Far from Earth´s orbit

The Chimerean Hammer Mk.V

Orbiting far from Earth was a large orangish ship that had a rifle-like appearance, its front had a large tuning fork that both points were vertical of each other, a constant stream of red electricity going in between them, and tipped with red glass orbs. The helm was atop the rear of the ship and the thruster was at the rear and claw-like in appearance, there were several orange orbs or large rounded tubes across the ship appearing to direct power around the ship.

This gigantic warship was the pride of the Chimerian fleet from the planet Vilgaxia, home of the squid-like humanoid alien species, the Chimeria Sui Generis. And this ship belonged to the most feared & dangerous conqueror of the universe, Vilgax.

Inside the ship

Black and orange humanoid drones were racing down the hall as they responded to the alarm and opened fire with lasers at an intruder. The intruder was a yellow segmented sphere that was barreling down the halls of the Hammer knocking and running over several of the drones destroying them, as the sphere rounded a corner it uncurled to show a hulking, broad-shouldered alien covered in natural, yellow armor plating with black markings on its back, shoulders, and the backs of his arms, its mostly white with black on his upper half, has four claws on both of his hands, and on the chest was a green hourglass symbol.

¨Ha, Stee-rike¨! Shouted the creature. ¨Cannonbolt wins the game¨.

The symbol on the creature named Cannonbolt started to beep and in a flash of green light, there stood a new individual.

This individual was Ben Tennyson, or simply known to the universe as Ben 10, the savior of the universe. He was a caucasian male, 17 years of age, had brown shaggy hair, pale skin, green eyes, and a lean yet athletic build of average height. He wore a black and green-striped shirt with the number 10 on the chest, a pair of brown cargo pants, white and green shoes, and finally a white & green wristwatch on his left arm, but this was no ordinary wristwatch.

The watch he wore was the Omnitrix, a device capable of turning whoever is wearing it into a wide selection of alien species, this model of the Omnitrix was an updated version of the one he got since he beat Dagon. This model had a few new features into it, most notably the Evolutionary Function had been reinstalled by Azmuth, the creator of the Omnitrix and smartest being in 3 galaxies, he saw both the potential and dangers in it when it was used by Albedo and in the Nemetrix, so he gave an updated, glitch-free version of the function to Ben so it would be kept in right hands and for when he needs to use it. Other features were a Universal Positioning System, a longer time limit with no reduction in it when changing into another alien & faster recharge, a DNA & tech analyzer, and a system that would wirelessly tell Ben´s and the Omnitrix´s condition from anywhere he could possibly be back to Galvin Prime.

This year he had turned 17, and it was a pretty good Birthday party too. His friends Gwen, Kevin, his partner, Rook Blonko, Grandpa Max, and most of the Plumbers of Earth threw him a party, there was a mountain of chili fries, a smoothie fountain, great music that made you move it, and cake, even Blukic & Driba put on fireworks and light show display (and it went exactly how you think it went, but thankfully no one got hurt and the damage was minimal to Bluckic and Driba covered in soot and in shock), and the gift from Azmuth was basically the best thing of all.

Anyway back to why Ben Tennyson was in the Chimerian hammer.

Earlier that day, Ben was on patrol with Rook in Bellwood, it was rather slow as the only crime in the town was only a jaywalker and spotting a strange yet unsuspecting person in a fedora & trench coat but his hands appeared to be toys walking around, but before they could investigate further on any of the matters they got an urgent call from the Plumbers HQ that Vilgax has returned and from what they could tell from his recent activities the last few weeks he stole a wide variety of advanced & experimental alien technology and one of the prototype Null Void projectors from another Plumber Base in space, now he was on route to Earth to most possibly use whatever he has built to rid of Ben and his planet once and for all.

As Ben and Rook blasted into space in the Proto-TRUK they came to the scene of several dozen Plumber fighter ships taking on the Chimeriean Hammer Mk. V and the smaller fighter ships. Ben was given an order by his Grandpa Max to go into the Hammer and stop whatever Vilgax was planning before he has a chance to use it. So a quick change into Big Chill and phasing into the interior the Hammer later he was met with Vilgax´s drones and robots patrolling the interior just in case Ben ever came in and here we are.

