CannibalCrab grins when he sees questions for himself. He pushes Pikalus out of the way and begins to read, ignoring Pikalus' insults that he throws at him.

CannibalCrab laughs at the question, still grinning at the fact that he got a question.

CannibalCrab: Ohhh believe me, if you were KrakenKid's General, you'd get sassy too from all the crap you have to deal with.

KrakenKid glares at him, crossing his arms. CannibalCrab isn't as phased by this at that moment.

CannibalCrab glances at the next one with his name.

CannibalCrab: Hey, KrakenKid and Blooper, you have to leave.

Grumbling, the krakens leave the room and CannibalCrab proceeds to read it.

CannibalCrab snickers but shakes his head.

CannibalCrab: I plan on never doing that... Or, maybe on my deathbed I will, that'd be an interesting bomb to drop...

For talking about his own death, CannibalCrab smirks to himself.

The author grumbles to herself.

Atlantis: What is it with you people and breaking the fourth wall? It's there for a reason! They literally are in Minecraft! Calm down, Meta Knight!

Selena only has to think for half a second before answering.

Selena: Future. It'll have more advantages and I'd rather not deal with all those wars I was forced to learn about, or the diseases. Plus, people can be sexist so I pretty much have the best chance there. Maybe they'll have flying cars then... A girl can dream

KrakenKid bristles at the question while Cody snorts loudly.

KrakenKid: Excuse me! Not all guys have low voices thank you very much! At least I don't have an annoying one like Cody's.

Cody stops snickering and glares.

Cody: Hey!

KrakenKid: I only speak the truth here!

KrakenKid seems a little reminiscent. He seems deep in thought.

KrakenKid: I used to when I was a kid. Whenever I was stressed or happy or scared or just feeling any emotion that got out of control I'd draw. Haven't in a while but I used old fashioned pencil and paper. My father- uh- didn't like me doing things that wasn't what he wanted. That wasn't "Manly" enough for him... Whatever that means- so I couldn't get anything digital.

KrakenKid has no idea what you're taking about.

KrakenKid: Other than Cody I don't remember "Dying" at all... Unless you mean Annon. And possessed Hulk. And the cave collapsing while Cody and I were inside. And- oh

KrakenKid suddenly understands what you mean. He's now staring off in the distance. Tanith seems worried but doesn't say anything, just laying a hand on his shoulder.

Sam has no problem answering the question, she knows who she's loyal to and answers the question immediately.

Sam: Cody. Do you even have to ask?

Selena however, looks between Cody and Blooper frantically. Both seem focused on her, waiting for an answer.

Selena lets out a frustrated cry and can't answer. Tanith pats get on the back, fully knowing the feeling.

Professor stares for a long time.

Professor Pikalus: That's an... Oddly specific question... But two things would happen: Disciplined for breaking off in a fight, we train our soldiers to keep going, and two, yes. Atlantis prides itself in keeping ourselves human. Therapy for any mental trauma and physical therapy for the physical damage is all payed for by us. Not to mention the soldiers are close. I wouldn't have to step in, they would before me. They're one big family, that one.

A few like Cody and KrakenKid think for a moment, looking like this is a thought they have a lot, while others like Tanith and Pikalus are nodding, finally agreeing on something.

Tanith: Yeah! I believe that there's all sorts of universes where we made a different choice and everything changes. There's probably even some world where I'm the sister to Pikalus or something

Professor raises an eyebrow at her analogy but goes on.

Professor Pikalus: I personally believe in the theory that every single time we made a choice, there's another Alternate Universe created where you made a different one. Like if you had a choice for making your eggs sunny side up or scrambled, and you chose scrambled, there's another Reality where you decided on sunny side up, and this your day before slight different, until the next day is eve more so, until in one universe you're a scientist but in the other, you're trying to overthrow the king. Possibilities are endless. Not to mention I-

Professor paused for a moment, shaking his head. CannibalCrab seems interested in what he was about to say, raising his eyebrow.

Professor Pikalus: Nothing, never mind. Next.

CannibalCrab begins to have an suspicion, but stays quiet.

All pause, some even freezing.

Sam: Of course we do, everyone has a fear. I'm not a fan of being alone or feeling not in control. Finding out I was being possessed at one point...

Sam shivered so herself but puts on a brave face anyways. Selena agrees with her.

Selena: I don't like being alone much either, but also spiders and being dragged into a civil war by these two idiots.

Selena gestures towards Cody and KrakenKid. They both seem rather uncomfortable with this being brought up. Tanith decides its as good as time as any to jump in.

Tanith: I don't like heights. Or birds. Or being trapped in a vehicle, those are just a disaster waiting to happen. Or-

Tanith almost says something but shakes it off like she's in a bad dream, dropping her sentence entirely.

CannibalCrab: Hmm... The dark. Specifically pitch black darkness and total silence because that just gets me creeped out

KrakenKid: My Conch Command being invaded again. Last time wasn't fun.

KrakenKid sends a glare to Cody, who looks more guilty than anything.

Cody: A lot of things. Spiders, needles, losing control, becoming someone I don't want to be, failure...

Cody's voice gets further away the more he talks until he stops completely. Professor huffs.

Professor Pikalus: A lab going wrong and making everything explode, mostly because it's possible. I make sure to rationalize all of my fears.

Professor looks like he's holding back. Blooper doesn't answer at all, suddenly appearing much more stressed than anything else and keeps glancing towards his father, then CannibalCrab. Something tells you he's thinking about his father's legacy.

