How you meet : Wally Franks
Wally Franks
April 14, 1941
Covered in ink from head to toe, you angrily trudged your way to Joey's office. Yet another explosion of ink, souring everyone's mood in the recording room.
In single file, each grumpy musician left the room with heavy hearts and a sense of dread. Everyone would have to replace their instruments yet again since the ink had probably soaked up and destroyed every last one of them. You were growing more and more fed up with the work conditions and the lack of pay in this company, and you were quitting at last.
Rearing yourself to the left, you found yourself in an empty hallway all lined up with rotting Bendy postered splattered with ink. It felt reminiscent of the history of this company. What was once an innocent passion to make masses of people entertained with a lovely cartoon turned to a hellish and inky nightmare that never ended. Even more determined than before, your narrowed eyes set on the front door to Joey's office.
You were so close now, so close to leaving this place in the past. That was until your body slammed against someone else's, both of you toppling to the ground.
"Oh my goodness! I am so sorry!" you exclaimed, scurrying to help the other employee up while ignoring the dull ache on your sides and head. The impact took a toll on you both, it seemed.
"Watch it!" the man snapped at you, moving back to fix his own clothes. You felt incredibly bad for the inconvenience and your mind frantically thought of ways to make it up to the poor man.
"Again, I completely apologize," you repeated once more, Joey's office completely forgotten now. "What can I do to make it up to you?"
The man shook his head with a chuckle, implying his surprise at the offer since it really was no big deal. The thought was still appreciated though.
"I guess a chocolate cake and a cup of coffee will do just fine," he said with a cheeky grin. You could sense from him a hint of mischievous excitement. You weren't sure exactly why, but you decided not to question it. After all, you had literally just run into the man.
You nodded with a cheery smile. "Then I guess that's a plan," you firmly replied.
Now what?
He shifted his feet, feeling the awkward tension arise between the two of you. You had wondered when he wanted the treats and if he was actually being serious about everything he said. He, on the other hand, was wondering when you were free to go to the cafe nearby to get said treats. Perhaps a date was what he was thinking of. After all, you were kinda cute.
What was he saying?
Oh well. He didn't get his mischievous reputation for nothing.
"There's a cafe nearby with the best chocolate cake in the world," he hinted to you at first, but you only nodded with an awkwardly shy smile. He let out a sigh. Oh dear. What an oblivious person you were.
He flashed a charming smile, bowing dramatically before offering his arm to you.
"What do ya say? Wanna get outta here?"
Oh, Wally Franks. Quite the charmer.
