Saving the Savior
"How do you know Marvin has him?" Seán hissed as he quickly strode out of the pizza place, his knuckles turning white as he tightly clutched the phone in his hand and held it to his ear.
"H-he was working at the hospital, then Marvin just-he...god, I'm so worried about him." Chase whispered, sounding on the verge of tears as Seán bit his lip.
"Are you at the hospital?" Seán asked, already waving a hand to get a taxi to stop in front of him.
"Ye-yeah, I'm here with a friend of his." Chase stammered as Seán climbed into the taxi and told the driver the address, looking out the window to watch the world fly by him in a blur of color.
"Stay there, I'm on my way." Seán told Chase sternly before hanging up, running a hand through his hair in exasperation as he impatiently waited to arrive at the hospital.
"Here, thanks for getting me here quickly." Seán thanked the driver, handing him a large tip as he scrambled out of the taxi before running into the hospital.
"Chase!" Seán called out, the Irishman finding Chase and a raven haired doctor sitting on the bed in the room Seán used to occupy while Chase held a playing card in between his fingers.
"That sick twisted son of a bitch has Schneep, he could be doing anything to him right now." Chase growled as he stood up, Seán carefully taking the card from the male and examining it in his hand.
"I don't understand, I thought you were dying." The doctor spoke up as Seán flipped the card over in his hand to find a code on the back.
"Yeah, I thought so too. Surprise." Seán muttered sarcastically as he strode over to the computer Schneep kept in the corner of the room, glancing between the screen and the code as he began typing.
"Yes!" Seán exclaimed quietly as he broke through the code, a video popping up on the screen.
"How...how did you do that?" Chase spoke up, his voice filled with awe as Seán's fingers danced across the keyboard.
Seán didn't answer as he played the video, Marvin's face filling the screen.
"Hello Jackaboy, I see that you've found my first clue. Don't worry, I've made sure that the code is easy to break should you find it." Marvin started, a wild grin lighting up his face.
"Anywho, there's four cards to find, one for each suit. Find them all, I'll let your doctor go. If you don't...well, he'll be trying his own magic trick." Marvin laughed as he stepped away from the camera to reveal Schneep suspended over a tank filled with sharks leaping up to eat him.
"It's a trap, don't-"
Schneep broke off as a shark jumped up dangerously close to his foot, the German pulling his legs up closer to his chest.
"With each hour that passes, I'll lower the rope more and more. Thanks so much for watching, and I will see all you dudes...IN THE NEXT VIDEO!" Marvin yelled before ending the recording, the frame frozen to show Schneep's terrified expression.
"Marvin could be anywhere, and the background was black so we can't hunt him down without playing his little game." Seán scowled.
"I'm a doctor, I know what's best. I agree that although it may be dangerous, we need to find the other cards before Henrik..." the doctor trailed off as he shook his head in disbelief.
"What's your name?" Seán prompted the American male, his brown eyes meeting Seán's blue ones.
"My name is Doctor Iplier, I'm one of Henrik's coworkers." The male answered, glancing between Chase and Seán.
"Don't worry about Schneep, we'll find him." Chase assured Doctor Iplier as he stormed out of the room with a fierce look shining in his eyes, Seán quickly following after him.
"Where are you going?" Seán frowned as he grabbed Chase's shoulder, causing the male to stop in his tracks and look back at him.
"I can't just sit back and wait for you or someone else to find all of the cards, I have to do something." Chase pointed out angrily, pulling his shoulder free from Seán's grip.
"Wait-"
"The more we wait, the closer Schneep gets to death. You find what cards you can, I'll find the rest." Chase interrupted coldly before storming out of the hospital.
"Well then," Seán grumbled under his breath as he stood alone in the entrance of the hospital.
"I guess it's up to me, myself, and I to save the man who saved me."
