Prolog 𓂀
Mexico, 1959
Indiana Jones ran through the crumbling Aztec pyramid, his son Ben followed closely behind him.
They emerged from the pyramid with their bags loaded with Aztec gold and artifacts, and most importantly their lives. The assistant they'd brought with them had accidentally activated a boobytrap that caused the interior of the pyramid to collapse. Unfortunately, the assistant didn't make it out alive.
The duo stood there, catching their breaths for a moment.
"We should stop bringing anyone else with us," Ben said between heavy breaths.
Indiana nodded in agreement. "They always seem to get us into trouble."
"At least we got what we came for, do you think this will be enough to pay for our trip to Egypt?" Ben asked hopefully, he had always dreamt of going to Egypt...seeing the old pyramids and Sphinxes. He'd traveled the world with his father, but Egypt was one of the few places he hadn't been yet and it was one of the places he wanted to go the most. Maybe it was because of his father's stories about the lost arc and the holy grail, or maybe it was because of the strange dreams that had filled his sleep for the past few years.
Indiana made a dismissive gesture. "More than enough."
Ben smiled. "Great, let's go! The quicker we leave Mexico the quicker we can get to Egypt."
"So we hurry up and leave this pyramid..." Indiana gestured to the ancient structure behind him. ".... so that we can go to another pyramid?"
"It's not the same, dad."
Indiana chuckled slightly. "I know, kid."
