Somewhere in the Kingdom *

Alpha vex sat upon the throne, made up of bones of the enemies, the traitors who had robbed them of their name, birth right, their legend , their rightful place in the world. Skulls of two most promised heirs laid under his hand, serving as arm rest.

Time has come, he gets a foot rest too. Prince Guss would serve just fine.

He would have to wait for the foot rest for his other leg though. Just few more months, he will be at his rightful place, on the throne of his forefathers.
His train of thought was derailed by incoming footsteps.

" My King..." His beloved brother knelt, like the world should do.

"Rise. What news do you have for me brother? "

Killian smiled "The map has reached prince's hand , alpha. The prince has formed a rag tag band of investigators to probe the motives of selene tribe. "

" I believe you are at the head of it ? "

" Unfortunately, that is not the case sire. The traitor ( Guss) has chosen the tainted
( Sean ) for the title, brother."

Vex was down in an instant, his hand at Killian's collar

" I have given you one task ...one brother -"

" I am still the advisor and the best tracker he has got. I will bring them near selene territory "

Vex cackled " And we will kill the prince and throw him in selene's pack lands"

Killian nodded, his face lacked emotions but eyes lighted like Christmas bulbs. " King will think Selene Killed the prince and wage a war upon them... "

" Two wolf's in one strike ..."

" Go fulfill our life mission, Bring glory to Rojanapat name. Victory will be ours brother "

" Victory Will be ours. "

Saen was doing his last briefings in prince's room before they get called upon by the alpha.

" Gathering is starting soon. At all times, prince must be protected. No one is to leave his side. Pok " he looked at the lanky alpha " you will guard prince from left, i from right. Mop will guard the back and killian, you will be in charge of guarding the front and keeping track of the path. "

Every one nodded.

" Under no circumstances will we deviate from the King's designated path, no matter the situation or reason."

" The selene tribe- " Killian was instantly cut short " Another day" Saen said. " Heir's safety is first priority. Neutralise every threat in the path. Prince will have his kin today, don't let your guards around them until they take blood oaths."

" Everyone understand the plan? " Saen asked. All nodded. Killian reluctantly dipped his head in agreement.
" Gathering will start soon...come on."

They dispersed. Looking like a group of merrily chatting teens, while their eyes searched around, trying to pinpoint the threat in ground full of people milling about.

They assembled in their pack ground. Under the full moon. The bluish moon shined upon them, air around them crackled with excitement .

The alpha transformed first and howled, making all the adults transform and join the haul. Goosebumps rose upon Arthit's skin. He longingly looked at the echoing howls of new changlings. His brother beong one among them.

When will he be able to join his pack and run like that? Kong was there to hold his hand, he whispered " Soon" as if Kong had already read his mind. He even held his hand tighter.

" Whoa! " Arthit whooped seeing Guss change in to massive black wolf. His front leg bent suddenly and he almost fell down but balanced instantly. " He's so huge." Arthit gushed, proud of his brother.

" Yeah, his head is so empty, all the mass went to his body" Kong grumbled.

" You never say anything nice about phi" Arthit complained, frowning.

Guss's wolf narrowed his eyes at Kong and Kong stared back at him smirking.

" I can be nice.
He is very fine specimen of stupidity ." Kong replied with a straight face. " I think he will look very handsome in the bathroom, because the way he is staring at me, I'm definitely going to spike his breakfast "

"Sometimes it feels like You both are enemy from past life or something. You should refrain from making comments on phi now... he is crown heir. Second most powerful wolf after alpha, if he hears you, it will land you in trouble - "

Kong looked at Arthit innocently " You said you will protect me- "

" Ofcourse. " Arthit already slid infront of Kong, hiding him behind himself " If it happens, I will take the punishment."

"I will never land you in trouble Thit. Besides, Even if he listens, Your brother can't punish me, I don't have a wolf yet. Let me have fun till he can't spoil it"

" Angering him isn't good. Why don't you refrain from mocking him-"

" He calls me twig arm! "

" Your arms are kind of thin- "

" Go away.... don't talk to me."

" Listen to me first na Ai Kong... your arm may be thin as twig but they are strong as iron. Pillar of cotton is better than stick of iron. Isn't it? "

" you too think i am twig arm? " someone snickered nearby , Kong glared at Arthit "Don't talk to me..."

Arthit instantly hugged Kong " Don't be angry na...let me give you happiness hug"

"I hate you and your happiness hug "

" I love you infinity."

" Shut up..."

" Stop being angry na... look phi Mop turned too, his wolf is just as blacka but little bit small than phi. Do you think phi will make him his second in command ? "

" Phi Saen will be good choice... look how beautiful he is ! " Kong gushed at the pale ashy fur of the alpha.

" Aren't you liking him too much ? " Arthit frowned, instantly covering Kong's eyes with his palms.

" Arthit Rojanapat" Kong hissed. But Arthit didn't budge.

Kong kicked Arthit's shin which made him release Kong. " Phi Saen is beautiful and strong. "

Arthit made a face " My phi is powerful and handsome."

" You are 10 times better. "

" Really? " Arthit bloomed. " More than phi Saen ? "

"....!..."

" it means You just said that to roast phi Guss... " Arthit pouted, ready to stomped out the pack grounds.

" Yours is most powerful, beautiful and handsome wolf I have ever seen..." Kong whispered.

Arthit grinned. " Thank you. It means you don't want to look at them.." Arthit covered his eyes again.

"..!.."

" I think your will to live has depleted Arthit Rojanapat" Kong raged.

