Arthit ran along the edge of the river flowing through their territory, the moon guiding Saeng's path. They were staying close to water, so their scents could be easily washed off if need be.

As Saeng took off, Trees whizzed past him, everything around him blended in to blur of vivid colours. Kong whooped in appreciation.

Saeng's chest puffed with pride as Kong made noises full of happiness and excitement. They ran along the small Riverfall, the sweet breeze caressing their bodies, carding through their hairs.

Seeing a small clearing Saeng halted and shook his body a little.
Kong took the signal and jumped down, after arranging his clothes and backpack, he stood beside Saeng.

Saeng kneeled at the moon, Kong at his side as the full moon with a blue halo smiled at them. He instructed Kong to kneel with one paw. They both kneeled and paid their respects to the moon goddess.

Saeng opened his mouth to howl but Kong smacked him soundly. " No howling " he chided.
Saeng rubbed his face at Kong's stomach in pleading.
"No, not even once."

Saeng hung his head, defeated.
" Someone can hear us na" Kong soothed him, scratching behind his ears.

Then, Saeng suddenly chirped in excitement and nudged Kong again.

" What? " Kong asked.
Saeng simply walked ahead. Grumbling, Kong followed him.

" Where are you taking me ? " He asked.

" Surprise." The wolf replied in his head, Kong felt a sharp stabbing pain in his head. " Don't mindlink" he gritted his teeth " i dunno why but it is feeling like my head wpuld split"

Nodding in understanding, wolf kept leading him to the place he wanted Kong to visit.

" It's nowhere near to the track right? "

Saeng shook his head.

They walked through moss covered roads, hidden by the thick veils of vines on both sides of the roads. Hundreds of different kinds of flowers bloomed on both sides of the untrodden tract, looking like vibrant dots of pink, red, yellow and Violets upon different shades of green.

" Oh my god...saeng..look what I found? " Kong whisper yelled , bouncing on his tiptoe. He plucked the delicate 'moonlight' flower from It's stem. The white flower tinkered like a bell as it swayed with air.

" Isn't it moonlight flower? " Kong asked, the wolf nodded. " Oh my god! " Kong almost teared and hugged Saeng's neck.
" You are best wolf ever " he pecked Saeng's fur. The air filled with jingling of moonflower and Kong ran to them in glee, plucking as many as his tiny hands allowed.

Saeng grabbed the hem of Kongpob's shirt in his teeth and tried to pull Kong to the left.

" Let me get a bunch of them na...do you know how rare they are? Only healer has got the regular supply. They are main base ingredient in most of poison antidotes. "

Saeng again pulled at Kongpob's shirt " It will tear saeng ..." Kong grumbled " Why didn't you tell me about this place before? I would have bought a bigger bag."

Saeng pulled again, Kong turned reluctantly " Wait a bit na Saeng- " Kongpob's eyes widened seeing the lilac flowers infront of him..." Oh my god! Wolfsbane! " Kong ran to the patch ahead of him. Saeng barked in warning...
" Yeah...yeah...i know" Kong raised both his hands in surrender " I won't touch it barehanded."

He tore a nightshade leaf and wrapped on his hand before plucking the wolfsbane stalks.

" I dunno whether to hug you or scold you" Kong sighed after sacking a bunch of flowers in his backpack. " Why didn't you tell me , you know such amazing place? "

Saeng wagged his tail and yipped.
"Yeah...yeah...I know you are amazing" Saeng's eyes twinkled, he made a short jog, Kong sat on the ground, over thick blanket of grass, watching Saeng chase his tail.

" It's so beautiful..." Kong sighed looking at the moonlight filtering through tall canopy of trees.

Saeng bounded to him hearing this. He puffed his chest while wagging his tail joyfully, rubbing his neck at Kongpob's hands. Kong chuckled and gave him appreciation scratch..

" Always want scratches... I dunno know if you are wolf or dog..." Saeng looked at Arthit with open jaw in indignation before his wagging tail dropped and he jogged straight ahead..

" Seriously! " Kong scoffed amazed. " I was joking."

Saeng didn't stop.

" I was joking Saeng! "

.....no reaction.....

" You are even more high maintenence than your human side. Where are you going? " Kong scoffed.

Saeng just increased his pace . His tail straight in air.

" Saeng ..stop " Kong whisper shouted, running behind him.

After two or three minutes , Saeng stopped. Kong halted just four paces behind the wolf. His lungs burning, air at this moment felt a precious luxury.

He bent, heaving, palms clutching his knees while he took a breather. His ears picked Saeng's paw steps , walking ahead.

" Stop. Or ..You are so dead, once you change back." Kong threatened. Saeng stopped.

" Honestly... did you forget , I am not as strong as you or as fast as you? "
After a few deep inhales when his lung didn't burn amymore, Kong looked up " Oh my god..." His eyes bulged in amazement. " Where are we? "

They were near some kind of caves... a thin stream flowed nearby, lush green carpet of grass covered the earth. Infront of him stood a humongous, full sized white marbled statue of a man as beautiful as the full moon shining above them.

Hypnotised, Kong walked ahead, reverantly gazing at the statue. Who had left something so beautiful in middle of nowhere! His fingers itched to touch the remarkable piece of work. He did try to touch it, but Saeng's low growl made him pull his hand back .

Saeng pointed at the wreaths lying at the feet of the statue. The different weaves of nightshade, belladona and wolfsbane.

Saeng lifted a wreath amd placed it near the statue's feet.
Saeng prodded Kong to do same but
Kong was busy staring at the marvelous creation. His jaws slack.

