Chapter 13

A/N That's basically everyone here! I think. I don't know, but I think most of us need some mental help.

Just as an experiment, every time I went on Wattpad to check on my other stories, I'd cover up the amount of views I'd got until I updated. Before I began writing up the chapter, I went to check and this is what basically happened:

I was very tired after playing some Capture the Flag and practising some of my powers, some swordplay and climbing the lava climbing wall. Booting up my demi-laptop, I decided to begin the chapter, but first check on my views. The second I clicked on "Create" and my stories came up, I fell backwards on my spinning chair, which also fell. Placing my hand on my desk, I lifted myself up a bit yelling, "How the Hades did I get over 11K views?! I only had 4.5K four weeks ago! Dam!"

That is some big change guys. Can't believe your actually reading this story. Anyway, I've been horrible for not posting for 4 weeks, so I'll make this as dramatic as possible. Enjoy!

Annabeth's POV

From the word spread around by other campers, a strange commotion involving monsters had started up at the top of Half - Blood Hill. Out of the corner of my eye, a blue blur passed by, wind blowing in my face as I saw Pietro arrive at Half - Blood Hill. Percy came to my side with Riptide uncapped, running alongside me as we ran up to Half - Blood Hill.

I could see from down here that there was dust flying around everywhere as monsters and demigods or Avengers charged into battle, the Avengers using celestial bronze weapons if they hadn't been made yet by the Hephaestus campers, Tony and Leo collaborating greatly from what I've heard.

"Why are all these monsters so close to Camp Half - Blood?" Percy questioned as we began running towards the battle. That's actually a really good question, especially for Seaweed Brain. At least he's getting a bit smarter. With his uncle Tony Stark, I think he'll manage to get rid of a bit more seaweed from his brain. The Avengers do have some really smart and intelligent people, they could help him. In more ways than one, obviously.

Anyway, possible answers. Hmm, well, the monsters could've been lured by some of the Avengers, since we have 2 Norse gods here, or our smell as usual. That's always the basic reason. Going deeper, it could also be a small army to try to weaken a few of our forces before the real battle. Even with new demigods coming through left and right, I'm not so sure that all of them are battle prepped.

Or maybe these monsters are a small fraction of the army that we were shown to see what we make of the forces being trained. Maybe the monsters wanted to gather some information whilst they were hear and weaken some of our forces. Either way, all reasons have a bad reason.

Percy had stayed quiet when he saw my thinking face on, and before I had any time to respond to his question, we were on the outskirts of Camp Half - Blood and in the battle zone.

Bruce had run over to the infirmary, already helping some wounded campers who were near the area. Now, I know that our enemies would always send a few monsters after us, but monster so close to camp and in larger numbers than usual was not something you just happen to come across.

Besides, all our enemies always seem to have this "planned time" to charge with all their forces, so an unexpected visit is something that is really unlikely. Campers were already coming down from there, injured or wounded, most of them new and younger campers that had joined us after the war when the gods finally decided to claim them.

Side by side, Percy and I immediately got our weapons out, my drakon bone sword in action with my knife in my sheath that was returned from . . . that place.

Percy stood by my side the whole time the battle raged around us, monsters bursting into clouds of gold dust as it showered down on the battlefield. Tony seemed to be having fun with a sword whist he waited for an idea for armour, although he did have some off-target swings and did often lightly cut another camper's body part.

Someone's got to teach him how to sword fight. And I'm not sure Percy being his first instructor would be a good idea. Well, I don't think anyone from the Ares cabin would be a good instructor for him either.

Jason had taken things into the air with some Furies, or Kindly Ones, and they seemed to be doing fine. Thalia was shooting down some of them from the ground, although it's obvious to a lot of people here why she wouldn't join her brother in the sky.

Some junior Hunters were shooting down the monsters from afar whilst some of the experienced Hunters had taken into the battlefield. Artemis required more Hunters after having lost some of them, and Thalia did an excellent job at recruiting, although they still needed training.

Whilst they were here, they would listen to the girls from the Athena and Ares cabins who were single, a possibility of listening to the girls from the Apollo cabin, yet they tried to avoid the Aphrodite cabin as much as possible. Love was just not their thing as everyone knows.

Piper had monsters under her charm speak as they commanded them to kill themselves or kill each other, some monsters showing they were fighting for control but Piper winning in the end. She'd occasionally charm speak a monster into allowing themselves to get killed by another camper which always worked, otherwise in moments where they were too close and she didn't have enough time to say anything, she'd grab Katoptris out and slash at the monster. They'd turn into dust and she just continued the process.

Leo had taken to using fireballs, careful not to burn anyone else or to singe anyone's clothes or hair, Calypso by his side. Yes, Calypso. She'd come on the back of Festus with Leo, who did earn a couple of punches in the face, and she'd been training a bit in the ways of using a weapon, a dagger one of the most obvious choices for her.

She was learning with Hazel about the modern world, but of course, she was learning slower than Hazel was. She was stuck on Ogygia for thousands of years, so naturally, many words spoken to her didn't make much sense. I remembered Percy telling me that after that enormous explosion of his, he landed in Ogygia where he met Calypso.

At first, Calypso and I didn't talk much, but after her stories of meeting Repair Boy, we've gotten along excellently. We'd occasionally talk about our boyfriends and how they can be complete idiots at times, but we get along well.

