think that's necessary Mr Choi. If I need to speak to you, I can contact your secretary."

"Ms Ahn. I'm sure simply talking over dinner wouldn't hurt. Are you perhaps free any time soon?'

A scowl had now adorned her face as she quickly packed up her belongings. "No Mr Choi. I have no need to talk to you for any longer. Now, if you shall excuse me, I will take your leave."

She left the room within the blink of an eye, not forgetting to slam the door on her way out. Not even stepping outside would calm her down; she looked ready to kill. It took everything in her to stop herself from barging back into the room and laying a punch on that revolting face. She wanted to teach him a lesson but she respected herself too much to destroy her image.

Though there was something to look forward to. Kim Namjoon.

A/N:
This was the most dialogue I've written in my entire life. I'm sorry if it ends up boring you.

Also, my editor (aka my weird friend) is currently unaware of me updating this story. I shall tell her soon, but if you do know her, don't tell her of my actions.
Update: I told her. Thankfully she wasn't mad.

I'll have another chapter for you soon.
