Chapter 2

Percy's POV
Looking around the room, I saw two guys playing on the Xbox, one of them had a bow and a quiver filled with arrows laying next to him and the other guy had messy blonde hair with black jeans and a grey long sleeve T-shirt with blue stripes and black sections here and there. (In my book, Pietro lives!!!) A girl with a red jacket and light brown hair sat next to him, just watching the game.

To the left, a guy dresses in the American flag, I think, a woman with a skin tight leather suit and a guy with fake metal wings were just standing, talking about who knows what. On the right, there were more seats with a guy wearing armour and a green cape stood chatting to a guy with armour and a red cape. They were possibly brothers and I could sense godly auras coming from them. From the way they dress, I think they may be Norse gods. (Loki has turned a new leaf)

Not far off, a weird guy with red skin was just hovering above the ground, staring outside one of the many windows in the room. Two other guys were just sitting on the seats, one with glasses and ruffled up black hair was reading a book whilst a teenage boy, possibly around my age, was playing madly on his phone.

Tony clapped his hands together to gather everyone's attention. "Okay, guys. This is my nephew, Percy Jackson, was it?" Like I have been doing for the past few minutes, I've been simply nodding my head. "Anyway, he's going to be staying here because of his parent's . . . incident." I shuddered just thinking about what I saw but honestly, I've seen much more.

"Yeah alright! Finally someone else my age I can hang out with." That came from the dude playing on his phone. I glanced over to see the other gods and they both had wide eyes and started whispering to each other. Both of them could probably sense the aura around me as well.

"Probably need to make some introductions." Tony said, breaking the brief silence. "Cap, wanna go first?" The guy dressed in the American flag nodded and began speaking. "So, I'm Steve Rogers, or better known as Captain America. Leader of the Avengers." Steve looked over to the girl next to him for her turn to speak. "I'm Natasha Romanoff, known as the Black Widow on the team."

Slowly, everyone started introducing themselves. The guy with the fake wings was called Sam Wilson or Falcon, the twins were Wanda and Pietro Maximoff, the other dude with the bow was Clint Barton or Hawkeye, the teen was Peter Parker, known as Spiderman, the person with the glasses was Bruce, Dr. Banner preferably, and is the Hulk and the last guy with the red skin was Vision, the one Tony told me about. Finally, the two gods introduced themselves.

"I am Thor Odinson, god of Thunder and Lightning, future king of Asgard." Yep, definitely Norse. You could tell by the place. And the accent. "I am Loki Odison, brother to Thor and god of Mischief and Chaos." These guys probably know me and what I've done because Thor looked like a child who got given a puppy for Christmas.

Peter spoke up. "So Percy, want to have a little round on the Xbox? Its gonna be fun buddy." I shrugged. "Sure, why not? Got nothing else better to do." Walking over to the couch, I plopped my bag on the couch and grabbed the controller Pietro was using recently and began playing a fighting game against Peter.

After many minutes of battling it out, I defeated him and successfully became the winner. "Wow, you sure are pretty good. And not many people beat me at Xbox. You play a lot, Perce?" I shook my head in response. "Never played Xbox in my entire life. Or any electronic game at all. Probably just my reflexes."

Peter sat there, gaping at my statement. "I'm not sure what rock you've been living under, but for a teenager like you that has never played video games before, it must have been a pretty big one." We sat there laughing and talking for a bit, mostly him and being Spiderman, when he brought something up that related to my parents and, as a kid with ADHD, I got distracted easily.

Eventually I snapped out of my thoughts and asked Tony, "Do you have a pool here, Tony?" He left from his position by the bench in the kitchen and said, "Sure do, kid. Come on." Quickly, I grabbed my bag and waved back at Peter who returned the gesture and got busy playing with Clint who had a challenge in store for him.

Whilst walking down hallways with multiple doors, I noticed that Annabeth and Leo would be so jealous right now. Annabeth because I'm in an amazing building with amazing architecture, Leo because I was a nephew to his very own idol.

We entered the glass doors to the swimming pool. It was enormous compared to the pool I usually went to when I was younger. I placed my bag down on one of the many chairs on the side of the room and thanked Tony for taking me here. "No problem, kid." That name kinda bothered me. "Really Tony, you can just call me Percy."

He shrugged as if to say 'sure'. Not wanting to be on land any longer, I fetched my swimming clothes from my bag and hastily walked over to where the restrooms were. Just as I was passing by Tony, he stood whistling there, and that seemed pretty awkward, that is, until he pushed me into the pool, still whistling as if nothing happened.

This grants my wish, although, not in the way I expected it to be. You're in for it now Stark, two can play at that game. Using my powers, I willed the water to take me to the bottom of the pool and keep me breathing. With nothing to do but wait it out, I also got the water to break down the sound barrier so I could hear what went on up above.

As expected, I heard laughter billowing out from my uncle and judging from how hard he was laughing, he would be clutching his stomach by now. A minute later he stopped, possibly scanning the pool for my whereabouts since I should have come up by now.

After about five minutes, I could hear footsteps marching back and forth, still waiting. Minutes past and he decided that he should come after me. Perfect timing. I sat, waiting for when he got his swimming stuff on so I could reappear.

Before Tony leapt from his crouching position to dive in to 'rescue' me, I swam up to the surface rapidly and poked my head out of the water to say, "Comin' in too?" Startled by my voice and me appearing, Tony slipped and fell into the water, left with me cracking up. Seconds later, Tony swam towards the surface and said, "Not funny, kid. Not funny."

