Henry was sitting on the sofa in the living room, checking some business proposals on his laptop when his phone rang. He glanced at the caller id and it read A, he quickly put the laptop down and answered the phone.

"What's up Andrew? Why did you call?" he asked. He listened to the other end and his eyes widened as he received the news.

"And why are you telling me this now?" Henry asked him, a bit furious.

"You didn't think it's important? Oh my God!! I told you to tell me everything no matter how small it is," he took a big breath and released it "Anyway, just find her! Find her before he does and let me know immediately." he told the person and hung up.

Henry stared at an empty space, a lot of thoughts ran through his head. He didn't even notice the door opening and Martin walking in.

"What are you so serious thinking about?" Martin asked him. He looked up to see his father and smiled at him.

"Umm nothing much," Henry told him "So how did the lunch go?"

"Don't even remind me!" Martin sighed.

"That bad?"

"No, not bad. It went well. It's just that I realized how foolish and selfish I was all these years."

"Why? Why are you saying that?" Henry asked, surprised Martin would call himself that.

"All these years I just cared about my feelings and didn't even bother to check on the woman I loved more than anything! Today I just found out how hard her life has been. JR died more than 20 years ago and she has been a single mother all those years and if that isn't bad enough now she lost her only son," Martin sighed sadly.

"That JR died!!! And she lost her son too!! Poor woman," Henry was a bit surprised at the news. No one deserved that much pain in their life. Although he didn't know her, he pitied her. Maybe because she is Martin's love of his life. He could tell Martin still cared and loved her so much. Thinking about that he was a bit happy the woman was single, maybe they can use that chance and finally be together.

"She had no one by her side. She must have been so lonely. Why did I never check up on her!? Just why!?" Martin was furious at himself.

"I would have done the same if I were in your shoes. I don't think I could watch the woman I love happily married with my friend," Henry reasoned with him, assuring him what he did was nothing out of ordinary, anyone on his shoes would probably do the same.

"I really thought they were living a happy life somewhere. I never thought she could be all alone struggling to raise a child all by herself.  Growing up as an orphan she hated being alone more than anything yet I left her all alone."

She grew up as an orphan too?? Henry couldn't help but pity the woman even more. The woman seemed like she lived a very tough life.

Martin continued to express his sorrow, "She knew everything about me, whenever she saw a newspaper or a magazine with my name on it she read them all. We used to be so close and yet I let her find out how I was through newspapers, how sad and upset she must have been whenever she read those newspapers!! One email was all it could have take, I should have emailed her back at least once. I should have asked if she was doing okay. I really regret not doing that."

"It's ok Dad. You can make up for lost time now. You can be there for her now. You still have a chance," Henry told him.

"Yeah, you're right. I'll have to make up for the lost time," Martin said, determination on his face. "I'll never let her be alone again, I'll find her son too."

"Yeah, that's the spirit Dad," Henry cheered him up.

Martin smiled to show his appreciation for his encouraging words before leaning back on the sofa.

"But I think first you should take a shower and have a nap maybe, you look beat up," Henry suggested.

"I wish I could do that, but I have a bussiness meeting in Wohio after 2 hrs," Martin told him.

"Oh, was it today? I totally forgot," Henry mentally face palmed himself. How could he forget that?

"Yeah it is today, I wish I could have rearranged that but we can't afford to delay the transaction any longer. I've to leave in 30 minutes."

"Oh okay...will you be back today?" Henry asked him.

"No, I don't think so. I'll be too jet lagged if I do so, I'm already tired as it is. I think I'll just come back tomorrow morning, or afternoon who knows," he snickered.

"Yeah do that. Tomorrow is Sunday anyway, you don't have to rush. Use this chance to take a good rest in Wohio," Henry agreed with him.

"Yeah, I'll do that," he smiled at him " Okay I'm going to take a shower. I'll be late if I stay any longer."

"Okay," Henry smiled back.

As soon as Martin left the room he took his phone and quickly ran outside to call Andrew back.

Katherine walked inside her house, she looked at an empty dark house. She walked towards the curtains and opened them but the light didn't reach the darkness she was feeling in her heart.

Ever since Michael's accident, their home has been the saddest place for her, but still it was the place she liked being the most, even if it was painful it's the place that hold most of their memories. She remembered how miserable she was after Jeremy's death. She didn't want to go through that all over again. That time Michael was there and he is the one who helped her overcome it but all alone she couldn't do that again. She wouldn't be able to recover from it. Michael has to be alive for her to live.

She walked to the hallway and looked at the pictures on the walls, the hallway that was filled with memories, she used to be so happy looking at them whenever she passed the hallway heading to hers or Michael's room, but then that she was looking at them all she felt was sadness and emptiness.