" It means You like Phi Saen's wolf more." Arthit whined. Kong could listen him pouting. His puppy ears drooping, while his big eyes stared at him pitifully.

He sighed.

" You said Saeng (Arthit's wolf) is most beautiful, why do you want to see someone else? "

" Saeng doesn't like to be called beautiful"

" Now, he does. "

" .....!..."

Before Kong could reply, their focus got pulled to growling of Guss's wolf and whining of a Ashy wolf with gray pelt.

Mate!
Guss looked horrified at the ashy grey wolf. His wolf tipping one single word. Mate . Mate.

He tore his eyes away. No.... Saen can't be his mate. He is an alpha. How could he get an alpha mate! This must be a bloody joke!

Seeing Saen take a step towards him, he stepped back but the stubborn wolf didn't back down. Now, Saen will try to scent him infront of whole pack. He will become a subject of mockery.

A strategist dominating a crown heir! Where can he show face if he let's that happen?

Guss snarled, his canines visible.

Ash whined. Yeah, his stupid wolf had named Saen's wolf. Ash, after his beautiful ashy fur.

His heart broke hearing the whine. His wolf snarled at his human conscious but he held his ground. He was strong, powerful and independent alpha. He can do this for his pack.

His Kingdom deserves a strong, iron hand ruler.

Gruss growled, holding his offensive ground until Ash bared his neck.

" Enough, " King's voice bellowed in his mind. " Get your act under control."

" Alpha Gunavdit Rojanapat " a clear voice stated " we pledge our life and service to you."

His Kin was here.

Everything else happened in a blur.

They took oath to protect their pack and pledged their alliance to the King.

The kins- First, So , Niel, Ben and Bon tool their blood oaths binding themselves to him.
Guss secretly wondered would they kill him if they knew how weak he was?
Kins were known for their Supreme loyalty to the ruler and wolfkind. They were as much check on him as balance. If they deem him tyrant or weak and unfit to lead, they will get rid of him and kill themselves.

Guss didn't have much time to think, as soon as the howl of alpha came, they were running as a pack.

His first run.
His first shift.
His first appearance .
Everything was ruined.
Who knew the day he dreamt of, would turn out to be his nightmare!

Arthit and Kongpob sneaked in to library since one of its windows directly opened in to woods,and it was near to the creek area they had marked for Arthit's first run. It wasn't too close for the pack to smell them, nor too far if they needed any help.

They waited for ten minutes after the howl of alpha, that signaled start of pack run.

" Okay, Change" Kongpob signaled Arthit who swiftly transformed in to his golden wolf.

Kong jumped out the window first, Arthit's clothes safely tucked in the bag on his back.
Saeng (Arthit's wolf ) jumped on silent foot, he nudged Kongpob's calf.
" What? " Kong whisper yelled.
Saeng nudged again and looked back, pointing at his back.

" Sit on your back? " Kong asked.

Saeng nodded. Since Changing in his canine form, he is feeling as moon goddess was talking to him, nudging him in a direction. His soul strongly felt like following his intuition.

" You want to run with me on your back? "

Saeng nodded again.
Kongpob sat on his back. " You are first alpha to want to have an omega wolf riding on him."

Saeng snorted. He could reply to that but he didn't want to ruin the innocence of his human side.

Although they were centuries old, their humans were still kids. Kids that need to grow, find new ways, make mistakes , learn from them. Learn to grow, live and love.

He couldn't wait for his human to grow and turn in to wolf. He couldn't wait to see his soulmate in all his ethereal glory!

Guss ran mindlessly. His band and newly oathed Kin barely able to keep with him.
The scent of Saen insistent to his right only proved to furiate him more.

" Slow down." Saen bellowed in his mind " It's getting hard to keep up with you."

" It's because you are weak." Guss spat back.

" Really? You weren't saying that yesterday..." Saen retorted.

That was just a kiss. One single moment where he let Saen overpower him, take the lead , he liked it. And he was stupid enough to accept the fact out loud.

Guss halted and growled at Saen, snapping his jaws.
How could moon goddess be this unmerciful? Doing such despicable and outrageous thing!
How could he have an alpha for a mate?
He doesn't need a protector! He is not weak.
He needs a beautiful omega to take care of, to spoil, to cherish and protect!
Why did moon goddess decided to make him subject of mockery for whole nation?
Between them, both strong headed alphas- who will be the omega? Who will be submissive? Alpha wolves were known to be violent, who will be binding glue to their pack?

" Tone down..." Saen suggested, you are raging. Its affecting your kin. They are getting aggressive. We can sort out mate-"

" Shut up...get out of my mind..."

" Alpha, I smell Arthit " Killian informed them over mind link. Giving him most needed distraction.
" Where ? " He asked " Follow the trail. Make sure patrols don't catch us "

" he is back home. " Saen argued. " We checked with our own eyes."

" Scent is getting stronger towards east ..." Killian interrupted.

" follow the scent. " Guss ordered.

" It can be a trap. Keep going" Saen countered. His kin hummed in agreement.

" Who doesn't want to follow me can leave. I am going after my brother"

Killian was quick to follow him.

After half a minute of following, they found a piece of Arthit's shirt that he wore tonight. Strangely there wasn't any scent of Kongpob , his gut clenched. There was something wrong.
Kongpob is like a bloody tick, a dog with bone. He is never apart from Arthit.
Did they kill Kongpob before taking Arthit? The tiny omega may look like an innocent hamster but he was definitely a fox and tiger combined.
If Kongpob's scent isn't entwined, simply meant
1. Either Kongpob is dead and his brother have few breaths remaining.
2. Kongpob betrayed them and his brother still had only few breaths remaining .
