When looking at the new questions, Pikalus barrels forward when he sees one with his name.

Professor Pikalus: Move! I'm gonna read them this time.

Cody seems to give up his job begrudgingly but does in the end.

Professor seems to blink at the question, confused, but then interested.

Professor Pikalus: I've never seen those kids before, and genetics? Hmmm... I'll be honest, I've been more focused with my... Other projects- but I am a fan of genetics and the millions of possibilities of genetics! I have worked with clones before, though it didn't work out... They've been eliminated.

Professor looks at the question again and stares at one thing.

Professor Pikalus: And Cody and Sam can make babies the old fashioned way, they're a guy and a girl, it's possible. And you can't stop me, I'll create whatever I want! I ANSWER TO NOBODY!

Cody: Calm down, Prof.

Professor Pikalus: Fine...

CannibalCrab snickers.

CannibalCrab: Answer to nobody, eh?

Professor Pikalus: Shut your mouth, Guard Dog.

KrakenKid thinks for a moment, a sad look on his face.

KrakenKid: In the past it's been Larsa and-

KrakenKid looks like he's about to say something, but catches himself. A side glance at Blooper makes him drop it entirely.

KrakenKid: But, Uh, as of now, probably Gnash. He's hardworking, sweeter than he looks and pulls more than his weight around the Conch Command. Not to mention he always listens to all of my commands.

KrakenKid sends a glare to CannibalCrab, who grins sheepishly.

Most of them look uncomfortable with the question.

Cody: No and I sure hope not!

Cody looks around the room, making sure nobody is following him. Most of the others agree, until,

Sam: Yep

Selena: Yeah

The room goes quiet as they all stare at them.

Selena: What? Only for pranks!

Sam: You have to know where the person is to prank them. It's the first rule.

Blooper thinks on this, then agrees. The rest wonder if that's the only case that they do.

Meanwhile, Chester shakes his head but Ace hesitates.

Ace: Well... Yeah. I have to know more about all of my opponents, it's not much of an option.

Once again, most don't know, but a few step forward.

Cody: Oh yeah! I played it thinking I could just make fun of a classic dating sim but...

CannibalCrab pats his back understandingly as he shivers. The rest all have no idea what's going on.

Ace has no idea what your saying, but Chester looks up, his eyes have a shadow in them. He says one thing.

Chester: Just Monika

Ace is surprised he has questions but welcomes it.

Ace: So you're also named Ace? Did they also think you were an Ace In The Hole? Or that you were either above everyone or the lowest of the low?

Chester shakes his head, getting Ace's attention.

Chester: Humans are named in different ways, Ace.

Ace: Oh, uhhhh...

Ace gives a thumbs up.

Ace stares... Keeps staring... Can't stop staring...

Ace: U-uh...

Chester: Yeah he's really gay. I don't think I've ever seen him swing the other way.

Ace makes a choking sound, eyes going wide. He almost seems to shake at just the thought.

Ace: I-... I don't want...

Ace accidentally lets out sparks of his electricity, then quickly stops it, now more scared of himself than ever. He hides in the corner, unable to answer the question.

Chester forces himself to have a straight face, but you can tell his jaw is clenching, his nails are digging into his skin as he balls his hands into fists, and his eyes are filled with hatred.

You feel asking questions like this might trigger something you don't want... Best not to do that right now...

All of them have blank faces. The author whispers to you.

Atlantis: Psst! Wattpad doesn't exist in their universe!

The author retreats back to her corner and lets it go on.

They all begin to think, smiling to themselves.

Cody: Pop, some songs aren't as good but some can just be so catchy! Sue me, it's popular for a reason!

KrakenKid: Anything really, I'm not picky.

Professor Pikalus: Jazz helps me work, and a lot of instrumental music.

Blooper: I don't have a "Genre", I just find a song I like and play it on repeat for a month before finding a new one.

Selena: That's why I never let Blooper pick the music. Anyways, pop, country or blues music for me!

Sam: I listen to soundtracks of movies or video games. The Skyrim Soundtrack is nice to fall asleep to.

Cody looks like he's fallen even harder in love as he stares at Sam.

Tanith: Everything is nice but Reggae music is my favorite!

CannibalCrab: Piano... Also the Spice Girls and Beyonce

KrakenKid: So it was you who got the whole Conch Command addicted to them?

CannibalCrab just giggles to himself.

Over in a different district, Ace and Chester begin to think.

Chester: Alternate mostly. Basically any music that has words I can think about and not just about money and love songs that all sound the same.

Ace: Uhh... I just listen to nature sounds?

As Professor looks at the next question, he frowns and turns to Cody.

Professor Pikalus: Cody... You might want to leave for this question.

Though confused, Cody leaves the room, then Pikalus reads it.

Sam and Selena give each other looks. Professor sighs deeply, taking off his glasses and rubbing his eyes. Tanith frowns even deeper than she did when Cody had to leave. KrakenKid doesn't say a word, his face is unreadable.

Tanith: Hey, I don't think Blooper or I really knew Cody before so... We're gonna check on him.

Tanith gestures towards the door, and while Blooper wants to hear all the secrets, he follows her anyways. Cannibal nods.

CannibalCrab: I didn't either, I'll join you guys.

As they all leave, the remaining have trouble putting it into words. Eventually, Sam is able to speak.

Sam: I hate to say it out loud but... No, he's not the same. He wasn't the same when Joe left and he's not the same now that he's...

Sam trails off, her eyes darkening. Selena decides to speak up as well.

Selena: It's difficult to put into words, but he's darker without him. There's more weight on his shoulders, bags under his eyes, and he looks like he's aged ten years since then. It's hard to watch.

Professor Pikalus: Joe's always been a part of his life. From the moment Joe was born, Cody has rarely left his side for long. They grew up together, fought together, held each other up and couldn't even decide on who should get the throne. They could only rule side by side... Losing someone like that changes you.

KrakenKid: ...He hasn't been the same since he returned to Atlantis.

The Atlanteans seem surprised that Kraken said anything, full expecting him to say nothing about the topic. KrakenKid's eyes refuse to meet anyone else's.

KrakenKid: I knew Cody before he left for the Overworld and didn't come back, he's changed. Before, he always had this darkness in his eyes. If you think he does now, multiply that by ten and that was him. He was hopeless, more serious, and he wasn't the same. Then, when he returned, it was like he was a whole different person. All of that darkness, wiped clean. He was happier. I barely recognized him for the same person, and it's because he's not. He forgot everything... I knew that before anyone told me.

With his words, there's a silence in the room.
