The news that Draco Malfoy was going out with his long-term enemy, the Muggleborn Hermione Granger, caused a great stir in the community of Hogwarts. Professor Dumbledore was half-thrilled, half-concerned, the four heads of houses were delighted, and both Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff were over the moon that the school could finally unite. Ironically, only Gryffindor and Slytherin couldn't get over it. However, Draco and Hermione were mostly safe, as they were sixth-years and, to top it all, Prefects, so no-one younger could touch them. Despite this, there were still several people who could potentially harm them. Pansy was exceptionally jealous that Draco had gone for a Mudblood after six years of knowing her, of all people. There was also Millicent Bulstrode, Tracey Davis and Theodore Nott, who Draco had briefly bonded with the year before, but never again. And Ron, of course. He was perhaps the most dangerous of them all.
However, Ron was currently in the Hospital Wing with Smith, recovering his memory, so the biggest threat was momentarily gone. So Hermione and Draco enjoyed their time together, basking by the lake in the glorious sunlight, and spending their free periods together at a table at the back of the library. They ran The Avengers as a united front, and enjoyed planning their next moves to properly integrate the school.
"What about using each other's common rooms?" Draco asked one night as they sat in the kitchens, Hermione often watching the House Elves to see if they were doing alright, and possibly to check if any of them were wearing her hats. "I've always wanted to see if the other common rooms were warmer than Slytherin's."
"That's a good idea," Hermione mused, jotting it down. Draco had bought her a personalised notebook for Valentine's Day as a symbol of their one-week anniversary. It bore the words: 'My Know-It-All' and Hermione used it often. "I've always wanted to see the Ravenclaw one. All those books..."
Draco snapped his fingers to bring her out of reverie.
"We could try it tomorrow," he suggested. "After the match. After all, we've already done the whole 'consorting at other House's tables' thing. Why don't half The Avengers go to Hufflepuff, and half to Ravenclaw, to either console them or celebrate with them after the match?"
"Brilliant!" Hermione exclaimed. "We must tell the others." She made to stand and Draco guided her back down.
"Hermione, it's past curfew," he whispered, grinning.
"Ohh," was all she said. "Disillusionment Charms?"
"You betcha!" Draco replied. Hermione smiled broadly.
"You got that off me, didn't you?"
"Muggle sayings will always rub off on me when you're around."
Minutes later they were running down the corridors, holding hands, and barely suppressing squeals of joy.
"I wish we could do this more often," Hermione gasped, as they reached the Fat Lady's portrait.
"Who's there?" The latter questioned suspiciously, peering into the settling gloom.
"We can do it more often, 'Mione," Draco answered. "Just as long as nobody catches us." He planted a kiss on her proferred hand, and began walking away.
"Somebody will catch you," the Fat Lady huffed as Hermione gabbled the latest password, "what with all the squealing."
Hermione just grinned, and when she got into bed, she dreamt of a certain ferret. Her ferret.

A.N. Someone's in love! Dramione has finally made its appearance!
This is dedicated to Skarly_Cyan, if she reads it, or not. Either way, a nice person who reads some stuff I write and forms The Trio with JKRHero and I. Be friendly, and it might become a quartet!
For your information, I have a thing about Disillusionment Charms, just in case anybody remembers seeing them lately in any of my other works. If not, read them to find out. XD
Thank you for reading, if you still do, and remember: COMMENTS MAKE MY DAYS, MY WEEKS, MY YEAR, MY LIF_ You get the picture.
