A/n: time for the first encounter with Nelo Angela, how will it go? read and find out.

Y/n arrived at the castle specifically a wall. So using his expert detective skills the Nephalem figured there must be a entry point, but before he could find it a familiar Red Devil came crashing through the wall skidding to a stop at Y/n's feet.

"Well no now you show up." Dante groans as he gets up and pops his back. "Looking like you just finished your shift at the coal mines."

"Well I did fight a giant flaming spider." Y/n responded looking down at his soot covered clothes. "You ain't looking to good yourself." He motioned towards Dante who was shaking the dirt from his coat and hair. Y/n leaned over to look through the wall seeing a fountain and a few benches. "So what exactly sent you through this here wall?"

"That!" Dante shouted as a dark figure appeared on top of the wall. The figure soon leaped high into the air blocking out the sun before swinging it's massive sword down and crushing the ground where Dante and Y/n once stood. Thankfully the Devil hunters rolled out of the way before the blade struck.

"And here I was thinking knights were helpful." Y/n remarked as he looked at the armored figure infront of him. Now getting a better view Y/n could see that the figure was covered in thick black armor pulsing with violet and blue energy, it's helmet covered the whole head even the face with horns that jutted out and spiraled slightly on either side of it's face. In it's hand a massive sword that radiated blue and violet energy just like the armor. "Judging from the helmet I take it your the strong silent type eh?"

"You hit the nail on the head with that one," Dante pulled a sword off his back that had a dragon like guard and crackled with electricity.

"You got a new weapon as well? Aw man I'm gonna get jealous. " Joked the Nephalem as he drew his own swords, Renegade and D/S as he sensed this was the strange energy he felt before. "If you can throw Dante around like a ragdoll you should be a pretty strong opponent."

The demon didn't respond, it simply raised it's hand in a 'come at me' type motion. Dante was the first to rush in soon followed by Y/n, Dante dashed in with a stinger that was blocked as Y/n jumped and came down with a helmet breaker which was parried. Y/n and Dante continued hacking and slashing at the dark knight, despite the massive size of the sword the demon swung it around easily attacking both hunters. Y/n was hit barely having time to block and Dante was hit getting thrown back through the hole in the wall. Y/n landed inside the fountain quickly scrambling to get out of the cold water. As Dante and Y/n recollected themselves the armored devil hopped on top of the wall telling them to follow. Y/n pulled out Helios and Selene to start pelting it with the hand cannons. The response was dark blue and violet energy being shot at him. Dante pulled out his trusty shotgun, Coyote- A and peppered the devil as they both hopped up and started attacking. Do to the close up shot Dante quickly delivered the demon was pushed back causing Y/n to strike at the opening delivering quick strikes to it's torso. The demonic knight once more jumped up onto the walkway highest in the courtyard, Y/n quickly followed but was shot out of the air by an magic blast, Dante on the other hand did make it up but he was quickly over powered by the Devil knight.

Launching a move similar to stinger the demon hit Dante's sword as he blocked. Dante swung his sword down as he and the demon started a clash. Y/n recovered from the hit and was making his way back up to the fight, noticing how the dark knight seemed to know Dante's fighting style as it was able to block, parry, or even out right dodge his attacks. Dante seeing this as well switches up his style.

Dante begins to get the better of the demon as he knocked the sword from his hands and prepares the finishing blow. The devil knight sees an opening and kicks the sword out of his hand. The dark knight then started wailing on Dante with it's fists, before delivering a flying roundhouse to Dante sending him into the wall. Grabbing Dante's neck to hold him down the devil knocked loose the hunters amulet. The Devil knight threw Dante to the ground as it clutched it's head in pain before jumping/teleporting away in a flash of lightning.

"Well that was strange." Dante mutters to himself.

"Tell me about it, speaking of did they seem familiar to you?"

Dante looks over to see Y/n standing there watching the whole thing go down.

"Why didn't you help?"

"It was quite entertaining to watch honestly." Y/n responded causing Dante to curse him but the Nephalem paid it no mind. "We should get moving soon though, my neck still tingles even though there's nothing around. Like the island itself it teeming with demonic energy."