She'd swing her dagger around, managing to slash at some monsters, but mostly being protected by Leo's fireballs, Calypso taking a deep breath before continuing her routine. It was quite a shock to Percy when he saw Calypso, but he was grateful that she found someone to love rather than having to love hero after hero, yet having to watch them leave and have her heart broken bit by bit.

At least it managed to get mended by Leo, probably the last person I'd expect Calypso to fall for.

Frank and Hazel were working together with a variety of weapons, and sometimes it would be hard to tell who was using what.

Percy and I defended each other, Percy doing most of that whilst I attacked, of course not without a small strategy to take more than just one down. However, when Percy and I were in the middle of battle, a loud voice resounded across the battlefield, stopping all sounds of screams, roars, battle cries and metals clanging against each other.

"ENOUGH!" At the very top of Half - Blood Hill stood Polybotes, the giant born to hunt down Poseidon and any of his children, meaning Seaweed Brain. Wonder why he was sent here. Can't be for any good reason, like all the other reasons I'd put down.

It could be to get revenge on being killed by Percy and Terminus back at Camp Jupiter, or to simply help with slaughtering. The first option is more likely.

The monsters still alive weirdly stepped off to the sides, then disappeared into the forest as they ran away, some campers managing to kill a couple along the way. What's going on? They're definitely not acting normally and monsters aren't scared off Polybotes. Why do so many things in our lives not make any sense?

"Son of Neptune!" Polybotes yelled, many campers chilled whilst some of them showed fear in their eyes. What's Seaweed Brain done to get his attention this time? Whatever he's done can't be good, although that's just his nature.

"Hey, long time no see. How's it like being defeated again?" Percy questioned Polybotes as I kept mentally saying in my head, "Seaweed Brain. An absolute Seaweed Brain."

Polybotes grumbled before announcing, "As much as I wish to kill you, my father wishes to do so himself. Which is why I'm here."

Percy scoffed loudly at his declaration. His dad sent him here? That's not one of the first things I would expect our active enemy to be doing. "What? Your 'daddy' couldn't just come here and handle his own business himself? He sounds pretty scared if you ask me," Seaweed Brain remarked sassily, being the clever "Persassius Jacksasson" that the Stolls nicknamed him. His level of sass did not ware off after that.

With those words, Polybotes growled, "Do not push my limit any further, Son of Neptune! It's taking most of my will to restrain from killing you, especially after what you did to my mother. I come with a message."

The campers and Avengers whispered amongst themselves about what this message could be. Normally, messages could be helpful, especially if it came from enemies, but they always had a bad side to it.

This is getting weirder. You don't just send your son, the one person who wants to kill Poseidon or Neptune and his offspring, out to a camp for half-bloods to deliver a dam message! I wonder if some evil titans, giants or monsters even deliver a few messages hand-written, because I've had enough of monsters personally coming and going as they please delivering death threats.

Polybotes sighed, a growl escaping his throat at the same time. A weird sound to make. "I personally wished to simply kill them, yet my father seemed to know better. Whatever keeps you in more pain would do me good."

He fiddled with his weapon, possibly imagining many ways to kill Percy with it, even if he wasn't supposed to. "They did put up quite a fight when our monsters went to retrieve them, but the empousai did their job well, especially when they turned into them. Impersonating being dead isn't such a hard task," Polybotes informed in a monotone, fiddling with his weapon more as he eyed Percy with bloodlust.

What does he mean? Okay, let me gather the clues. They put up a fight, the empousai turned into these people, they impersonated being dead . . . it can't be! Percy told me detail after detail. However, it's the only other theory there could be. No other meaning could make sense or mean anything to Percy.

Polybotes had glanced at me at the fact that I'd realised something. "Yes, Daughter of Athena, you are correct."

Percy couldn't take this. I'm not sure how Tony would take it, but I know that Percy would not be able to live with himself knowing he could've saved them only if he'd been fast enough. Although, the reason he used to believe was fake. He believed he wasn't fast enough to save them from their deaths. Instead, he wasn't fast enough to save them from utter torture.

"Son of Poseidon, as much as I despised the decision, my father wished it to be this way." The audience around us remained quiet as we waited for Polybotes to convey the message.

"Your parents are alive."

>>><<< (Question about my age below, please answer it, underlined question)

A/N So, what'd you guys think? Okay for not posting for four weeks? I'm a terrible demigod. Well, Chiron decided to send us to school, the Seven, Calypso, Thals, Nico and I. Believe me, I'm surprised that 10 demigods and a daughter of a Titan, even if she's now mortal, survived a week of high school. As expected, people flirted with us, mostly Percy and Annabeth, but we just gave rejections. Yep, harsh and savage demigods we are.

Me, well, thinking about joining the Hunters, I'm not sure.

Oh, just to see what you guys think, how old do you think I am? To those who I may have told my age to, no commenting on that. Yeah, some people I talk to say that my writing was something they thought was from someone else another age. Try and guess! If someone gets it right, I'll mention them in my next chapter, as well as their answer. If you don't, well, I'll leave a hint.

So, once again, thanks for so many views, tips and support! I'll edit the story when I'm done with it, and when that's done or whilst I'm doing that, I will probably end up making a sequel based on all of your support. Could be a continuous Avenger-Percy crossover, or I could make it so that those two crossover with another fandom. Your choice. I may include the Guardians of the Galaxy too.

See ya for another adventure!
