Beside You

"[Y/N]!" Armin shouted from a distance, you stayed there for hours, training yourself--you were still a newbie after all. You didn't want others to think that you were useless so, you trained your ass off to be worthy of handling the 3D Maneuver gear, you dreamnt of being qualified to join the missions of the Survey Corps, and, well, there's this 'other' reason...

"It's--uh, getting dark. Why're you still out here?" Armij asked kindly, awkwardly scratching the back of his head.
You sighed, forcing yourself to do another push-up then, let yourself drop on the ground.

"C'mon, I heard we were especially plenty on stack today so, we can definitely get seconds..." Armin suggested gingerly while offering you a hand. You took it and stood up, dusting yourself off.

You were exhausted beyond belief, you couldn't explain the sudden gush of relief you felt when the delightful smell of food flooded your nostrils.

You sat with your friends--Mikasa, Eren, Sasha, Connie and Armin. They were the ones who had your back since you joined the recon corps. Although, Mikasa was a bit overbearing, Eren who's always being an impulsive moron and, Sasha was the biggest glutton you've ever known but, nevertheless, they were still your friends.

You were accepted here for a reason. You managed to escape wall Shiganshina on your own, long after the gates were closed, the titans have completely flooded and demolished the whole area. You witnessed the horror of the titans. They wreaked havoc in the area, killing and destroying everything you knew and loved.

You made a promise to yourself, that you'll stay alive and make it through, you wanted to destroy the titans and kill every last one of them. You adored Captain Levi, after all, he was the epitome of justice for mankind. Humanity's Strongest Soldier. 'That' was the other reason why you came here.

Eren waved a hand in front of your face. "Hello? [Y/N], you still there?"

"O-Oh, sorry. I just had something on my mind..." You replied.

Mikasa placed a tray in front of you, some bread, mashed potatoes, and a warm bowl of soup. You quickly gobbled everything and excused yourself to go to the sleeping quarters. You were, after all, tired from the training you've been doing all day.

You arrived and settled yourself on the bed, you didn't have the energy to change your clothes or even wash up so, you flung your clothes across the room and slumped yourself on the bed.

"Huh...? That's funny. I don't remember having a second pillow here. Oh, well."

This pillow was especially hard. You were too tired to care anywayz pulling the pillow into an embrace. You went on with your peaceful slumber, sighing in content.

(Next Morning...)

You woke up and opened one eye, rubbing the other. You yawned and stretched, taking everything in the room in sight. The sunlight behind the curtains, the lampshade, the bedside table, a man sleeping beside you.

Wait, what?

Both of your eyes popped open as you clung onto your sheets for your dear life.

For goodness' sake, you weren't wearing any clothes at all!

Your gaze landed on the sleeping man. Blushing at the obvious lack of a shirt. A blanket partially covered his face. You carefully flung the blanket to the side.

You felt heat crawl down your spine as your eyes widen. "C-C-C-Captain Levi?!"

The man whom you've just heard of and seemed in a distance was right in front of you, in the flesh. He was quite handsome, you shook your head of the idea. A permanent frown was etched on his face, even in his sleep. Still, he looked peaceful. He quietlt snored.

You flinched when you were suddenly pulled into a closer hug by the man you've been looking up to and admired all your life! You acknowledged every inch of his face, taking advantage of the situation, you smelled his hair ans his scent of fresh strawberries, cigarettes, and cologne. You whiffed a suspicious smell of alcohol.

You thought he was hot when you'd usually see him far away from the crowd on a horse but, closer, you admitted, he was hotter--hotter than the blood of a titan dripping onto your skin.

He groaned deeply, which made you blush a deepee hue of red. It downed upon you that he was slowly waking up. He sat up and settled on top of you, resting his elbows on either side of your head.

You squirmed in embarrassment, "C-Captain..." you clutched your blanket, trying to cover your body. He groaned again before running his hand through his hair, he opened his eyes.

This was unbearable for you. He intently stared at you, confusion written all over his face.

"C-Captain Levi...?" you called out to him again.

"Cadet...?" he quietly said in a husky morning voice.

You were flustered, you can't even take it anymore. You never ceased from blushing.

"I suppose I've had too much alcohol last night." he mumbled under his breath, burying his face in your neck. You felt his hot breath send shivers and tingles down your spine.

"Cadet, did we have sex?" he mumbled against your neck straightforwardly.

