Jungkook began to speak and Jimin drew closer to him to hear what he had to say.

"Kim Cha ha isn't Taehyung's birth mother. His real mother used to be her best friend when they where in college. Her name was Lee so hye. They used to be inseparable back then. They did everything together. That was until they met Kim Dae Soo, Taehyung's father"

Jimin nodded his head, listening attentively.

"At first, Kim Dae Soo was interested in Lee so hye"

Jungkook smiled sadly. "I wish you had met her. She was so pretty, kind and down to earth. She was a really nice person..."

He sniffed. "But there's a saying. The good ones never last long..."

"Anyway, I guess Miss Lee was unaware that Cha ha was also interested in Mr Kim. I mean they had all met each other at the same time. In one of those horse racing games. Miss Lee and Mr Kim dated for a while but the relationship broke when she discovered that Cha ha and Mr Kim where having an affair behind her back. Though Mr Kim begged her to return to him, it was already too late because Cha ha had gotten pregnant"

"Miss Lee left everything to start a new life, away from the both of them. She came to Daegu and met my parents who took her in and helped her get a job at a book store. Miss Lee had no other family apart from my parents. Most of her relatives where dead apart from a  distant uncle. Because of their kindness towards her, Miss Kim cared for my parents very well. After living a few years with my family, Mr Kim suddenly showed up at the house begging Miss Lee for forgiveness. He had discovered that Cha Ha was a horrible person. After having a miscarriage, she almost went crazy, taking over the company, firing everyone for the smallest of things. She had also become extremely violent with Mr Kim till the extent that he had to be admitted to the hospital after she had broken his head with a beer bottle"

"At first, Miss Lee refused to believe it. She had known Cha ha since they where children but then again, she hadn't known she was capable of sleeping with her boyfriend behind her back. Mr Kim begged her several times to come back to him. He promised to divorce Cha ha and marry her. Miss Lee fell for it and began her affair with Mr Kim"

"Before long, Cha Ha got wind of the affair and Mr Kim's desire to divorce her so she tracked them down and threatened to kill the both of them if Mr Kim went through with the divorce. Miss Lee faced many threats to her life  by Cha Ha. The last one was a motorcycle accident which she barely escaped but it was that accident that made her realize she was already pregnant"

"Due to the fear of loosing both her life and her baby because of Cha ha, Miss Lee went into hiding from Mr Kim. My parents where the only ones who was aware of where she was living. They promised Miss Lee not to let Mr Kim know about her where abouts or her child's"

"Soon, she gave birth to Taehyung. The following year, I was born to my parents. Taehyung and I where pretty close when we where younger. He was such a trouble maker growing up"

Jimin laughed painfully imagining little Taehyung in his head. "Everything was alright until Taehyung turned twelve and he met his father for the first time. I didn't know what happened but I knew Miss Lee was upset that Mr Kim found out about Taehyung. Apparently, he had been searching for her since she went hiding. They argued a lot because Mr Kim wanted Taehyung to live with him but Miss Lee was concerned about Taehyung's safety. She was afraid that Cha Ha was going to hurt him. After much fights and arguments, Miss Lee eventually agreed to let Taehyung stay with Mr Kim on the condition that he would stay with her twice every month"

"The arrangements worked out well. Taehyung went to live with his father, Cha Ha and his half brother Kim Joo seok. He was just eight years old but Taehyung loved him so much. He never joked around when it came to Joo seok. He carried him around every where with him and during the times he stayed with Miss Lee, he told her about him but he was sad because Cha Ha always kept Joo seok away from him. She hated seeing them together but Miss Lee only assured her son that everything would be alright"

"However, unfortunately for me and my younger brother, My parents passed away in a road accident. We had no other relations who where ready to take care of us. We didn't want to put into child protection services or taken to an orphanage so Miss Lee surprisingly took us in. She said it was a way to repay my parents for all the good things they had done for her. As for me, I promised to repay her kindness when the time came"

"Taehyung had lived with the Kims for three years when the accident happened. There was a sudden fire at their mansion which unfortunately took the life of Joo seok. No one knew how the fire started but Taehyung and Joo seok where the only ones in the house when the fire started. Taehyung sustained a lot of injuries but Joo seok died on his way to the hospital"

"Kim Cha Ha was filled with hate, bitterness and revenge. She claimed that Taehyung had started the fire on purpose to kill Joo seok. She claimed that he did it on Miss Lee's orders. She was totally consumed by anger and threatened to draw blood for the sake of her dead child"

Jungkook shook his head. "I remember that day like yesterday. The first day I saw Kim Cha Ha"

Years ago

Miss Lee So hye was wiping the table with a clean rag. Jungkook was neck deep in his assignment while his brother, fixed his eyes on the TV in front of him when they heard a loud banging noise on the door.

Miss Lee looked alarmed. "Who could that be?" She whispered.

"Open this door you whore! You slut!"

Miss Lee shivered with anger as she walked towards the door and opened it glaring at the woman who marched in.

"Cha Ha, what are you doing here?"

Cha Ha laughed. "Old friend, haven't you been expecting me?"

Lee so hye took a deep breath. "I'm really sorry about...."

"Shut your mouth. I don't want to hear your lies or see your fake acting in front of me. I'm sure you're very happy.. You've been planning this from the beginning ever since I snatched Kim Dae Soo from you. I wondered why you suddenly left without no words, no reaction. Now I can wee You where busy planning your revenge!"

Miss Lee scoffed. "Revenge? I left because there was no need for me to stick around anymore after knowing you had gotten pregnant for him"

Cha Ha reddened "Then why did you sleep with him? Why did you have an affair with my husband behind my back then go ahead to have that bastard!"

Miss Lee's eyes darkened "Don't you dare insult my child! Don't you dare!"

