Introducing Aditya Hooda.....

"Aditya Hooda, my closest buddy! I hate you guys for linking me up in school with him. Grow up all of you. We lost our friendship due to these rumors. It's taken so long to restore it back. We assure you there is nothing between us and nothing will happen. At the cost of sounding clichéd, I will still go ahead and compare our friendship to Jai & Veeru. Adi, don't kill me J missed you so much buddy!".

Well reading that definitely hurt. Especially coming from Pooja. The girl he has been secretly feeling for years now. Aditya was sitting in the School canteen during his School reunion and reading the messages his batch mates wrote for the reunion party. 10 years of homecoming party.

Introduction to the Hooda Family:

Aditya is the elder son of HarshVardhan Hooda who is one of the celebrated lawyers of the country. HV Hooda runs the biggest law firms centered in Delhi & has great political connections. HV's family have all been lawyers and important position holders in politics & bureaucracy. Aditya's mother is Anjana Hooda who is the daughter of a renowned Political leader of the country, who once were the Chief Minister of a state. In all, this is an important family of the country always under scrutiny from media. Arjun, Aditya's younger brother has just finished his degree in International Law from London and started assisting his father in the firm in Delhi Office. Arjun is 25 yrs old.

Aditya had different aspirations for himself. While he had immense pressure to join politics, he ensured he stayed away from limelight. As it is, everything the family did was front page news. Their lunches, parties, vacations were highlight of Page 3. He is 28 yrs old.

Immediately after graduating from India's renowned college from DU, Aditya moved to the US to pursue commercial flying. After staying & working there for 6 years, Adi was being pressurized to come back home. He had finally decided to give into the pressure and come back home. Currently he is visiting his parents in India and is in touch with some Indian Airlines to join them. Anjana had been forcing Adi to come home for their 30th Anniversary. Adi could never say no to his mom. After all, she was his Maa. The pillar to his life. Sponge to his heartbreak soaking in all the pain.

14th September (7 days to Anniversary)

"Maa, like I said, I will relocate. I will come back home. You have to trust me." Said Adi. "See I am here with you right now. It's been a long flight from NY. Plus, this reunion business. It's been emotionally overwhelming too."

"Was Pooja there?" asked Anjana. Concerned for her son. She knew how deeply her son was attached to Pooja.

Adi: Does it matter Maa?

Anjana: Yes, Adi. It does matter. You don't need to see her. Why are you putting yourself through the same feelings again?

Adi: Maa, I am tired. Can we discuss this tomorrow?

Anjana: Sure Adi. Will you be okay? I am sure you will be. You're my strong bachha. Tomorrow onwards I want you to start helping me with the Anniversary preps. It has to be the best party of the year!

Adi: of course Maa, I will. Goodnight.

15th September: 6 days to anniversary

Aditya's childhood friend Vikram comes over to Hooda House.

Vikram: Hello Aunty. Where's Adi?

Anjana: In his room. Go wake him up.

Vikram: Rightaway.

Vikram rushes to Aditya's room. Knocks loudly on the door. Aditya is ready and just deciding which shirt/ Tee to wear.

Adi: Come in Bro!

Vikram: Bhai, youre ready? Waah! Bade body builder ho gaye ho.

Adi: Tub hi gym kiya kar. Nai to ye beer belly tera peecha kabhi nai chhodegi. Waise where do we need to go, why are you in such hurry.

Vikram: we have to rush to School. Pooja's come. She is reaching there directly. Are you excited to see her? How long has it been?

Adi: I am not excited to see her. But it's been 2 years & 8 months and 4 days.

Vikram: Saala Romeo. Let's go.

Introducing Pooja Sharma:

Pooja is the daughter of a business house- Sharma Enterprises. They have a well to do business but are no match in front of the Hoodas. The Sharmas are at max. middle class of the who's who of Delhi Circuit.

Pooja was Aditya's classmate while they studied at one of the prestigious schools. Pooja was always aspiring to become a model and therefore decided to pursue it seriously after school. She moved to Bombay immediately after school while Adi was in Delhi finishing his engineering from the prestigious Engineering college of Delhi. This was his first attempt to despise his parents and to annoy them further he decided to take up flying as a profession.

After Pooja moved to Bombay, Adi hardly ever got a chance to see her. She was rising through the modelling industry and every now and then there were stories being published about her in page 3. All about her success and downfall and her linkups & breakups. Adi knew it all, Thanks to Google.

