After few more hours the operation was over. Doctors sighed as they saw the girl sleeping with the mask on her face for oxygen. Doctor said to nurse who was watching Elijah.

"You can remove the IV from him."

"Okay."

Elijah opened his eyes hearing it.

"How is she doctor?"

His face glistened with fear.

Doctor smiled.

"She is fine stable now but unconscious, by tomorrow she will wake up."

"Okay thankyou doctor."

Doctor nods and went back to his duty.
Nurse removed the IV.

"You can go now her bills will be activated soon on reception counter please assure to pay it."

"Okay."

Sighing he checked her bag. Her phone was mess. The phone got slipped out of her pocket to road shattering it's display.
"Shit..."

He saw the caller ID ringing.

Naming 'Mom'.

"Mom! Damn should I take it and inform?"

He whispered himself.

After some time of debate he swiped the green button.

"Bella where were you you haven't called for a week now what happened your dada is annoying me that I should come over mad check on you so I ..."

"Ma'am..."

His voice interrupted in between causing the lady to stop her words.

"Huh? Who is this where is my
daughter?"
Bella's mom couldn't stop herself from asking that.

"Ma'am calm down I will tell everything."

"First tell me who are you?"

Elijah sighed and replied.

"I am Elijah her classmate, and she got into an accident early today. She was in hospital but she was stable now."

"What? Accident?....Harper ....!"

"She...."

The voices of the lady blurred with tears through the line. Elijah hold the call guessing her mom called out for her dad.

The male grumpy husky voice erupted.

"Where is my daughter is she okay?"

"She is unconscious for now doctor said she will wakeup by tomorrow and she is on sedation for the pain."

"Ughh!...which hospital?"
Grumpy dad yelled.

"She is in Crush Hospital near our college."

"Okay hold on we are coming by night!"
Dad said cutting the call urgently.

Elijah sighed. His eyes glanced at the closed curtain as he was not allowed to the curtain he stood their motionless.
Nurse came as she saw him standing there.

"Sir you can't stand there no longer as we have to assure patient's safety from infections."

Elijah nods and walked out fo the room.
He saw girls running to the emergency room door step.

They wanted heavily as they spoke with strike words.

"Elijah you what you did to her."

"I didnt do anything I told her to sit properly she fell off from the bike as a bump came across the road."

"Shit."
Jane groaned.

"Can we see her?"
Jossie asked looking through the circle of the door.

"No she is unconscious operation just finished only."
He said sitting on the chair looking on the bills.

"I will come now."

Girls nodded as they waited infront of the room.

"God I hope she is okay damn this Elijah always out her into the problems."

Jane said crossing her hands in annoyance.

"Where did he go?"

Jossie asked turning to Elijah who was walking directly to the reception counter.

"I guess for paying bill."

"What about her parents."
Jane asked worrying.

"Now let's not worry them too."
Jossie said checking her phone and Elijah who was talking to the receptionist.

The day was gloomy for him. His fake girlfriend was on hospital bed recovering from her injuries but Elijah couldn't understand why her and why he chose her into this mess. If she hasn't with him on the bike and didn't decide for the ball she could have leaved peacefully like other girls.

He restlessly walked here and there on the turf of the hospital. Their some families sat on wooden bench for their children to calm down from the naughty things they could do inside the hospital hallways disturbing doctors and nurses.
A small smile formed on his face as he watched them and remembered his parents who was far away from him.

His parents only mom who was left for him will only care about the money and wealthy lifestyle.

His father died with his grandpa as they went on a ride in their family car. It was a rainy night. Elijah grandma constantly called to their phones. But no one took it. After a few hours grandma got the emergency call from nearby hospital as they got it into an accident and passed away on the spot due to excessive bleeding.

Mrs. Luke and Elijah rushed to the hospital. Elijah tried to call his mother as he need to inform her husband died.

But nowhere the call is reaching. From that day he doesn't contact her as she didn't attend the funeral neither came to home till now.

Tears ran through his cheeks. His hands trembled. He finds himself struggling to breath. Quickly he called Chris to come to the hospital.

"Hello Chris...."

His voice sounded excited to see Chris and he knows Chris was his emotional suport other than others.

"Please come to the Crush Hospital."
Elijah's voice was low.

"What?"

Chris came rushing as he saw Elijah on the turf finding himself to talk.

"What happened why are you here?"
His voice tensed.

"I just remembered."
Elijah's lips quivered trembling. His sweat dripped glistening with sunlight through the side of his cheeck with tears.

"Aish no I had told you don't remember she is not your mom she doesn't want you as her son. We are here for you forget the last it's been years already try hard."

Chris hugged him as he gently pattered him comforting him easing his mind.

He calmly pulled away from the hug and he glanced at his eyes to check if he was okay or not. Elijah's breath stabled gradually. He funded himself again dipped in the pain of horizon circling him and engulfing him salot again and again. Nature didn't seem calm about it as it rained heavily. Rain dropped from the blue sky above them. Chris watched the families getting their children on the back and running to the building.

Children cried for the turf and tried to beat the elders shoulders as they interrupted their playing moment.

Chris said in low voice.

"Come let's go inside and let's see why you are here!"

Chris took Elijah's hands and walked inside the hospital.

Silence gripped on their face. Elijah still didn't spoke anything. Time went fast. Chris checked his wrist watch. As he debated himself to not ask or not.

"Elijah..."

Elijah turned to Chris as he witnessed the horrible day ahead of him.

"It was all gloomy right what about a coffee this time?"

Elijah asked as he thought he will the accept the small coffee treat.

"No thanks!"

Unfortunately he didn't accepted his treat.

"It was not a question come with me."

Groaning Chris dragged Elijah to canteen for a talk. Afterall these days they spend on class and bullying the students.
