Three

Jimin thought this was all a dream because the last person he wanted to see was standing right in front of him oblivious to who he actually was. His chest felt too tight all of a sudden as memories of the past ten years since Taehyung walked away from him resounded over and over in his head.

"Mr Park, this is the CEO of Bangtan shoes Kim Taehyung" Sunmi said then turned to the other.

"Sir, this is one of our clients Park Jimin and he really needs to speak with you"

Jimin wasn't listening at all. All the blood had completely drained from his face and he looked deathly pale.

"Jimin? Mr Park? Are you alright?"

It was Sunmi leaning her face towards him looking worried but Jimin gulped fully. He wasn't prepared for this. He definitely wasn't prepared to see Kim Taehyung again so he turned and took to his heels. He didn't know where he was going neither did he care. He only wanted to collect his thoughts and figure out how to deal with this. He could hear Sunmi's voice behind him and Taehyung questioning her as he darted towards the left corner of the hallway which to his relief led to the rest room. He opened the door and dashed inside, rushed to the sink and began to splash water on his face hoping it would calm him down a little but nothing. It didn't help. Instead, he felt more anxious than ever. He groaned in frustration.

"How? How could this happen to me?" He cried woefully.

"He is the CEO? No! This has got to be a dream, a nightmare!" He whispered under his breath breathing heavily. He shook when he felt his phone ringing inside his pocket. He pulled it out and checked the caller ID. It was sunmi. He didn't answer. Instead, he looked at his image fixedly in the mirror with a determined smile.

"I can do this. Besides, it's been ten years and I'm a totally different person now"

He breathed nervously. "That asshole will never know who i am. I'm here for one thing and one thing only. To get those shoes. I don't give a damn about that jerk"

He believed his words as he said it loudly to his own ears and drew more courage. He wiped his face and straightened his back. After taking another deep breath, he walked out of the rest room, his head held high. He took his time walking back to the group he had run away from.

His breath hitched as he saw him. Taehyung stood there with his arms crossed, his face firm while Sunmi and the secretary had panicked expression on their faces.

"Are you okay Jimin?" Sunmi asked.

Jimin nodded. "Yeah, I guess it was something I ate"

"Sunmi told me who you are" Taehyung suddenly said loudly staring at him through cold eyes. Seriously, Jimin felt shivers run through his spine just by his mere stare. He was still gorgeous with those deep dark eyes and strong chin that never failed to give people ideas but something had changed in Taehyung. His aura was much too intimidating and scary. It was as if he was trying to make everyone else feel uneasy around him. He cleared his throat.

"I heard you have a bone to pick with me concerning the contract...well, I'll like to hear you out"

Jimin felt an indescribable anger pass through him but he maintained his cool wearing a smug smile on his face.

"If you'll hear me out, that's fine but I'm not here to argue. I only want us to reason with each other like two civilized human beings"

Taehyung stared at Jimin deeply while the women looked so uncomfortable trapped in their midst.

Taehyung raised an eyebrow "What did you say your name was?"

Jimin sighed. "Jimin! Park Jimin!" he said.

Taejun nodded his head and opened the door of his office wider.

"You can come in!" he said. Jimin gave Sunmi one last look before entering into the office.

"You both return to your duties!" Taehyung said dryly and shut the door on their faces. He entered the office and now, they where alone face to face. Taehyung stretched out his hand towards one of the white couches while smiling strangely.

"Sit please" he said.

Jimin sat down looking around the well furnished and painfully neat office with its white walls and rug. It smelled of lemons. Taehyung walked towards the wine cabinet at the far end of the office.

"Wine?" he said pulling wine out of the cabinet but Jimin shook his head.

"Thanks for the offer but I'm not here to drink"

Taehyung chuckled. "Gosh, don't be so uptight!"

"Don't you think it's wrong drinking during working hours?" Jimin said

Taehyung smiled wryly. "Not when you're the boss" he answered and dropped the wine bottle and two glass cups on the center table.

Jimin just sighed as Taehyung poured wine into the cups and sat down comfortably on the couch beside him. He really didn't want to spend any more time with this man. When he thought about ten years ago, he cringed and became instantly uncomfortable all over his body.

"So you're Park Jimin. I've heard about you. You're quite popular in the world of fashion"

Jimin forced a smile on his face as he watched Taehyung sip his glass of wine slowly.

"Thank you but truthfully, I'm extremely mad concerning your company service!"

"What?"

"Yes. I'm mad. You can't just cancel an agreement whenever you feel like it"

Taehyung crossed his legs. "Actually I can"

Jimin rolled his eyes as Taehyung continued.
"Ever since I came back to take over the company, I made plans for this business. I can't just accept every agreement that comes our way.... "

Jimin was clearly annoyed at this point "I'm not just anyone. I worked my ass off to get to this point and to have your company merge with mine so you have no right to cancel our contract just like that without any profound reason. I find that extremely disrespectful"

Taehyung smiled. "Guess you didn't read through the contract well before signing it"

Jimin widened his gaze at him. "What are you talking about?"

Taehyung smiled cockily "The contract clearly states that Bangtan shoes has the right to cancel any arrangement made with a client whenever we please provided we pay the necessary fees"

Jimin scoffed fuming "I can't believe this. This is crap!"

Taehyung stared at him. "Crap?"

"Utter Bullshit. I don't need your money. My fashion show is tomorrow and I can't just cancel it. Lots of prominent people are attending and I need those shoes!"

"I'm sorry Mr Park but I'm sure some other company can give you their shoes just not me"

He crossed his leg wearing a careless look on his face making Jimin extremely frustrated by this man's laid back attitude.

"You don't understand. I don't have a back up because I thought I had already secured the contract with you!"

"Now, isn't that a shame"

Jimin stood up flaring with anger. "You're an asshole. A dip shit. You really do think the world revolves around you don't you? You think you can do whatever you want and get away with it"

He laughed bitterly "You're going to get what's coming to you"

Taehyung looked confused looking up at him "Have we met before?" he said.

Jimin froze. "We've never met before Mr Kim" He lied then continued "But even if we have, I'm the type of person you'll never forget"

Taehyung scoffed as Jimin suddenly grabbed the glass of wine and smirked wickedly as he circled the glass around his fingers. Taehyung gave him a look like 'what  do you think you are about to do?' when Jimin raised the cup pouring the entire content down his white stock shirt.

Taehyung shouted in horror as he jumped from the couch as if someone poured hot water down his skin.

"Yah! Are you crazy?" he yelled, fire burning through his eyes.

"Enjoy the wine!" Jimin said full of sass and left the office leaving a flabbergasted Kim Taehyung back there. The secretary looked confused when he came out with a smile on his face. He ignored her and walked past her when he stopped as he heard a loud growl behind him.

"You're going to pay for this Park!" Taehyung shouted. Jimin turned and saw the secretary staring at her boss in shock. Jimin didn't answer. Pouring that drink on him was a small childish prank but it was the only thing he could do to quench his anger at the moment compared to what he actually wanted to do to him. The truth was It was personal and it really had nothing to do with the broken contract.

He turned and left the hallway then entered the elevator watching Taehyung fussing over his wine stained shirt until the elevator door closed. He didn't inform Sunmi he was going because his mind was preoccupied with tomorrow's fashion show and the realization that Taehyung was back in his path now and that he might discover about him and the secret he has been keeping for the past ten years.

Thanks for reading. Have a great day everyone!
