Ben groaned as he sat up rubbing his aching back, looking around he saw he was in a forest. "Great, bet I was teleported into another universe" he said sitting up.

"Better see if the multiversal communicator function works" he said activating the Omnitrix. Just then he heard a large group talking, looking up he saw some rocks falling down. "What is going on up there?" He asked before hearing a girl screaming.

Ben turned into Jet Ray and flew up to see what was wrong, when he did he saw thousands of soldiers surrounding two people at the edge of the cliff. The two were a girl with red hair and a downed man with black hair in blue robes with a spear next to him. In addition he had several arrows in his back.

"Surrender right now and your death will be swift and painless" one soldier said as the woman looked terrified beyon beyond belief. "Please... no..." she whimpered, but before anything could happen a green energy beam was shot between them.

"Sorry! But you are not laying a hand on her" Jet Ray yelled before flying down then turned into Chromastone. "CHROMASTONE!!!", startled and shocked by the creature's sudden transformation the men had charged him out of fear. Only for Ben to smirk and simply block the oncoming swords with his crystalline skin.

"What is it!" A few yelled "I think you should all see the light of what you are doing!" The silicon based life form said before releasing a powerful burst of rainbow colored energy. Making all the men fly in several directions, "are you okay!" Chromastone asked turning his attention to the two.

She looked scared "um..." she quivered not sure what Ben was. "You don't need to fear, I mean you no harm" the alien assures as he noticed the man twitching. "Are you okay sir?" He asked, "no... the damn bastards poisoned the arrow tips" the person groaned. "Oh no Hak!" The girl cried rushing to his side, at the same time Ben turned back.

The man noticed the soldiers picking themselves up then grabbed his wrist "please... I'm not going to last much longer... take princess Yona... and get her someplace safe..." the man said. He then attempted to stand, using his spear to hold him up, "Hak no please!" The girl now designated as Yona pleaded.

"I'm sorry Princess... but it's the end of my road... now go!" A green flash later and Ben was currently XLR8. "Sorry Princess but you heard the man" he said before pulling her onto his back. And after sped away with the princess crying the whole time.

Later on they had stopped at the bottom of the Cliff Ben arrived in, there was a cave near there. "It looks like we're safe... for now at least" he said, he heard the Girl sniffling 'I feel bad, she must really care about that man' he thought.

"I can't believe it... he said he would always stand by me" she said crying, Ben then took off his jacket and gave it to her. "It's gonna get cold soon, you'll need to stay warm" he said, she looked at the clothing... and then back at him.

"Thank you" She said as the two sat down, Ben had turned into Swampfire and made a small fire. For most of the night it was an awkward silence between the two. Until the hero spoke up "if you could, I want to know what exactly was going on up there. I want to help you in anyway I can" he said.

Yona stared into the flames, and then told him her story. She had been a princess of a great kingdom until her cousin who she loved had killed her father. And right after drove the princess out of her own home and assumed power.

Her childhood friend and fiancé Hak had rescued her, they were leaving the territory of the castle until soldiers attacked them to take Yona back as prisoner. "And that's when you showed up" she said, "I am so sorry that had to happen to you" Ben replied.

The girl just stared into the fire some more, "why did he tell me to leave... he said he would stand by me but he..." she said before stopping. "Yona was it? I know Hak said he would protect you. But even the strongest warrior knows when he's at the end of his life" Ben said as she looked at him.

"Having been shot at and poisoned at the same time, maybe Hak felt he couldn't protect you as much as he was able before. Before we ran he told me to get you someplace far away and keep you safe" he added on. "He sacrificed his life to save yours, so I'll honor it by keeping that promise" he said moving to Yona "Princess Yona, I promise to always keep you safe" he said.

She was stunned at what he said "thank you... you hardly know me yet you're willing to protect me with your life" she said. "I am a hero, it's what I do" Ben replied, she stared at him for a long time. Then a flash of light emanates from outside, looking out both saw lightning and rain.

"It's a good thing we're in here and dry and not outside and wet" Ben said, Yona shifted uncomfortably. "Um... sorry but what's your name?" Yona asked, "Ben Tennyson" he answered. "Thanks... Ben... if you wouldn't mind, is it okay if... I slept next to?" She easked.

Then scooted over next to him leaning her head on his shoulder, he nodded and she fell into sleep. 'With all she's been through... I'm not surprised she's tired' he thought as he to started to sleep.
