Louis wakes up with a shooting headache, groaning as memories from last night come to him. He groans and sits up, rubbing his eyes and winces when he realizes he's slept in his contacts. He lazily flips the covers off himself and goes into the bathroom.
He emerges with his glasses on and brushed hair, he really needs to get a haircut. He feels suffocated by his hair. He doesn't know how Harry does it with his thick hair.
"Louis?" Oh right, Harry stayed over last night.
Louis sighs and looks at Harry, who is sitting on the edge of his bed. This is an image Louis never thought he'd get a chance to see.
"Hey, um, Thank you." He tells Harry, "Really, you didn't have to do this." He says, sitting down next to him and swallowing tightly, "I'm sorry if I caused trouble, like, you know with Nick."
Harry shakes his head and looks at Louis with amusement in his eyes, "Louis, I don't care about that, I care about you, He tried to hurt you." He tells him, "I did have to do this, I had to make sure you got home safe, It was no trouble at all."
Louis looks at Harry and smiles tightly, "Thank you, so much." He says gratefully. He wants to kiss him, but he refrains himself. Louis is just happy he's safe, with him.
Harry nods, "Of course, Louis, now, let's get you something to eat." He grins, getting off of the bed and leading Louis into the small spaced kitchen.
"You didn't have to do this." Louis says, eyes wide; Could Harry get any more dreamy than this? A handsome hero who knows how to cook? Louis finds him more endearing everytime he speaks to him.
"Just say thank you and eat it, babe." Harry rolls his eyes as Louis sighs defeatedly and sits at the table, gazing at the food in front of him. Bacon, eggs, sausage, and hash-browns. Louis doesn't particularly like hash-browns, at all really.
"I don't like hashbrowns." Louis says, looking to Harry guiltily. Harry gives him a confused look. Louis knows he's wondering why they were in Louis's freezer if he doesn't like the food. "Those are here for whenever Liam comes over." He explains carefully.
Harry's face hardens at the mention of Liam's name and he sits next to Louis, using his own fork to scoop some into his mouth as if to say; I'll eat them.
Louis frowns at the tension that fills the air. He doesn't understand why Harry gets so jealous. Well, to be fair he's only seen Harry appear to be jealous of their relationship, so he knows he can't pin the thought on him. Still, it seems Harry doesn't very much like Liam.
"Do you not like Liam?" Louis asks, not refraining as he takes a bite of bacon, eyes looking to Harry for a response.
Harry shrugs, "I have no reason to dislike him, do I?"
"What's that supposed to mean?" Louis ponders, taking a sip of the glass of water Harry had set out for him.
"He doesn't like you, does he?" Harry asks, scooping up a few bites of egg into his mouth.
Louis laughs, rolling his eyes at the ridiculous question, "No, absolutely not, he's not, I swear." He tells Harry, "I have no clue why you would think he is into me."
Harry shrugs and drinks some of his own water, "I see him looking at your ass a-lot."
Louis almost chokes on the piece of bacon he's eating, furrowing his eyebrows at Harry's remark, "No, no way he is." He laughs, "He's so not into me, would you stop?"
Harry hums, "With a piece like that, I guess every guy is staring." He comments.
"Is that supposed to be a compliment?" Louis snaps, Harry is sort of pissing him off, "You think it flatters me knowing that guys are staring me down like a piece of meat? The same shit that got me into the position I was in last night?" He hisses, "You're unbelievable."
Harry scoffs, "Don't be so uptight, Louis, I wasn't being serious."
"Can you just leave, please? I don't want to talk to you right now." He tells Harry, "I'm getting in the shower and I want you gone when I get out."
Harry stares at Louis in disbelief as he stunts off back into his bed room, petite arms crossed over his chest angrily. "Jesus." He mutters to himself as he stands up, taking the plates to the sink. He'll leave as soon as he's done with the dishes.

"God Liam, he made me so, so angry." Louis rants to his best friend, they are face-timing. Louis had texted him almost immediately after he checked for Harry to be gone.
"Yeah, that wasn't a smart thing to say." Liam agrees, "But are you going to do something, you know, about Nick?"