"U-Um, I don't really r-remember...anything.." you stammered.

Wait, all you could remember was slumping down your bed after a hard day's training. You don't even recall such an encounter.

His eyes popped but you were too shocked to notice the surprised look marked on his face. He pulled his face away from your neck. "Was I...rough last night?" he asked, his voice sounding concerned as he went back in, sending chills down to your spine as he breathed deeper than before.

"I-I told you, s-sir, I don't remember!" you replied, trying to sound casual, polite and a discrete anger in the tone of your voice.

He sighs. "I... I'll get to the bottom of thi--" he stopped mid-sentence when he fell on the floor with a loud 'thud'.

You gripped onto the sheets of your bed then, looked over to see your corporal standing up as he continued to groan, trying to hold his head up high like he normally does.

"Tch." you shivered when he returned to his normal self--who'd scowl at everybody and click his tongue whenever and wherever he was. "Damn it..." you heard him mutter under his breath.

Just when he was about to reach for the door know, you couldn't help but worry at what he was aftually holding.

"Cadet, since when have you had your bedroom door hanged so low?" he asked as he was trying to turn the knob of your bedside table.

You wrapped the bedsheet around you to cover your body then ran over to him to lead him to the actual door. He clicked his tongue again, making you let go of his shoulders. "This is very unlike me." he admitted as he turned the knob.

When you were about to close the door, the corporal fell on his knees, down to the floor, slamming his forehead against the wall. As his head slid to the floor, you held your mouth to prevent yourself from screaming in surprise. "C-Captain!" you called.

You looked to both sides of your shoulders to check whether anyone was looking and when you knew the coast was clear, you grabbed your captain by his shoulder, hanging it around your neck then, gently dropped his body on your bed. You placed both of your arms on your hips and sighed. "I wonder what got the captain so tired of?" you ask yourself.

But, seeing as your question won't be answered for any time now, you swiftly moved and wore new clothes suited for your training for the day. After that, you stared at the captain, wondering what to do with him.

But, then again, you wanted to stay with him like this for even just a bit more time. After all, this was your first time to see him up close, let alone slept with him on your bed.

Wait a minute.

You stopped thinking about your own desires by shaking your head. "If anyone sees the captain sleeping here, everyone will think weirdly of me!" you mustered up the strength to sling his arm around your neck and started walking towards his quarters so, everyone wouldn't be suspicious of you.

You kicked his door open, even though you knew how much he hated someone for doing that to his door, you did it anyway and gently laid him on his bed, tucking him in. After that, you closed the curtains, went to the door, taking a small peek at him while he's still near you. When you were finally contented, you sighed, closed the door and leaned your back against it, sliding down to your feet.

You wished you had longer time to spend with the captain but, unfortunately, you knew that Petra was the one in charge of taking care of the man you loved.

You rested your chin on the palm of your hand, letting your free hand play with your soup. You sighed in despair as your stared at your reflection on the food.

"Are you going to eat that?"

Your deep thoughts were interrupted by Sasha when she was pointing at your food, her spoon at the ready for her eating.

You shake your head, sliding the bowl over to her side. "You can have that. I'm not in the mood to eat."

You heard her yelp with excitement as she started gobbling every single drop of the soup then belched with satisfaction. "Thanks, [Y/N]!" a week had passed since the incident and you wondered to yourself, 'did it mean anything to the corporal at all'?

Just then, your nose caught a familiar scent of strawberries and cigarettes pass by. When you looked up, you saw the captain with Petra tailing behind him. Hearing Petra scold the corporal made you less confident in getting a chance to go near him--to talk about what happened last week.

"Cadet [L/N]," you snapped out of your imagination when you heard Hanji's voice call you. "The corporal would like to see you in his office right now."

You quickly took a deep breath, standing up from your seat, gaining comments from your friends.

"Ooohhh, what did you do, [F/N]?" Jean asked, curving up his lips into a smirk.

"Goodluck, [F/N]." Mikasa said, patting you by your shoulder.

"[F/N]," you turned to face Armin who raised a fist above his chest. "You can do it."

You nodded awkwardly at their response. You didn't even know why you were being called in the first place and the remarks of your friends made you even more nervous.

You made your way through the hallway and ended up stopping in front of the door of the corporal's office. Your heart raced when you touched the door knob and turned to open it, revealing the corporal waiting by the door, too.

