Baekhyun woke up sometime later because he couldn't breathe out of his nose and his throat was as dry as a desert.

He was expecting the time to be like 8 pm not 4 am.

Confused he sat up on his bed and began his quest to find some water, then probably blow his nose.

As he sneaked around the house his stomach decided it wanted to impersonate a whale.

Baekhyun was sure that the whole neighborhood heard it.

"Damn. I'm either hungry or bored." He whispered to himself as he opened a cupboard to grab a glass.

He filled the glass with water and gulped it down fast.

"I want ramen."

He facepalmed. It was too late for any ramen place to be open.

Suddenly he remembered that one place close to where he lived that was open 24/7.

He quietly ran back to his room to grab a jacket and some money then made his way to the front door.

This time he remembered to grab the key.

Without making a sound he opened the door and quickly walked out.

Not forgetting to lock the door after him.

Baekhyun ran down the stone stairs, his shoes squeaking slightly after every step he took.

At the last step, he jumped and landed with a too loud bang for his liking.

Praying that he hadn't woken anyone he walked out of the building and into the cold October night air.

It was even colder now than it was earlier that day.

And it was dark, really dark, the only light sources being some street lights and a few lights that were on outside of some houses.

He passed a creepy alleyway and shuddered.

He was slowly starting to regret going out.

The tons of crime and mystery dramas he had watched didn't help either and now he was fearing for his poor life.

Thankfully the ramen place came into view and he quickened his pace to get into the cozy looking place faster.

Baekhyun pushed soon the door and an old man popped his head out from the kitchen and smiled

"Well if it isn't Baekhyun again." The old man laughed and wiped his hands on his black apron.

Baekhyun smiled back at him "Hello. You know-"

"The usual?"

"Yup!" Baekhyun opened up his jacket and sat down.

What the black haired failed to notice was the blonde boy beside him that somehow looked like a hamster with his cheeks puffed but had eyes similar to a cat staring at him.

So when the hamster/cat boy suddenly poked him he nearly fell off the tall chair.

"Sorry I didn't mean to scare you." the boy said and helped Baekhyun up again.

Baekhyun shook his head "It's okay. "

"You're Baekhyun right?" he asked, "I heard Chulsoon call you that."

Baekhyun nodded.

"I'm Minseok." He stuck out his hand for a handshake and Baekhyun gladly shook it.

Just then Chulsoon came out from the kitchen with a steaming bowl and placed it down in front of Baekhyun.

"Thanks." Baekhyun bowed his head to him.

Chulsoon gave a thumbs up and disappeared back into the kitchen.

"So why are you here so late?" Minseok played with his metal chopsticks as he looked at Baekhyun in the corner of his eye.

"I suddenly wanted some." Baekhyun motioned to the bowl "You?"

Minseok closed his eyes "Starting at a new school in a few hours isn't that fun." He opened them again and stared at the wall in front of him like it was the most interesting thing in the world "I mean, it's kinda hard making new friends."

Baekhyun hummed and then blew on his food before eating it.

The blonde turned his head and smiled "Well it was nice talking to you Baekhyun. I have to leave now so I can get ready." Minseok slid off the chair and walked away.

Baekhyun continued to slurp his noodles while his eyes followed after Minseok's fading figure in the mirror over him.

After sneaking back into the house successfully.

Baekhyun made his way over to his room to change into the uniform and get ready.

He had to walk to Chanyeol and get him to make sure he wasn't going to be late.

Just as his shirt was halfway over his head someone decided to call him and his phone began to vibrate so much on his desk that it fell off.

Baekhyun dived for it and answered it not checking who it was.

"Hello?"

"Baek it's me."

It was Chanyeol.

His heart speeded up at the sound of the other's deep raspy voice morning voice.

But why was he calling at 6 am in the morning? He never woke up that early.

"What's up?" Baekhyun tried to take his pants on with one hand but failed miserably so he gave up.

"Just calling to say that you don't need to walk to my house today."

Baekhyun stopped working for a few seconds.

"Why? I always do that."

"Well I'm walking with Chun-Ja and I don't want you to feel like a third wheel."