"So let's get this job done. Then we get victory pizza." Dante says as they both sheath their swords and start walking away.

"Don't you always get pizza?"

"Yeah but it always tastes better after a job."

"Well can't argue with that logic."

As the hunters worked their way through the castle they ran into a bunch of lesser demons. Although the trouble they ran into was easily taken out by some hot bullets or cold steel. The most trouble they had was when they had to solve a puzzle but with their combined knowledge and sheer luck they were able to make it through. There were some tougher demons that occasionally reared their ugly heads but nothing that both Y/n couldn't handle, it wasn't until they were on the roof of the castle that they met their next big issue.

"I'm telling you whether or not we can take a lion, I'm saying the chicken would be better because it'd be like infinite food."

"Y/n the lion once a year is easier it's a one and done, besides what you you gonna do with all that chicken eh?"

"Obviously i'll-" but before he could finish a loud boom interrupted them. Looking over they see Phantom who had just leaped off the balcony landing infront of them. "Oh it's you again."

"Recess time is over, boys! Here, there's plenty of room to get real nasty! This time, there's no holding back!" Phantom shouts at the hunters.

"Finally! I was getting tired of playing your childish games!"

"Wait you know him too?"

"Yeah, I'm surprised you know him."

"He's the reason I was covered in soot!"

"DON'T IGNORE ME PESTS!! I WILL SQUASH YOU HERE AND NOW!!" Shouts a furious Phantom.

"Oh yeah well I do agree with you on one thing this will end here." Y/n drew Selene in his left hand now with Helios in his right.

"But you'll be squashed you eight legged fire hazzard." Dante prepared his own sword, Alastor it was called.

Both sides were at a stand still staring each other down, until Phantom struck first lunging at the hunters. Dante lunged forward meeting Phantom's strike with his own plunging Alastor into the opened mouth of Phantom. Y/n however jumped high into the air with the help of air hike, he quickly turned and spun while firing bullets in a perfect circle around the arena all bullets were followed with a summon sword that pulsed (f/c) as they stuck into the glass. Dante pulled out Alastor while kicking Phantom back followed by an upward slash sending the fire demon back. The demon was stumbled back soon met with an astral sword being stabbed into it's face. Y/n jumped off the spider scorpions face with a flip, landing in a crouch before standing while turning he snapped his fingers sending energy through the blades causing them to explode. Phantom now thrashing around from his damaged retina and the explosions caused the glass to shatter and him to fall. The devil spider fell only stopped by the statues lance that pierced through it.

"You... you're not just any ordinary humans... What are you?" Phantom looked up at the two seeing a demonic silhouette of Sparda around Dante and a figure with horns and a halo around Y/n. "No... the legendary Sparda...!? It can't be!"

"You're right - I'm his son, Dante."

"And you what are you-"

"Simply the best of both heaven and hell."

"A Nephalem, impossibleee-..." With that Phantom breathed his last breath the glow dimming from his body.

"Well good to know that that's that and we won't be seeing him EVER AGAIN!" Y/n said giving a slight wink to no one.

"What are you talking about?"

"Nothing." Y/n said smirking as he shook his head slightly. "We should get going through this roof doesn't seem all that stable."

"Agreed." Dante and Y/n then went on their merry way. Using that term loosely as they encountered many many more demons. The more trouble some ones were the ghost like ones that had scissors or scythe. But a shot from Coyote- A and a few hits from Cryoreaper sent them back to hell. Eventually the duo made it to a garden finding two doors Dante chose one which quickly closed behind him and Y/n chose the locked door with one torch.

"Ah shizzle sticks!" Y/n punched the door. "Of course I pick the one that it locked!" Y/n went over to one of the gardens many benches and sat down. "Baahh now I gotta wait for something to happen or for Dante to be done.... Gaaaahhh!"

Y/n started dozing off on the bench, thinking back to the black Devil knight. 'Why did their energy feel familiar? How did they know our fighting style? Why did it react to Dante's amulet?' Y/n thought about this until he was shaken from his thoughts by thunder as he shot open his eyes, he rolled out of the way just as a large scaly tail slammed down crushing the bench. Landing in a crouch Y/n looked up at the large purple snake with ruby red eyes and a milky white underbelly. It's mouth lines with fangs. It's head was about the size of Y/n's torso with a body as thick as your average evergreen tree.