"I guess we're even now, right?" I asked whilst I still laughed. He chuckled. "Guess so." Together, we just splashed around, enjoying our time in the water. Slowly, one by one, each Avenger found their way towards the pool and decided to join in. When Peter came along, I thought about if he could come in because since he has spider instincts, he might not be able to come in.

Fortunately, that wasn't the case. Everyone was having so much fun, splashing around, swimming and trying to do synchronised swimming. Key word, trying. One time, I think Tony actually got water in his eyes. "Oh, come on guys, I wasn't ready!" We were having so much fun in there that we didn't notice that it was time for dinner. "Sir, dinner has been served." Jarvis alerted.

Eager to get food into our stomachs, we grabbed our clothes and scurried for the bathrooms. Well, most of us did. Peter and Tony were speed walking like kids since they didn't want to slip and fall because they were more eager than any of us to eat something. Looking at the crowd of Avengers, the guy's bathroom would be really crowded.

- Time skip to dinner. No way am I writing about guys changing in the same room. -

Dinner here was nothing I had ever had. Because there were so many of us, dinner was more of a feast than a regular sized one. Chicken, spaghetti, a veggie salad and a variety of other food that I'm not going to be bothered listing. Dinner was eventful, starting with Peter getting to the table first and stuffing as much food as he could into his mouth.

Looking around, I couldn't find what I was looking for. "No blue food?" They all looked at me as if I was a lunatic. "Why would you ask for blue food?" Pietro asked, making his accent clear. "My first step-dad, Gabe, told me that blue food didn't exist so my mom started making food that was blue. Whatever it was, cookies, cake, even bacon, you name it." That brought back memories but I pushed them away.

Jokes were exchanged, stories told, we reflected over what happened at the pool. I could feel Wanda looking at me, then gasping and clutching her head. Pietro comforted her, asking whats wrong. Obviously, she said nothing, but she stared at me, worriedly. Thor and Wanda exchanged glances, along with Loki. She peered into my head. Great. Three people in this tower who know.

Towards the end of dinner, the Avengers decided they might ask me some questions. I hope is that nothing about Olympus, the wars or the fact that I'm a demigod who's a son of Poseidon, gets out.

"So Percy, just for starters, what's your full name?" Steve queried. "Its Perseus Jackson but seriously, don't call me Perseus, just Percy is fine." He nodded, liking my answer. Next up was Tony. "How in the world did you stay underwater for so long? If you stayed  in there longer, I swear you would've broken the world record." I tensed at his question. Well, here's the first thing that comes to my mind. "I-uh, have lots of practice. I like to go in the water a lot."

Tony nodded slowly, with a curious and suspicious look written all over his face. "Who was your first dad?" I glanced to the right on the other side to see that Natasha was the one who asked. Oh god, how would I do this? Got it! "My first dad, he was, um, a sailor but he died at sea before I got to meet him. Then there was my former step-dad, Gabe Ugliano, or 'Smelly Gabe'. I mentioned him earlier. My mom forced him out because he couldn't even work for himself. Then there was Paul who-" I abruptly stopped, remembering everything I saw. Natasha looked puzzled, then her eyes widened in realisation. "The incident. It's okay Percy, you don't have to talk about it."

Breathing out a sigh of relief, I said, "It's okay, Natasha. Maybe if you let Tony explain, he could tell you all what happened. I'm gonna go to bed." I looked forward at the long hallway, then all the doors that lined it. "If I knew where it was, exactly." Tony stood up. "Its okay, kid, I'll show you." Smiling, I grabbed my bag and followed Tony to my room. Silence followed us until we reached my room. That's because of the gasp that escaped my throat.

The colour of the walls were blue, the bed was sea green like my eyes and there was a TV and desk there as well. A HUGE one. That's not the only thing that amazed me. What amazed me was that this room was even larger than my whole apartment.

I stood there speechless whilst Tony chuckled. "Might want to get used to it. Its life here. Just, try to get it off you're mind. And just ask Jarvis if you need something. Okay?" Nodding, he looked into my eyes before shutting the door. Dropping my bag beside my bed, I couldn't be bothered changing so I plopped into bed hoping for a dreamless sleep.

How wrong I was.

Third person POV
Tony walked back towards the Avengers who had packed up dinner already and were around the lounge room. "That kid is mysterious." Tony stated. Multiple heads nodded before he spoke once more. "When I looked into his eyes, they look dull, like he lost more than just his parents."

Steve spoke back. "I noticed during dinner. Sometimes he would play with his food and I saw his eyes like that too. I see that look in every soldier that goes through every war, but a kid his age couldn't have gone to war. He's a kid." Loki, Thor and Wanda looked at each other once more, and this time, the team noticed. Clint raised an eyebrow. "Anything about him that you know and you're not telling us about?"

Loki replied with, "That's a story for him to tell, not us." A silence broke out, soon to be broken by Sam. "We'll find out guys. Some secrets spill eventually, especially with clues everywhere." The team nodded before sitting down on the couches.

That is, before a scream erupted from a room down the hallway.

A/N Cliffhanger!!!! You all know who this is. Tell me anything I could improve on and any suggestions you want for the story, it would be a big help. Feedback is good either way so give any feedback you have, constructive feedback being one of the best. I need sentence starters, guys!!!