Louis bites his lips and shakes his head, "I don't know, I mean, nothing happened?"
"He still drugged you, Lou." Liam says in a scolding tone, "I really think you should do something about it."
"And what, Li? Get both of us busted for drinking and being out past town curfew?" Louis asks, "No way."
Liam hums, "I didn't think about that," He mutters, "I don't know, I just don't want him to get away with trying to hurt you, babe."
"I know, me neither, and what if he does it to someone else? Someone who isn't lucky enough to have someone save them in time." Louis says, almost talking himself into it.
"Think about it, okay? I'll support you either way, and I'm sure Harry will too." He tells Louis assuringly.
"Yeah, okay, I will."
"So, how are you doing, like with your mom?" Liam asks him hesitantly, but Louis knows its only because he doesn't want to make him uncomfortable by bringing it up.
"It's fine." He's lying, he sees her everyday, His therapist had said before that it was a way of coping with it. Louis doesn't think he'll ever be able to properly cope.
"You haven't seen her, have you?" Liam carries on, determining to make sure Louis is actually okay.
"No, not since the new medicine." He answers carefully, "I'm doing okay, Li."
"Are you-"
"Hey, listen, I'll call you back, I need to call Aunt Gloria." He says suddenly, "Bye!" He ends the call before Liam can say another word, the guilt sunken into his chest.
He isn't lying though, he dials his Aunt almost as soon as he gets off the phone with Liam.
"Hey, sweetheart!" She answers, "Everything alright?"
Louis smiles, "Yes, just wanted to see how it's going, thats all." He misses her, he wishes she would come back home. She had to fly out to Paris to organize a wedding for a high-known couple. He had begged her to take him, but unfortunately she decided it was important for him to stay and go to school.
"It's stressful." She admits, "The bride reached out to me and wanted to go over the details I had organized, turns out she wasn't very happy with some of them, so I'm having to figure that mess out with only three weeks left of time!"
Louis listens to her rant about her job as he stares up at the ceiling, occasionally offering some type of neutral advice.
"So anyways, enough about me, everything good there, Boo?" Gloria asks, Louis hears some shuffling on the other side of the phone, he assumes she's attempting to work and talk at the same time.
"Um, yeah." He says, he wants to tell her about Nick, how Harry saved him, brought him home. He really wants to, but instead he lets himself coward out of it.
"Yeah, I think, I think I like someone." He tells her, "He's really nice."
"Oh? Do I get to meet this lad?" She inquires, "Whats his name?"
"His name is Harry." He tells her, "He only recently started paying attention to me...." Louis continues on to tell her how amazing he is, he also tells her about the rude comment he made earlier. He manages all of this without letting her know anything about what happened with Nick.
"Well, he sounds nice." She says, "But no that wasn't a great thing for him to say, but you know, sometimes men say dumb things like that." She tries to make the situation mend, "I'm sure he knows his mistake, if he likes, and respects you he will make sure to say sorry."
Louis smiles, "Thanks, Auntie." He says softly, "I love you."
"I love you too." She says, "Now, have you given any thought to what we talked about last time we spoke?"
Louis sighs, "I like my job, though." He mumbles, "I know it seems terrible, but I don't want to get a job somewhere else."
"Louis, it's killing you to work there." She says softly, "It's not good for you, you need to help yourself move past it, love."
"Move past it?" Louis asks, "I don't want to move past it, okay? I don't want to." His eyes are watering slightly, "I miss them, Gloria, I feel close to them there."
"But being there is reminding you constantly of the pain, Lou, you don't need to be so hard on yourself baby, they would want you to move on." She comforts gently, "You deserve to be happy, yeah?"
"Yeah." Louis says, wiping his tears from his cheeks, sniffing a little, "I know you're right, maybe when you get back you can go with me to apply other places?"
"Of course, sweetheart." She coos, "Now go clean over the plots before it gets dark, okay?"
"Okay." He says, "I'll go get dressed now." He says timidly, "I'll talk to you soon, love you."
"Love you too, bye doll face." She says and suddenly the call is ended, leaving Louis to go get ready for a long day.
