-Jaden's POV-

My family was in the mall while I stayed at home alone because I didn't feel like going out.

The bell was ringing rapidly and I quickly ran downstairs to see what was going on. I opened the door and there was Y/n standing.

She was breathing heavily so I guess she ran here and her eyes were full of sadness and worry.

"Y/n what's wrong?" I asked and she broke down crying, immediately I pulled her into my embrace and whispered in her ear "it's okay I'm here now"

Y/n was crying so much and I knew she wouldn't be able to tell me what happened so I did the only thing that I could right now.

I picked her up wrapping her legs around me and closed the door and took her upstairs to my room where I tried my best to comfort her.

After an hour or so she calmed down and they asked her again "what's wrong?" "My family" she said "which one?" "Both of them are fighting"

"What why? What happened?" I could see tears filling her eyes again and quickly wiped the ones that fell. "hey no don't cry please don't cry Y/n"

"I won't" she sighed wiping her eyes "look if it's still too emotional for you you could tell me another time" I said and she shook her head "no it's okay"

"So basically, we were having dinner together and the Y/l/n's were saying that they wanted to take me on a birthday week trip but my mom- the young's didn't like the idea since we always celebrated my birthday here with all of us together. The Y/l/n didn't quite take it well, and neither did the Young's and so they started an argument, and the next thing I knew they were fighting about who's going to take custody of me"

"Oh" I was surprised to hear that "yea and everyone was saying how when they're going to win my custody, they're not gonna let me see the others"

"I don't want to lose my family Jaden" she teared up again and this time I didn't stop her because I knew she was really upset and scared and I don't know how to say this exactly what's crying might help a little.

"Don't worry Y/n/n I'm sure that won't happen" "how would you know? both were very serious about it and even talked about lawyers"

"What if the Y/l/n's won and took me away from all of this, all of you, I won't be able to see the young's again and they are my family Jaden"

"If the young's won my custody I won't be able to see the Y/l/n and I don't want that because I got really attached to them too. Even though I haven't spent that much time with them but I just did. I can't just forget about them, they're my family too"

"I don't want to lose anyone, even you I don't want to lose you Jaden, I can't lose you because if I did I might die"

"Y/n you won't lose anyone" I said "you don't know that" "yes I do because I know that both families love you very much and couldn't do such a horrible thing to their daughter"

"I know that you're really upset and scared right now, but I'm here to tell you that you'll never be separated from anyone" "but-" "no I don't wanna hear it"

"Let's do something to take your mind off of what just happened, do you wanna cuddle? watch a movie? read a book?"

"Cuddling sounds nice" she said "want to watch Harry Potter?" I suggested that you nodded so I took out my laptop and got to bed.

Y/n snuggled closer to me and rested her head on my chest. Y/n placed one hand on on chest and I placed an arm around her, pulling her closer to me.

Halfway through the movie Y/n said "did you know that harry was supposed to have tan skin and green eyes" I know she was right but instead said "no way"

"Yes way, it's even written in the books" "nah no way this could be real" Y/n sat up and looked at me "it is! Haven't you read the books?"

I did

I also knew how much Y/n loved telling people the difference between a book and the movie

"Nope I bought the book but never read it" "Jaden how could you?" "What I was never free to read it" I lied.

"we're free now, so you could read it" "I don't know.." "come on it'll be fun" she said "how about you read it for me" I said and she smiled happily "I would love that"

I got up and handed Y/n the first Harry Potter book and got back in bed with her.

She read me the book and pointed out how the book describe harry to have his father's perpetually untidy black hair, his mother's bright green eyes, and a lightning bolt-shaped scar on his forehead.

Which I of course knew, but didn't tell her

She was so happy and excited to show and read it to me.

Y/n loves reading and I secretly do too

What I love more is her reading to me, she's just amazing and has this way with words that makes you really fall in love with her

She and I were talking, and I told her something in the book that we haven't reached it yet that surprised her.

"How did you know that?" "I don't know" I said trying to act cool "you're biting your tongue to stop yourself from talking" she said then gasped "wait! You already read the book"

"No I didn't" "Jaden don't lie to me" she said seriously and I sighed "okay fine I did read the book"

"What why did you lie then?" "Because I wanted you to read the book for me" "why?" "Because you love reading and I don't know you just have this way with words that makes me fall in love with you more than I already am" 

"Fall in love with me?"
