(Shuichi's POV)

   I shift in my chair. Kokichi isn't here yet. Maybe Kokichi got one of those videos too? Although I still don't know why I got Kaito's.

   "Hey Shuichi, how come you didn't answer when I came by for training?" Kaito asks me.

   That's right, I had training with Kaito. I was with Kokichi at the time. "Oh, sorry, I was really tired last night. I was probably asleep when you came by." I lie.

   "Oh, okay then, I was worried you were... you know." 

   "Yeah, sorry for the scare, I'll remember not to fall asleep too early tonight." 

   "Okay." He smiles before leaving. 

   "H-Hey Shuichi." I look to the right of me to see Kokichi. He's smiling and his face is really red.

   "Hey Kokichi, did you run here or something?" I ask.

   "No, why?"

   "Your face is really red."

   "Oh, I-I't is?" He stutters.

   "Are you alright? Also what took you so long?" I question him.

   "Yeah, I'm fine. I just got some panta real quick."

   "Wheres your panta?" I look at his empty hands.

   "Oh, uh, what are the others talking about right now?" Kokichi asks.

   "I don't know, I haven't really been listening." I look at the rest of the group in the middle of a conversation.

   "So how come we didn't get our own?" Miu asks.

   "I don't know but it's probably better that we didn't. If these are motive videos, then I think it's better that we didn't get our own motive." Tsumugi says.

   I turn to Kokichi. "Did you get one? Apparently nobody got their own."

   "Nobody... got... their... own?" He asks.

   "Well, yeah." I answer.

   "Yeah I got someone's." Kokichi says.

   "Wasn't it weird that nobody got their own? If this is a motive I would think Monokuma would have made sure everyone got their own, unless it was intentional that everyone would get the wrong one..." I look at kokichi. He's staring at the floor. "What's on your mind?"

   He looks up and smiles. "I'm glad, you must be comfortable around me to think aloud. It's nice not having to guess what your thinking." He frowns.

   "Something wrong?" I ask.

   "It's nothing but..." Kokichi puts his hand on my arms. "Whatever you do, don't let me kill someone."

   "What?" Was Kokichi considering murdering someone?

   "Don't worry, I'm not actually considering it. But if I ever do, just remind me of this conversation, right here."

   "What's this all of a sudden?" I ask confused.

   Kokichi walks behind me and whispers, "Some of us did receive our own motive." My eyes widen. Did Kokichi...?

   "Let's finish breakfast." Kokichi is smiling again. That was obviously a Que to act normal. We eat breakfast together. The whole time I'm thinking about our conversation. Did Kokichi get his own motive video? If so, what was in it? Kokichi certainly seemed shaken when he entered the dining hall. He must of tried to hide it. The curiosity of what could have possibly been in the video tugged at me all throughout breakfast.

   I'm so wrapped up in my thoughts that I don't notice Kokichi leave. I go to his room and knock on his door. Theres no answer. I should probably go... Kokichi's video must be here. But I really shouldn't snoop... Curiosity gets the best of me.

   I open his door which surprisingly, is unlocked. He must have been in a hurry this morning if he forgot to lock his door. I walk in the room and look for the video. After a couple minutes of searching I find it on the floor in the corner of the room. As I pick it up, I notice theres a big crack in the screen. Did Kokichi try smashing or throwing this? If so, why? 

   I turn the monopad on. The beginning of the video is similar to Kaito's motive video but the rest is very different. Monokuma talks about Kokichi's group of tricksters known as dice that Kokichi leads and how they are the most important people in his life. He tells me that there is a tragedy that will soon befall Kokichi's group. The screen then fades to black. Wow, this group must have been important to Kokichi if they could make him act like that. 

   As I'm about to leave the screen comes to life again. Monokuma pops up telling me that the video had to be edited due to changes. Changes? The video starts over. It starts the same way as the previous one. Everything is the same until Monokuma mentions the most important person to Kokichi. A person very close to Kokichi. Me. I nearly drop the monopad in surprise. I was the reason Kokichi was acting strange? I was the reason Kokichi had that weird conversation with me? I had watched his motive video hoping to make sense of that conversation, but now I was more confused then ever. I didn't realize the effect that I had on Kokichi. I originally thought Kokichi was toying with me when he kissed me, does this mean he was being genuine? None of it makes any sense.

   I leave Kokichi's room still confused. I wander around the academy aimlessly, not knowing what else to do. While outside I see Kokichi. "Hey Kokichi!" 

   "Oh, hey Shuichi." He approaches me. "I was actually just looking for you."

   "Really?"

   "Yeah, and we need to talk."

   "Talk?" I ask confused.

   "I-I shouldn't be around you anymore. For reasons."

   "Reasons?" I feel my heart drop.

   "Yes and I can't explain it right now but I-" 

   "Is this about your motive video?" I interrupt him.

   "It's... one of the reasons." He looks at the ground.

   "Why can't you just tell me whats wrong?"

   "Because it's dangerous! Alright? You can't get involved because you'd hold me back." he sighs.

   "How would I hold you back?" I ask.

   He's silent for a moment. "I have something to admit. I... I didn't have the best childhood. Through experience I've learned how to hide emotions and put on a poker face, but being around you makes it harder for me to hide my emotions."

   "Is that a bad thing?" I say tears welling up in my eyes.

  "Well, in this situation, it is." Kokichi looks away from me.

   "Look at me." I demand.

   "I can't."

   "Why not?"

   "You're weakening my resolution." he says. Weakening resolution huh? Maybe I can convince him, but how?

   "Okay, maybe you have your reasons for not being around me, but I have reasons you should."

   "Like what?" Kokichi asks still looking away from me. I grab his head and turn it towards me. I lean in and kiss him. He's surprised at first but kisses back. Eventually we stop. Kokichi blushes. "Guess that is a pretty solid reason."

   "So does that mean you won't stop being around me?" I ask hopefully.

   "Alright, but you have to understand that there are some things I can't share with you." Kokichi grins. "Besides, I think I might die of boredom without you." Kokichi sighs and gets serious. "And theres one thing you have to promise me."

   "What is it?"

   "You have to promise me that you won't do anything that would potentially put you in danger."

   "Alright."

   Kokichi shakes his head. "No, promise."

   "Okay, I promise I won't do anything that could potentially harm myself." I vow.

   He smiles. "Good." I walk back to my room thinking of Kokichi the whole way.