You backed away then placed your right closed fist hand on the left side of your chest and greeted with your eyes tightly closed. "[F/N] [L/N], reporting for duty, sir Levi, sir."

Unexpectedly, you were immediately pulled out of the hallway and into his office, closing the door behind you. He ended up letting your back lean against the door. You had your eyes widened the whole time, your eyes resting on his chest.

You whiffed his scent by his cravat. It was the same as he smelled like last week. Slowly, he backs away, fixing his outfit then gestured you to follow him to his desk.

Obediently, you followed and stood in front of his desk with his back facing you. "Tell me clearly what happened last week, cadet." he ordered.

You bit your lower lip, your ears reddening again, remembering that scene.

"I-I don't really know what happened that day, Captain, I-I really am so-sorry, I--"

You said no more when the captain cut you off by telling his side of the story. "Actually, I think it was partially my fault for I was drunk that night and... maybe I didn't remember the part where I walked half asleep..." when he turned to face you, you felt your face redden, making you look away from the captain.

He squinted his eyes on you, started slowly circling around you. "It is true. I was drunk that night. All I could ever remember was drinking with Hanji and found myself in your bed. Now, tell me honestly, cadet. What did you do that night?"

His stare turned into a passionate gaze. You couldn't make yourself meet his eyes. “I-I don't really remember, c-captain...”

He closed his eyes, turning his back on you. “I see.” he sighs, caressing his cravat. “There's no point in discussing this issue, then. You may go.”

You grasped onto your chest, gulping down your fear and then, decided to tell him with your eyes tightly shut closed. “C-Captain!”

The corporal turned to peek at you, waiti ng for your sentence. “I... I only remembered being tired that night, carelessly taking my clothes off and decided to sleep without wearing any clothes at all. I apologize for the inconvenience, lance corporal!” you bowed your head with all your might plus trying to hide the embarrassment marked on your face as you did.

A long silence enveloped the air you two were in. A suprising laugh broke the silence, making you look up and see the lance corporal punching the table as he kept snickering on his own. He looked really creepy since you haven't seen the captain smile before. This was the first time.

“Uh, c-captain...? May I ask what made you laugh in my statement?” you mentally kept trying to keep it all together to not lose focus and laugh along because you still didn't know whether he was being sarcastic or not.

“Oh,” he cleared his throat, wiping the tear that almost streamed down his face. His beautiful face. After a few seconds, he returned to his usual self--the one who always had a scowl on his face. “Nothing. I admire your...honesty.”

You bit your lip, feeling the heavy atmosphere. He slowly walked up to you. He grabbed your hips and whispered in a husky voice. “Truth is, cad--[F/N], I've always admired you from afar.”

Your eyes widened when he departed from your head. You two were now staring at each other with his arm still wrapped around your hips. You blushed. “W-What do you mean, c-captain...?”

He clicked his tongue. “Tch. I hate such denseness.” he pushed himself against you, kissing your lips hungrily. You were very confused at first, tightening your grip on his jacket but, once you got used to it, you started ruffling his hair with your free hand wrapping around his neck. You felt him grab your legs and wrap it around his waist.

You moaned in surprise when he placed you on top of his desk, both of his hands now playing around your back.  “C-Captain...”

“Tch. I'm sick of hearing that name. Just call me Levi.” You kept gripping on his jacket as his kiss deepened. As he was just about to close up to your chest, someone barged on the door. Both of you stared at each other first before you looked in the direction of the door, revealing Armin, panting and huffing with sweat running down his forehead.

You felt your eyes widened when he was struggling to say what he wanted. “C-Ca-Ca.... r-re-rep-r-re... u-uh-u-”

Armin stopped when a sword flew in the air, attaching itself against the wall. You looked at Levi and saw the manuever gear in his hand. You didn't even feel him sheath his sword!

Meanwhile, as Armin continued to stare in shock at the sword and in your position, he had just realized that he was interrupting you two so, with a bow and a quick “I-I'm sorry for the interruption!! D-Do carry on!” he slammed the door and went on his way.

Levi grabbed you by the chin, gently making you look in his direction. “Hey, only focus on me. I'm still not done with you.” he grabbed your legs again, wrapping it around his waist. You bit your lip due to nervousness as you stared at him. He laid your back on the desk flat. As he was just about to lay his lips upon you, he smirked.

“Want me to be your body pillow again?”

You nodded without hesitation, “Yes.”
