Chapter 7
Sorry for not updating this for a while Maria, but you're getting the next update at last!(I've been really busy as of late, so sorry for not updating this little story sooner)Anyway, here's the next chapter, hope you enjoy it darling! : )
Orianna's head throbbed as she sat up blearily. Had the whole events of the day been some sort of horrible nightmare? She hoped to god that the events of the day had been nothing but a dream, and nothing more. Maybe she was waking up in her own bed in her room(however cramped it was with her two annoying sisters that she had to share it with), and her mom would be cooking breakfast, and after she watched some TV (Either Grim adventures of Billy and Mandy, or Pacman and The Ghostly Adventures, she didn't really care as she was into watching both of those shows lately), then maybe she'd call Maria, to laugh about the crazy dream that Orianna had......(probably a result of watching too many terrible, yet somehow strangely terrifying, exploitation horror films during the night. But why the insanely creepy twisted version of Bendy that had been chasing her? But at least the dream had a nice bit with Orianna getting to meet Dante. She blushed a little, thinking about that part.....)
As she blearily looked around, Orianna tried to stand up.....
Her head bumped against something cold and metal, making her gasp at the sudden pain. Wait, where was she? Was she..... In some sort of cage? But why would she be in a cage? Her blurry vision slowly came into focus as she took in her surroundings, now clearly seeing for the first time where she was actually:
Orianna's mind whirled furiously. So it wasn't a dream after all, she realized with sickening clarity. But if she was here, and this wasn't a dream, Orianna thought, then that meant everything had actually happened over the day, instead of being a horrible, god awful dream, the result of an overload on cartoons.(as she had previously hoped. But apparently she wasn't going to get what she wanted, as per usual... So why would she get her wish now?) And if that meant that she was here, in this cage, with this being all real, that would mean.....
"No....." The sound barely escaped her lips before an all too horrifyingly farmilliar, lusty purr of a voice spoke.
"Ah good. I was beginnin' to think you'd never wake up, princess." Orianna's eyes narrowed. Okay, who was calling her princess? It didn't matter that she was in a cage right now, she'd soon give them one hell of a talking to! Because if anything, she was nobody's princess....
Out of the corner of her eye, she soon spied a very familiar figure.
Dante. Yes, it was him, in all of his smarmy glory, casually leaning against the wall of the small room barely a few feet away from Orianna's cage. She'd probably be gushing over him right now if not for the most annoying shit-eating grin spread across his handsome features, looking at her as if she was a delicious steak, slaughtered in gravy. It's like he wants to eat me up... :a terrified corner of her mind whispered, but she shook it off.
He continued. "I've gotta say it's been a while since us folks down here have had visitors-" Orianna cut him off.
"Look, as much as I love the whole villain monologue trope, I really don't have the time for this! I currently need to get the fuck out of here, so could you open this cage and let me out, please?"
Dante looked taken aback for a moment, before he burst out laughing, much to Orianna's surprise. She'd have though he'd get pissed off, but why was he laughing? And it was the same dark chuckle that was often heard when he had someone right where he needed them to be, with little to no hope of the poor soul escaping....
After a moment he spoke. "Oh sugar, 'fraid I can't exactly do that."
"What? Why not?" Orianna became all too aware of the high pitch her voice had taken on when she had spoke the word why.
"Well my dear, we few uncorrupted 'toons don't take too kindly to trespassers in Undertown, and especially trespassers who turned on the ink machine and unleashed the ink demon again, after we tried so hard to shut off that blasted thing in the first place...." His eyes narrowed, and he glared at Orianna with a kind of malice, his long tail swishing furiously along the rough ground.
"But I didn't- I mean I didn't mean-" Great, she was babbling. But she couldn't help it, her anxiety was acting up something fierce!
"Save it girlie, because-" Whatever Dante had been about to say was cut off by a sharp knock at the door, and a couple of voices-however muffled- speaking over each other. Seemingly recognizing the voices Dante groaned aloud, then stomped over to the door. Orianna tried to turn around, interested in seeing what was going on, but she couldn't exactly do it. For one, the cage wasn't exactly that big enough to turn around without bumping into the walls every so often. So, she ended listening to the whole scene instead.
The door creaked open. "Ya got the girl Mista D?" Orianna recognized Edgar's voice almost instantly. The Butcher gang was here?
" 'Course he did you sack of nuts! Who 'dya think helped him out?" Okay, that was definitely Charlie, the titular leader of the Butcher gang.
(Okay, so that left the other one, some old sailor guy who's name she couldn't remember. Something to do with a grain?)"Yeah, but that's 'cause we got stuck on patrol duty. If we'd been there-"
Dante's voice cut them off. "Enough! Now what are you three idiots doing here?"
Orianna could hear all three of the Butcher gang shift their feet nervously.
"Well your eminence, we was just wonderin' if that since the intruder was found, we could have a little fun with her.... if you know what I mean." The other two Butcher gang members snickered.
"Of course, we didn't get to do anythin' to the other guy who was here last, so with a broad a beautiful as that...." Charlie let out a dark chuckle, and Orianna's blood ran cold. They couldn't mean.... Could they?
Dante stood silent for a moment before he spoke. "You'll be havin' nobody!" Did she detect a hint of jealousy in his voice? Maybe even.... horror at what the Butcher gang had been suggesting? But that was impossible, right? He was the on who'd locked her up after all. Just as soon as his tone had changed, he quickly regained himself. "And after your past blunders the girl will stay here with me, until I can find a use for her..... Now all three of you go 'n patrol the area again, there's rumors of the Twisted lurkin'..." And with that, he slammed the door.
Oriana stood there frozen in place with shock unsure entirely of what just happened, until Dante came stomping back over to her field of vision, clearly not in a good mood.
After a moment Orianna dared to speak. "What did you mean by "use me"?
"Oh you'll see..." Dante gave a little chuckle himself, clearly amused.
"Oh really? Guess you'll have to see if I'm still here for your grand plan then!"
Dante chuckled again. "Oh you're plannin' on escaping doll?" Orianna stood silent. " 'Cause if you are just remember this...."
His face practically an inch away from the bars of her cage, he spoke the next sentence in a dark whisper. "If you leave this little town where I rule, you'll be at the mercy of whatever's out there. And trust me.... they ain't as nice as me."
He then turned away from Orianna. "Now sleep well darlin' you've got a busy day tomorrow..."
Eventually, Orianna heard the click of the door closing, leaving her completely alone in the eerily lit room.
Wow, she thought bitterly: Who knew her favorite character was such a jerk?
Well I'm finally done beasties! Hope you enjoyed it Maria!(Next chapter will feature her and Bendy.)
Anyway, I'll see you soon beasties.....