The first picture was the picture of an infant Michael, with her carrying him on her arms and Jeremy at the back hugging them. Then a picture of him and his father when he had his first tooth, followed by a picture of him when he first sat, then a picture of him when he started walking, followed by a picture of them three before Jeremy died which was the last picture with his father. Then a picture of him on the first day of kindergarten, followed by the picture of him and his two best friends he met in kindergarten Calvin and Haroon, and from there there were rarely picture of Michael alone anymore, it was picture of them three; Calvin, Haroon and Michael on their first day of 1st grade, picture of them when they played their first basketball match, their first football match, first day of middle school, first day of high school, the picture of their first trip alone when they were eighteen. Followed by pictures of each trip of each year.

The wall was filled with memories. She cried looking at them, she reached the last picture and sobbed even more, it was the last picture he took with him. It was her, Michael and Winnie. It was when he went to visit him in their university, few months before his accident. She looked at the door which was at the end of the hallway, she opened the doorknob and entered Michael's room.

Apart from regular floor and dust cleaning she has been leaving the room as it was before Michael left that day. That way she would feel as if Michael was still with him. She walked to the bedside and sat on the bed, she looked at the three photos on his nightstand, the photo that has always been there. The first one was the photo of her and Michael, it was on his 20th birthday. The second one was of Michael, Calvin and Haroon on their last trip before the year of the accident, it was six years ago. The last one was a photo of Michael and Winnie, it was taken on Winnie's birthday in their campus. She smiled at how happy Michael looked there, She was worried he would never be that happy when he went to university. She remembered how upset he was that he had to leave Haroon and Calvin behind and go to a university eleven hours away.

The university Michael went to was the best engineering university in the country, so he had no choice but to go. Calvin and Haroon went to an all business university which was back in their city. Michael was so upset about it, he didn't even smile once on his way there. But then two weeks later he called his mom sounding so happy and told her going there was the best decision he made in his life. Later on she found out it was all thanks to Winnie.

Winnie! She wondered if she was alright, she hoped she was. She sighed. She took the picture of Michael and her, she hugged it tight on her chest and rest her head on his pillow.

'Please be alive Michael,' she cried.

"MICHAEL!!!," Haroon shouted as he ran towards him. Michael was sitting on his car's bonnet. He turned his head when he heard his name and a smile immediately filled his face at the sight of his best friends. Haroon was sprinting like a mad man towards him and Calvin was walking in a very fast pace behind him.

Michael got off his car's bonnet just as Haroon reached him and envelopes him in a tight hug. Michael stumbled backward before he regained his balance and hugged him back.

"I've missed you Mike!"

Michael smiled, "me too man!"

"Someone would have thought you found your long lost lover!" Calvin said in amusement when he reached the two of them.

Haroon finally released Mike and Calvin went in for a side hug but Michael gave him a full hug.

"When did you get back?" Haroon asked.

"Why didn't you tell us you were coming back? We would've come to pick you up," Calvin said.

"That's because I wanted to surprise you." Michael smiled "So...How are you two holding up?"

"Worst! I missed having you around, there's nobody to tame Cal. He is getting worse without you," Haroon complained.

"Oh please, stop exaggerating" Calvin hit him on the shoulder playfully.

"Ouch! See what I'm telling you, he became more violent! Take me with you, don't leave me here," Haroon said dramatically.

"Drama queen!" Calvin rolled his eyes.

Michael laughed, "I see nothing much have changed!"

"How is your uni? We actually wanted to come and surprise you there but gosh college is too much work!" Haroon said..

"Tell me about it!" Michael sighed.

"So how have you been? I bet it's way harder for you since you're alone and away from home. At least the two of us go to the same college," Calvin said.

"I also thought it would be very hard but it's a bit manageable, but I still missed you guys a lot. " Michael smiled.

"Us too. It's been three whole month!!" Haroon pouted. "We've never been apart that long! The longest we went without seeing you was when you took that weekend trip with Mom Katy to help her with her first international exhibition!"

"Yeah that one I remember, I was so sad you two didn't get to come with us!"

"So, this girlfriend of yours you have been constantly telling us on the phone. When do we get to meet her?" Calvin asked.

"She is not my girlfriend! We are just friends," Michael shook his head playfully at him as he smiles.

"I had my doubts but since you're not scowling as you say that I got my doubts cleared!"

"Mine too," Haroon chipped in.

"What are you two on about? It's not like that, really. But we are real close friends. And you are going to meet her soon. She actually can't wait to meet you two, I've talked about you guys so much to her," Michael smiled.

"So...was it love at first sight?" Calvin asked.

"We are not going to have this conversation," Michael shook his head at them.

"Wait..is she the one?" Haroon asked as he winked at him.

"Haroon not you too!" Michael scolded him.

"Yep she definitely is the one!" They fist bumped.

"I take it back, a lot has changed. Since when does Haroon takes your side?"

"Since you decided to go and fall in love before us!" Calvin laughed.

"Okay, that's enough!" Michael said as he tackles them both.

"Ouch let us go!" Haroon cried dramatically.