Ace doesn't have to think much.

Ace: Death. I don't know why but ever since I've become alive, Death is now my top fear. The thought suddenly becomes... Unbearable.

Ace visibly shivers. Chester is more deep in thought.

Chester: I know I'm afraid of the dark and various animals but it's more instinctual. I don't know what I'm actually afraid of.

Even as he says it, he makes the quickest glance towards Ace. You get the feeling he's lying through his teeth, but he won't say what it is. At least, not unless he's alone.

Cody doesn't say anything. You get the feeling you know what he would've said otherwise. Tanith seems worried by the question, glancing at Cody, and several other people at once.

KrakenKid: I'd like to change the past, bring back my people and fix everything. Have a proper childhood.

KrakenKid keeps a straight face but his eyes show so many emotions, you're surprised he's able to do it. CannibalCrab thinks for a long moment.

CannibalCrab: Hm... I'd like if I could see my parents again... Or bring Larsa back, I miss him.

Professor Pikalus: Gaining control of my Hulk abilities, or getting rid of them completely. Its dangerous.

Blooper: I'd like it if my Mom was still around.

Blooper purposely looks to KrakenKid as he says it, but KrakenKid refuses to so much as widen his eyes in reaction. Blooper frowns, more out of frustration than anything. He wants answers. Selena speaks up.

Selena: I wish Mom wasn't dead.

Sam nods in agreement, for she was thinking that the whole time but couldn't seem to say it. Tanith sighs deeply.

Tanith: Ain't that a list... The biggest would be bringing back Kenji. He's my best friend.

Meanwhile, at-

Ace: Never leaving the Nexus. It's best for everyone.

Ace's response is immediate, something tells you he's thought about this before. Chester seems to be thinking the same from the look he's giving him. Then, in a voice Ace can't hear, Chester tells you his.

Chester: I just want to save him.

Professor, Selena, Sam, CannibalCrab and Blooper all think before shaking their heads, or some other response that indicates a negative response.

Selena: Sam and I did lose our Mom but bringing her back at the expense of someone else life... I can't do that, that's just-

All in unison, KrakenKid, Cody and Tanith and say 'Yes' shocking everyone else.

CannibalCrab: What? Isn't it a risky deal?

Blooper: I knew you had lost people, Dad, but I didn't think-

KrakenKid: But its what I want. I have a list of people I'd like back, and it hurts that they're gone.

Cody: It's like a hole in your chest...

Tanith: A piece of you that'll never return. Even just to see them again would be enough.

Cody: Even if it's only for a few minutes, I just want to say goodbye. I never got to.

The others all stare at the ones who answer yes in shock.

Ace and Chester don't have as much trouble with it.

Ace: Well... I haven't really lost anybody so that's a no from me.

Chester nods in agreement.

Ace's body twitches just while he thinks about it.

Ace: No that's... I'm not gonna let that happen. It's not going to, and even if they did,

Ace clutches his fist. Chester takes a step back when sparks fly off of him.

Ace: They wouldn't live to tell the tale.

The author advises you that asking questions like this might lead to something you don't want, and advises you refrain from this.

Ace takes a protective stance over Chester. The last question seems to have gotten him fired up, and fully ready to fight if needed. Ace seems ready to protect Chester at all costs.

But... You can see Chester behind him. He doesn't seem alarmed or even fazed. He's deadly calm, and just for one moment, his eyes... Are they glowing? That's not possible, must've been a trick of the light.

Either way, something's not right.

Cody stays silent for a long time. The Atlanteans all become worried, while the Tide Changers are all wary of him. Eventually, he speaks, his voice soft.

Cody: Have you ever had someone who completed you?

The question takes the rest of them aback, but he continues without anyone answering.

Cody: I don't mean a romantic partner, though it could be, but someone close to your heart because they keep you in line. That was Joe for me.

Cody stares at the ground, not making eye contact.

Cody: Joe might've been my impulsive and reckless Brother but he always had the best interests in mind. Heart of gold. He might've needed me to keep him out of trouble, but it wasn't until he was gone that I realized I needed him too.

Tanith feels everything Cody is through their bond, and her heart already is heavy and she doesn't want to do anything. How he can bare it astonishes her.

Cody: Joe was my stress relief and the person I could go to if I needed something. He was my support and backbone, and even when he saw the worst of me, he didn't run. He sat down right with me until I blubbered to him what was wrong... So you can imagine when he was gone, I changed. I know I changed and I hate it because I don't remember what I used to be.

There's a long silence.

Cody: So, have you ever had someone you couldn't live without? And more importantly, have you ever felt the agony of losing that person?

Everyone is speechless. Time passes until it gets dark. They all decide to get some sleep.

But, in the dead of night when nobody else is up, there's a shuffling. Into the room, KrakenKid stumbles in and stares at the screen. His eyes are struggling to stay open, but his face is blank.

KrakenKid: Couldn't Sleep... Might as well do something.

He lets out a yawn before sitting back. It's almost as if he's waiting for questions, and from the way he's looking, he might not be as restrained as before...

EVENT UNLOCKED: TRUTH SERUM KRAKEN
KrakenKid is extremely tired and it's around One AM. Unable to sleep, he's open to questions, but doesn't seem as tense as before. He'll answer almost any question truthfully, with little to no exceptions.
This EVENT will last one or two turns before the other characters are available again and it goes away.
