Calvin fixed his bow tie and ran a hand on his head to smooth his super short buzz cut hairs for the tenth time. He looked at the flowers on his hand "I hope Winnie will like them."
Calvin wanted everything to be perfect. Reservation at the most famous and expensive restaurant, his most precious car; Lamborghini Veneno, a limited edition designer suit, new brand shoes to expensive flower bouquet he did it all. He was nervous, after all that was his first date with Winnie.
Calvin had only been dreaming about that day for the past seven years. It was finally happening, though he was nervous but he was mostly happy.
Calvin checked himself again to the rear view mirror and smiled, Winnie will come down any minute now. It was time. Calvin was there 30 minutes early, he didn't want to take any chances with traffics.
Calvin abruptly stood upright when he heard the sound of the door opening. He nervously held the flowers with both of his hands and put the best smile on his face, he had been practicing that moment. He looked up and...the smile immediately fell off his face, it was replaced with a look of astonishment, he could hear his heart beat faster than it has ever did. He couldn't move. How could he?? There the most beautiful stunning woman was walking down those stairs.
Calvin knew the dress he gifted her was beautiful but with her wearing it, it was beyond his imagination. And that moment was even more special because she was coming to him, and not with a detestable or boredom expression on her face, instead she had a very beautiful smile. Her hair was also done perfectly; half up braided sideways and tied together half down curled, and she had on those beautiful black heels. She was just too perfect.
"Did you wait long??" Calvin didn't even realise Winnie reached him until he heard her beautiful mesmerizing voice.
"N-n-no." Calvin mentally face palmed himself, how can he stutter! He must have looked like a fool! He imagined that moment he would be cooly giving her flowers and comment on how beautiful she was, maybe kiss the back of her hand then open his car door for her, asking how her day was as he started driving while he plays on background some beautiful romantic songs that he prepared.
Calvin coughed to clear his voice and compose himself before answering again, "I did not wait long at all."
"So...how do I look?" Winnie asked as she twirled around playfully with a smile on her face. He mentally face palmed himself again, he was supposed to be the one to comment on that first.
"Y-you're gorgeous.Uh I mean you look beautiful, gorgeous. You are perfect. I don't even know what I am saying, I'm literally blinded by your beauty," he flinched at how he sounded. Oh lord! can this get any worse?
Calvin was surprised by Winnie intoxicating laugh. "Thank you," she muttered. He sighed in relief. Well that wasn't so bad.
"Are the flowers for me?" She asked after some seconds of awkward silence.
"Oh yeah right." This time he couldn't help but real face palmed himself. He quickly handed her the flowers "Beautiful flowers for a beautiful lady." Oops..It can get worse!!
"Umm should we go now? We might be late if we don't leave now," he told her as he opened the passenger door. Leaving seemed like a good idea to him before he said anything stupid again and Winnie changes her mind and go back inside.

Katherine smiled at the valet and handed him the keys of her BMW. As she turned to enter the restaurant the sight of Bugatti La Vouiture Noire caught her attention but a familiar face that got off of it after caught her attention even more, she slowly approached him.
"Martin!!??" as he turned to face her she became sure it was him. A big smile immediately filled her face.
"Katherine??? Oh m-" she didn't even wait for him to finish before she threw herself at him for a tight hug. She could hear him laugh before he hugged her back.
"Do you know how long it has been?? I cannot believe I am meeting you here like this!!" she squealed as they parted from the hug.
"30 years. It has been 30 years." He told her with a sad smile. He couldn't believe 30 years have already passed. "How are you?? How have you been? Oh what am I saying! Of course you have been great, you look like you're still 18. You haven't aged at all. If anything you look more beautiful."
"Oh my God you still haven't changed at all, stop with the flattery. I look so old now," she playfully hit him on the shoulder before she quickly coughed and put on a serious face, "Don't think you're getting off that easily. You mister have a lot to answering for."
"Oh come on, you can't still be mad after all these years," he pouted.
"Don't make that face. I'm very very mad at you," she dramatically paused before continuing. "But I'll let it go for now only because it's a beautiful day for me. I have a dinner appointment with my son."
"You're here with your son?"
"He will be here soon," she answered as she looked around to see if Calvin was already there. She looked back at Martin, "And you, what are you doing here? Do you also have a dinner appointment?"
"No, not really. I'll have dinner at home with my son. I'm here for work," he told her.
"Oh okay," she nodded. "Wait...don't tell me this is one of your restaurants?"
"Yeah. How did you know?" he asked in astonishment.
"That this is your restaurant? Or that you own almost half of the restaurants in the country? And the answer to both is how can I not know when you're on almost every newspaper and magazine? How do you think I easily recognized you after all these years!"
"Now you're the one who is flattering me," he laughed. Katherine couldn't help but smile. She missed old times. Her phone rang and she looked at the caller id and saw that it was Calvin.