Something in Baekhyun bubbled with anger but he pressed it down and took a deep breath "That's okay. I will just wall with Kyungsoo then."

"Okay! Bye Baek!"

The line went silent and Baekhyun frowned.

Chanyeol had chosen his goddamn girlfriend for who knows how long over his best friend from many years.

He grabbed his phone and typed a quick message to Kyungsoo.

I'm walking with you today.

Either you like it or not.

Then he continued to get dressed.

"You don't like Chun-Ja? Why?" Kyungsoo asked him as they crossed the street.

Baekhyun let out a frustrated groan "First of all she already has a boyfriend, second of all she's toying with Chanyeol, third of all she's mocking me and lastly her Hapkido sucks." He made some weird hand gestures, nearly hitting Kyungsoo a few times in the face.

"Okay stop that." Kyungsoo slapped Baekhyun's hands away "And SHE ALREADY HAS A BOYFRIEND!?"

Baekhyun slapped a hand over the shorter's mouth "No need to shout. "

"But you need to tell-"

"I know!" Baekhyun yelled a sad expression on his face "But I don't know how."

The two arrived at the school where they bid goodbye and walled to their classes.

Baekhyun had math the first hour then English.

Or was it biology?

Nope, apparently, he had three hours with math then one hour with biology.

After that, it was finally lunch.

Baekhyun walked inside the cafeteria and looked around for his friends.

"EYY BAEKHYUN MY MAN!" Jongdae waved his hands like a maniac in the air to get his attention.

He did but he also got the whole room that was at least 100+ people in it.

Baekhyun grabbed a tray and walked over to them. He sat down beside Sehun who was busy poking his food with his plastic fork.

"Have any of you seen the new student?" Jongdae asked with his mouth full of food.

Baekhyun, Kyungsoo, Jongin, and Sehun all shook their head.

Suddenly the black haired boy noticed that his tall friend was not sitting at the table with them.

"Where's Chanyeol?"

Sehun pointed at a table full a girls but one tall red-haired boy stood out "He's over there."

Baekhyun rolled his eyes and somehow in the mid-eye roll, he caught the sight of an oddly familiar blonde haired male at a table not so far from where he sat.

A smile formed on his lips he got up and walked over to Minseok "Hey what a surprise."

Minseok snapped his head up and stared at him with shocked eyes "You go here!?"

Baekhyun Nodded "Yup! Welcome to our school." He laughed "But why are sitting here alone?"

Minseok blushed and looked away "Uh I'm kinda too shy to talk with the people in my class."

"But you- nevermind." Baekhyun stopped what he was going to say and grabbed Minseok's hand "I can introduce to my friends back there." He pointed behind him at the table where it looked like none of the four had noticed that he was gone.

Minseok let himself get dragged by the younger to the table that became quiet when they arrived.

Jongdae was the first one to speak "Who's that?"

Baekhyun grabbed Minseok by the shoulders and made him stand in front of him "This is Minseok aka the new student you talked about wanting to meet Jongdae. I have known him for like one hour or so."

Jongin sent Minseok a smile "I'm Jongin and this is my boyfriend Kyungsoo." Jongin hugged Kyungsoo making the slightly older blush.

"I'm Sehun the youngest."

"And I'm uh Jongdae and it's not true I haven't talked about wanting to meet you." Jongdae laughed nervously as he sent Baekhyun a strong glare.

Baekhyun smiled "Just sit down wherever you like." just then Baekhyun remembered about Chanyeol and he frowned "There is actually another one but he ditched us for his girlfriend. "

Minseok made an 'Oh' sound as he sat down beside Jongdae.

"Well anyway don't mind Baekhyun he's just a little bit salty today!" Kyungsoo said "Welcome to our small group of friends Minseok. "

"Thanks!" Minseok had a big smile on his face and he looked truly happy.

"Oh we nearly forgot to tell you, there is two more but they don't go to our school so we usually meet at one of each other's house. You can join us there if you want." Sehun said as he stole an apple piece from Jongdae's food tray.

"I can?"

"Yup!" the five around the table said.