Cha Ha smiled smugly "Does it hurt? Well why don't you just explain your self"

"I was weak and stupid. I was lonely. In the midst of my weakness, Dae Soo came along. He promised that he was going to marry me. I believed him"

Cha Ha grinned "He would have if I hadn't taken action. That idiot would have left me to be with you but none of you have any idea what I'm capable of"

Cha Ha went on. "Your son has taken my life away from me. He has taken my only source of happiness and because of this, I will have my revenge on all of you. You, Dae Soo and your abominable seed"

Miss Lee shook her head. "please stop it. As far as I know, it was only an accident"

"Accident?" Cha Ha laughed. "It wasn't. You used your son to get back at me because you want to take back what I took from you. I'm sure I will be your next target. You will kill me too in other to take my place"

"You've lost it. I don't have an interest in what ever you have. The only thing I care about is my son so give him back to me"

"No way, I'm going to keep your son but I'll make him feel what hell tastes like"

She scoffed. "As long as I'm unhappy, neither you, Taehyung or Dae Soo will be happy. I will destroy you all. Mark my words!"

A single tear fell down her eyes before she stormed out of the house.

Now

"Apparently, Cha Ha wasn't bluffing. Mr Kim became mysteriously ill leaving Cha Ha to do whatever she liked with Taehyung. For a whole year, Taehyung was kept at home, treated like a slave unable to go to school. Miss Lee couldn't contact her son anymore. When she came to the mansion to see him, Cha Ha would throw her out. She tried getting help from the police and the Court but nothing worked. Cha Ha was untouchable.

"Mr Kim somehow got better after leaving the mansion he had been staying at with Cha Ha. He and Taehyung left for another city. There, Taehyung was able to start school again and see Miss Lee. But Cha Ha was not satisfied. She paid people to stalk Taehyung. Most times he was beaten up. When Taehyung transferred to my school, we both learned self defense in other to protect him because he was always ambushed by strange people ready to inflict pain on him. As time passed, Taehyung became extremely self conscious feeling like everyone was his enemy. This affected his social life. He couldn't keep friends for long so his father suggested that he go for therapy. That was how he met Dr Jin. He was still a young man fresh out of college but with enough knowledge about his work field"

"Taehyung and I got into different colleges. I guess that was where he met you. For the first time, he was actually happy but he was worried. He didn't know how to tell you about his family. He was scared of dragging you to his family mess. However, Mr Kim and Miss Lee knew about you because Taehyung told them a lot about you. He even sent them pictures. They understood why they couldn't officially meet you. And that was until they where able to stop Cha Ha.

"Taehyung left college and started living with you but that was when things became worse. Cha Ha's desire to kill him grew especially when she knew he was ripe to take over the company. She pursued him with vengeance"

Jimin tightened his fist. "Why didn't he tell me?"

"He didn't want to put you at risk. He was scared that something bad would happen to you"

Jimin started to remember all those times he came home drunk, bruised and in a very bad mood. he used to think it was because he didn't want to stay with him. Because he had grown tired of them. How wrong he was. Taehyung had been going through so much pain at the time. Tears fell relentlessly down his eyes.

Jungkook continued "The last straw came when Miss Lee was found dead in her home, hanging from the ceiling. It looked like she committed suicide but we all knew better. However, there was no evidence to prove that Cha Ha was responsible.

"After Miss Lee was buried, Mr Kim suggested that Taehyung travel abroad. That way, Cha Ha would be unable to hurt him since she didn't have connections there but Taehyung was reluctant to do so. He knew he had to leave but he didn't know how. He didn't know what reason to give you until the day you told him you wanted to change your sex. Taehyung finally found a reason to leave"

Jimin was angry "I can't believe it!...damn him. He should have told me!"

"He should have but Taehyung had started to experience a lot of mental health issues after the death of his mother. He definitely couldn't think straight. I had made a promise to Miss Lee before her death that I would always protect Taehyung....."

His lips quivered. "But I failed. Cha Ha has finally had her way. The thing Taehyung feared the most finally came through"

Jimin realized something "So that's why he was always cautious...the dark clothes...the lack of people around him... the pills" he whispered.

"Yes! Mr Kim sheltered Taehyung for years but when he died, Taehyung had no choice but to return to Korea after he was made the CEO of the company due to his father's will"

"This is so painful... I feel so terrible right now. How do I face him when he wakes?"

"It isn't your fault. He never told you so you had every right to think the way you did but the question is, now that you know, what are you going to do? You have become a target. You and Mintae. Cha Ha will stop at nothing to get rid of you both as long as it hurts Taehyung"

"First of all, we have to get justice against that witch Kim Cha Ha. She has tortured and hurt Taehyung for so long because of her sick desire to avenge the death of her son. Because of her, many people got hurt. Many people also lost their lives. She needs to be stopped. It's the only way all of us can be safe"

Jungkook nodded. "Taehyung had been running from her all these years but now, he has to step up against her"

"Yes but first of all, he has to wake up" Jimin whispered.

That night, Jimin stayed with Taehyung in his ward watching as the machine kept beeping signifying that he was still alive and yet, he made no movement. Nothing. He was as still as a log. Jimin slowly traced the scars on his face with his fingers.

"I'm so sorry Tae. I didn't know. You should have told me. We would have figured out a way to stay together. Now, I'm sure you weren't disgusted by me back then but what did you really think? How did you really feel?"

He sighed squeezing his cold hands "Don't worry. Cha Ha won't get away with this...I promise you"

With a soft sigh, he brushed the bangs away from Taehyung's fore head and laid his head beside him dreaming of the dark and heavy look on his face before the blast happened. To Jimin, it wasn't a dream but a nightmare.