"Excuse me for a moment, it's my son," She told Martin before answering the call.
"Cal where are you??" She paused and listened, "Oh you're here already! I'm outside, I met with an old friend and we were catching up. I'll be right up," she paused again before saying "see you in a minute."
Martin smiled as he watched Katherine talk on the phone. Katherine hung up and looked at him.
"Oh what to do!? My son is already here, he thought I was already up that's why he went there already," she sadly told him.
"Oh no problem. We can just catch up some other day," he told her with a small smile.
"Tomorrow. Tomorrow is weekend, what are you doing tomorrow? If you have some time let's meet for a coffee or something. I know you're a busy man but...." She was cut off by Martin.
"Yes, let's meet tomorrow. Tomorrow is good. Instead of a coffee let's meet for lunch," He suggested.
"Oh Okay." she opened her wallet and took out a business card and hand it to him, "text me the address and time and I'll be there."
"Alright, see you then," he told her as he put the business card in his pocket.
"And don't even think of running off without texting me," she threatened.
"Oh I'm hurt!! After all those years we spent together you should know I never break promises," he held his hands on his heart pretending to be hurt.
"Yeah right," she scoffed.
"What do you mean by that, I don't. How else do you think I became a successful businessman, it's my ability to keep promises. I always keep the promises I made to my customers and investors," he smirked.
"Are you bragging now?" she rolled her eyes playfully. "Plus you are the one who went off the grid without contacting your best friend, you're in no position to talk. Ah just talking about it reminds me how angry I'm at you. I imagined I would beat you up the day I met you. Consider yourself lucky today."
"Woah..." he exclaimed but after seing her serious expression he added "I'm so sorry."
"Save it for tomorrow," she told him. "Oh I have so much to tell you. I don't even think lunch would be enough for it." she laughed, forgetting that she was supposed to be mad. Martin just looked at her with a smile, she hasn't changed at all.
"I should go now," she told him with a smile before waving at him as she started walking away.
"Oh okay, Bye. See you tomorrow," he told her with the biggest smile on his face as he waved back at her.
Martin watched as she quickly walked in the dark green long dress and high heels she was wearing, her shoulder length black hair bouncing as she walks. He didn't even realize she was gone and he was staring at an empty space with his hand raised until when a couple passed and stared at him. He quickly put his hand down and smiled at how for a moment he forgot he was in his early 50's and felt like that silly 20 years old boy he was back then.

"Mike! Cal!" Haroon called.
"Haroon! Where were you man?" Michael asked as he bro hugged Haroon.
"In the library, I lost track of time" Haroon answered.
"You're such a nerd!" Calvin rolled his eyes.
"Not everyone is a genius like Mike, others we have to actually study to pass," Haroon smiled before bro hugging Calvin also. Calvin scrunched up his nose before hugging him back. Michael smiled at the sight, Calvin was not a huggy type but Haroon would always hug him anyway and Calvin would always scrunch his nose as if he is disgusted by the act but they all knew deep down he loved them.
Calvin was not a person who would easily show his affection, he was always a closed off type. In most of the times people couldn't tell what is going on in his head, but Michael and Haroon knew, at least most of the times.
"I do study!" Michael scowled playfully.
"Yeah sure you do!" Calvin snorted.
"Okay let's go now! Mom Katy must be waiting," Haroon said eagerly.
"Yeah, I'm so hungry." Calvin yawned.
"Then why didn't you eat earlier in the cafeteria?" Michael asked him.
"The cafeteria foods are trash compare to Mom Katy's. I didn't want to spoil my stomach," Calvin shrugged.
"Yeah, that's right! Mom Katy should really consider being a chef as a side job you know" Haroon said.
"It's a waste that we are the only ones who gets to enjoy such divine!" Calvin said dramatically.
"Yeah, she is a world's treasure! We've to protect her at all costs!"
"Indeed! Agent Cal in her service," Calvin saluted.
Michael laughed at the two of them. "Stop it you two!"
Michael tossed the car keys to Calvin before getting in the passenger side. Calvin got on the driver's side and Haroon sat in the back. They all threw their backpacks at the empty back seat as Calvin started pulling out of the School's driveway.
"So since we don't have practice today, what should we do tonight?" Michael asked.
"I won't be staying tonight. Mom is not feeling that well," Haroon said.
"What!??? Why didn't you tell us before!" Michael asked in shock as he turned to face Haroon.
"It's nothing serious really."
"You always say that!" Calvin scowled.
"I'm calling mom now, I'm telling her we won't be going home. We're staying at Mom Esha's instead," Michael told them as he take his phone out to dial his mom.
"Mike that's not really necess-"
"If you know me well you should know that there's no way I'm changing my mind," he smiled at him before pressing the call button.