Pooja always saw Adi as her closest friend from School. In class 12th, Adi had asked Pooja out for the dance night but she'd declined him for another guy. He still decided to make the evening special for her by getting her gifts and flowers and at the end of the night, told her how much he loved her. Pooja had a hearty laugh and told him to grow up. She then told this to all their friends and Adi's feelings had become the laughing stock of School. So much so, this incident even reached the media and was a story which became a coffee table conversation in each household in Delhi. Some called him loser and some worried on losing him as potential son-in-law. In all, no one cared about Adi's feelings- but his Maa. It was difficult for him to recover from the public humiliation. The innocent love of a 17-year-old boy became prime time breaking news and speculation market was hot, with media chasing him everywhere. the college socials became a page 3 news. so did vacations with friends. Each female friend was being targeted as a potential alliance or girlfriend. He had had enough!

in retrospect, How Adi saw the whole episode was falling in love and then gathering that courage from deep down to reach out to your love. Then that special person mocks you and the whole issue spiraled down leading to public display of his guarded emotions and making a mockery of it. He decided to lock it down forever. Never acknowledge it again ever.

Aditya @ School reunion lunch:

Adi: Vikram, we should go now.

Vikram: Yaar, you've just been looking at her all afternoon. The reunion message board says she missed you. Last checked, she's single. Maybe you have a chance. Go try. At least go say hello to her.

A: its been 11 years.... Pyar hota, to ho jata. Aur is baar Aditya Hooda kisi se kuch nai bolega. Pyar hai to aakar mujhe bol do. Ek baar main bas sunna chahta hun... ki mujhse pyar hai. Will burn the world down for her.

V: bhai, tu zyada senti nai ho gaya Pooja ke liye?

A: who said I am saying this for Pooja.

V: tujhe kya ye one-sided ashiqui mein maza aata hai?

A: pata nai yaar. Pata hota to aaj Pooja mere sath khadi hoti. Shayad hai, ya nahi bhi. pata nahi pyar se pyar hai ya Pooja se.

V: mere Ghalib, Pooja dekh rahi hai, Yahan aa rahi hai. Palatna mat.

A: chal ghar chalte hai...

Adi without looking back starts walking from there. Pooja comes running from behind.

Pooja: Adi, ruko. Adi... Adi...

Vikram: ruk ja bhai

A: nai...

Pooja calls Adi. He looks at his phone and turns.

Adi: Bolo Pooja..

P: Bina hello kahe tum kaise jaa sakte ho Mr. Hooda.

A: Hello Pooja. I am leaving now.

P: whats the matter with you Adi. Why are you behaving like this. Hum 2 saal baad mil rahe hai. Why are you acting so rude. Don't you have anything to say to me.

A: whatever I had to tell you Pooja, I did. 11 years ago, don't you remember. I told you everything I had to say. And then you chose to say what you wanted to say. And now, I have nothing more to say to you.

P: Are you mad Adi. Tu aaj bhi wahi atka hua hai? Ab you know I love you, but only as a friend Adi. It was never anything more. Please don't let this ruin our friendship Adi.

A: Pooja, I will be there whenever you will need your friend. Nothing more, nothing less.

P: Adi but... you can't do this

A: Bye Pooja.

P: wait Adi... at least let me talk

A: Maa is waiting Pooja. I have to be with her.

Aditya walks away home with Vikram..

Scene at Hooda House: Anjana & Arjun are having Coffee..

Anjana: Adi, you're back. Great! Now that you've started listening to me. Can I ask you to meet someone too? For my sake

Adi: Maa please. I don't want to settle down. Not now, not ever.

Anjana: see her once. She's the daughter of the opposition leader in the centre. You know Mr. Siddiqui right? She studied in London with Arjun and was his class mate. Arjun knows her very well. Seems like Arjun knows her sister very well too. Kyun Arjun?

Arjun smiles sheepishly. He had told all about him liking Noor to his mother Anjana, but was yet to discuss with his brother Aditya. Knowing how Adi felt about love, Arjun was skeptical to share his feelings out in open

Aditya: Maa, you know I am not interested. Why force me. Don't give hopes to someone which I will not be able to honour.

Anjana: Adi, ek baar mil to le. Arjun, please talk some sense into your brother about Zoya. Tell her how nice she is.