"Greetings, it appears that you are the Devil hunter that has been causing trouble. " The snake spoke.

"Oh wow a talking snake first a spider now this? What's next a bird!" Y/n joked as lightning flashed. "That's weird there's not a cloud in the sky."

"It appears my associate it already battling your companion. Here is where I shall test your mettle." Spoke the snake in a deep voice. "My name is Dokuhebi now prepare yourself!"

"I'd say you were pretty honorable but you did attack me when I was dozing off." Y/n drew his sword. Agni and Ruda also threw their two sense in as sparks flew from Agni as it glowed red, while Ruda caused the wind to pick up while glowing blue. "seems like even they're ready to rumble!"

"The brothers always were ones for battle."

In the blink of an eye Y/n launched forward using Ruda before slamming down where Dokuhebi was with Agni. When the boot hit the ground it caused a explosion sending the rest of the bench scattering while a small crater was formed, pivoting on his right foot the hunter was quickly able to dodge the snakes counter attack. Thinking fast Y/n quickly thrust out his left hand slamming it into the snakes neck right behind it's head. The strike wasn't much but it was just enough that it threw off Dokuhebi, causing the purple snake to tumble. Y/n quickly jumped forward into a helm breaker pulling the lever on Renegade and aiming at the snakes body, but like all living creatures Dokuhebi enjoyed being in one piece.

Dokuhebi moved out of the way just in time to avoid the blunt of the blow but still has a cut across its side. Dokuhebi didn't let the hunter go unscathed as he slammed his tail into the hunter sending him flying. The Nephalem corrected himself as he summoned Cryoreaper threw the chained end so it wrapped around Dokuhebi and pulled, causing a direction change for both to meet in the middle with Y/n booting the serpent in the face. Dokuhebi reared it's head back allowing Y/n to roundhouse kick him. The purple snake started shaking around trying to get the devil hunter off, it took a minute but he was overall successful. Y/n landed before quickly rolling to the right, looking at where he just was there was now a steaming hole. Turns out this snake can shoot venom, that could eat through stone.

Unholstering Helios and Selene, Y/n started firing at the Venom spewing serpent as he ran around it dodging the snakes attacks. Y/n stopped shooting, instead focused on gathering his energy into both guns. Soon the guns were crackling with f/c energy. After ducking and rolling he took aim and fired, as he shot 12 summon swords appeared and followed the bullets as the thunderous cracks rang out. Holstering his guns Y/n quickly drew Renegade placing the blade at his side before quickly executing an Executioner slash as the astral blades exploded. However Dokuhebi wasn't about to go down just like that, so he willed himself up being surrounded by a maroon and purple aura.

"I gotta give it to ya, you are one tough cookie." Y/n states as he to is surrounded in an aura. "Too bad your just a puppet for some cranky old demon who can't come down here himself because he's grown lazy with power."

"Watch your tongue! I am no puppet, I am a trusted soldier to the Demon King!"

"Oh really?" Y/n said taking note on how the plants around them started to wither and die. "Last I checked if you were truly a trusted and valued solider why would he not care at all about you? I bet he's never even said your name."

Dokuhebi was taken back by this.

"Even if your words are true, I still shall kill you for myself!"

"Bring is on death breath!" Both charged at each other dodging each other's strikes at a blinding speed. Y/n's sword was lodged in a wall and Cryoreaper was still wrapped around Dokuhebi. So it came down to a sheer test of strength using his unorthodox fighting style of strange movements with a base of Tang Soo Do. Strange as it was it was effective landing a few blows while dodging others. Even if their strength and speed were on par the serpent had flexibility on its side so in one microscopic mistake for either would could mean the end. It was Y/n who made such a mistake, he went for an opening that was so obvious if it was a snake it would bite him. Too bad for him it was a snake, a very very venomous deadly snake. Y/n learned this that hard way as Dokuhebi sunk it's fangs into his shoulder releasing the potent venom stored within. The Devil hunter wreathed in agony as the snakes venom was tearing him apart from the inside. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"
