Blake Ryder is dead.

He is gone, nothing but a bunch of rotting flesh buried six feet beneath a pile of soil with a nice piece of marble with his name and dates written on it. His friends had wept for him, and his family's tears had eventually gone dry. But how exactly, however, is he not as dead as everyone thinks is a complete mystery.

He died of an illness to incurable to save, and that alone is a strong backing as to why he shouldn't be alive. However, it was one fine morning in which Blake had woken up in a bed much softer than his own. He was surprised, to say the least, considering he had heard his own heart monitor die down into a flat line before his vision blackened completely.

Awake once more, in the world of the dead, this 18 year old boy who died for all the wrong reasons has another chance to live a life he never had. In which he would perhaps finally, meet another girl of his dreams to mend his shattered heart from the life he once had.

In love with this book. I cried at least ten times, thankfully in the comfort of my room. I swear this author has a way with words; everything flowed and you felt everything. The best books have authors that describe things beautifully, even if the plot itself isn't super dramatic. I totally suggest Hiraeth to anyone who wants to have a crying session. Or likes sappy but powerful stories. Go check it out my fellow crybabies ( if you get what i just said, i love you). 🍼