The same wreath was delicately carved with belladona, nightshade and wolfsbane flowers along with moonlight leaves weaved in lotus stem, rested atop his head full of curly locks.

His Kind and observant eyes were alight with fierce determination, as he was protecting his children.
Few unruly ringlets of hair kissed his cheeks. His canines were out, but he looked poised, graceful, neither angry nor anxious but in extreme confidence of his victory.

" Beautiful" Kong exclaimed, eyes gliding down the sun pendant resting just below his collarbone. His hands held a basket full of herbs and another hand held a beautifully carved silver dagger, fully unsheathed and gleaming under sunlight.

His stone carved clothes hugged his muscles as if its blown back by a strong gust of wind. A thin horizontal scar, running across his Adam's apple, marred the otherwise smooth column of his neck.

" What is this place? " Is it the moon blessed? " Kong wondered looking at the sun pendant and the wreath on the moon blessed's head. But what made him mesmerised was the blue rubies adorning the statue's eyes. He had never seen such extraordinary eye colour on a wolf. They usually are dark when showing extreme emotions or flash red in case of Arthit and some other immensely powerful alphas.

" Indeed kid. " A kind voice reflected the maturity of the person, Kong jumped in to protective mode seeing a young, beautiful man, walking out of a cave from a row of several caves infront of them. " This is our moon blessed " The man spoke reverently looking at the statue. " Our eternal guardian and guide. "

" Who are you? " Kong asked, one hand already placed at the hilt of his concealed dagger.

" I'm Chief of the selene tribe, Omega Achi..." The man drawled. " No need to draw weapons. If Khun Arak has brought you here... we deem you safe. "

" Khun Arak! " Kong's head whipped at the traitor wolf standing behind him " You said I'm your only charge. You liar! "

" Khun Arak has to look over all of us wolves, it's his divine duty... how can you be his only charge ? " The man asked, confused.

Kong didn't pay the man any heed.
" Is he your charge ? " seeing Saeng hesitating, Kong narrowed his eyes " Only truth."

Saeng nodded.

Kong clenched his teeth as if Saeng has physically stabbed him " You are so dead! "

" Calm down, I know you felt special and suddenly knowing this, it was a big blow to handle- " Kong tuned Achi's rant out.

What will you say when your own friend has came out to be a traitor?
" Had fun protecting every wolf you find you traitor?" Kong seethed, twisting Saeng's ear as hard as he could. " , let me see who will protect you from me!" Saeng howled in pain but didn't lash out.

Achi immediately ran to the helpless wolf's aid, he pulled Kong's hands twisting Arthit's ear back and pushed the seething boy away while physically putting himself between Kong and Arthit.

" Stay out of this. " Kong growled.

Saeng too growled lowly, but Achi mistook it as anger directed at Kong. "You cannot harm khun Arak. "

" Ofcourse not! I am just going to twist his lying tongue back in his throat. " Kong seethed , eyes flashing blue.

" Why are you so angry? " Achi asked. " Is he your mate? "

" Is he yours? " Kong glared.

" No..."

" Then stay out. "

" Why am I angry he asks ...." Kong scoffed. He stared at Saeng and mimicked Arthit's voice "Why don't you marry me when we grow up? I will never lie to you... I will never cheat you... you are only my omega... my charge... my best friend... " Kongpob stomped his foot " my foot...Don't you dare show me your liar face once i kick you back to the house safely, cheater alpha. "

Saeng wanted to laugh. Mistakenly, but Kong was so disappointed in him, was Raging like a volcano, still wanted to see him to safety.. ... no one can do this other than his moon blessed.

" You can not harm Khun Arak...kid. I will have to subdue you, if you keep acting against him..."

" This pillar of sticks and three hours of hair curling... you like such beautiful, well spoken omega... that is why you betrayed me ? "

" He doesn't like me...." Achi interjected.

" Oh..yeah! " Kong sneered " Then he will not react if I teach you simple manners to not talk between two friends- " Kong bit his lip " former friends..."

Saeng knew what was coming he has seen it before, in a passage of seconds, before Kong could strike his deadly blow, he stood before Achi as a protector, ready to take the kick Kong had let loose.

He closed his eyes but the crushing pain never came. Instead, he opened his eyes to tearful Kong. " Doesn't looks dislike to Me..." Kong whispered, staggering back as if Arthit had physically stabbed him.

The human child in moonblessed didn't understand the concept of duty or destiny. Didn't know that they were bound to their destinies and duties. That he was chosen to be the protector and moon blessed the guide. That if their position reversed, Kong will be the one standing before Arthit to protect the innocent omega.

" You are misunderstanding- " the omega Achi tried.

Kong's head whipped to look at the beautiful nuisance " Shut up you ... side kick! "

Kong stomped off, Saeng instantly was on his heels.

" Don't you follow me alpha..." Kong spat. " I am going to cool my head off. You remain hidden in these caves with Achi. No one who doesn't already know you, should know your real self. If you endager yourself, you won't find me alive ..."

Saeng took a step ahead to cajole his distraught mate.

"Not a step ahead...go back...if you don't listen to me... you will regret it. "

Saeng shuddered.... his paws stayed glued to the ground, useless like a dead weight

A voice from centuries ago echoed in his mind. " You must stay hidden my Prince, if a single hair on your head will be harmed, I will slit my throat with my own hands."

Saeng had once done the mistake of taking his beloved's words lightly since it was spoken just after a petty fight out of jealousy.