¨Ben! Do you copy¨? Ben´s Omnitrix spoke out as the voice of Rook was heard from it.

¨I hear you loud and clear Rook, anything happening outside¨? Ben responded.

¨We are handling the Vilgax´s fleet just fine but there has been a recent rise in energy levels similar to that of the Null Void Projector coming from the helm, but much too potent to be it and some of the frequencies are off¨. Rook responded back as explosions could be heard in the background.

¨If I had to guess what ol´ squid head must´ve built, it must be a plus-sized Null Void projector¨. Ben guessed. ¨And the even bigger and obvious guess is that he´ll use that to blast Earth into it¨.

¨While that may seem reasonable, I doubt he would do that, despite it somehow making sense in so many ways, we could have replicated the tech Vilgax made or use Alien X easily bring Earth out again¨. Rook reasoned as more explosions were heard in the background. ¨Sorry sir, but more fighter ships have appeared and I need to concentrate fully on this, over and out¨.

The Omnitrix´s communication system turned off and Ben kept running down the halls searching for the control room of the ship.

¨Cmon, cmon where is it¨? He said panting as he ran, though he had regular training with the Plumbers the fact that Vilgax was here and was about to use what he had in store on Earth, anyone would be running on pure adrenaline.

He came across a sliding door that looked promising and stopped at it.

¨Okay this seems promising¨. Ben said as he opened the door from its side button to reveal an empty room. ¨And my intuition betrayed me¨.

Ben then activated the Omnitrix and a few seconds later, he found the alien he needed and pressed the dial down, and in a flash of green light there stood a tall alien with a muscular build, with yellow skin and covered in large green eyes except on the legs and face, which has only a mouth and large bat-like ears in the place of eyes, this alien wore black pants with a green belt with the Omnitrix symbol acting as the buckle.

¨Now let's see if Eye-Guy can spot the helm¨. Ben said as he turned on Eye-Guy´s x-ray vision, a new move he has learned to spot any targets through walls and complex facilities, after a few seconds of intense focusing through the metal, power conduits, and contraptions making more drones he saw Vilgax at the helm with a few drones that appeared to be operating a large cylindrical device aiming it towards a force-field window that was facing Earth. ¨And I spotted VilGeek, and man it looks like he´s about to blast Earth into the slammer¨.

Ben then tapped the Omnitrix again, turning into a blue and black bipedal lizard, resembling a velociraptor, has black orbs on his feet, a black bio-conoid helmet with a retractable visor, 3 black claws on each hand, and wore a pair of black pants and a turtleneck-like shirt that was green from the center of the waist to the base of the head. This was XLR8.

¨Alright, one ticket to kicking Squidheads butt coming right up¨. Ben said as ran at super speed towards the helm.

The Chimerian Hammer, the helm.

In a large room with the console for the Hammer and there stood Vilgax, overlooking the final touches to the large device. Since his last defeat against Ben left him severely weakened when he took the time to recover and heard Ben got a few upgrades with the Omnitrix he decided to make some changes to his being.

He was now a 12-foot tall green giant with a hulking physique, he wore dark crimson armor patterned with green-tinted-gold stripes over the torso and lower body, the exposed body had many bronze cybernetic plugs running along his arms skin, his face still had the menacing red eyes and the 6 tentacles acting as a beard under his exposed black-lipped mouth that was between water recyclers/oxygenators.

Vilgax was the most feared being of the Universe as his reputation was not something to lay aside as the condensed version of his rap sheet included the conquering of 10 planets, destruction of 5 others, and the creator of a black hole, now if his plan went all according to plan there would be ¨Sending a planet and the savior of the universe into the Null Void¨ on it as well.

¨How are the last touches coming¨? Vilgax asked his drones. ¨Tennyson is on this ship and I do not want him interfering with my ultimate plan to finally rid of him and his putrid planet off the star charts¨.

¨Approximately over 98 percent master, we have to yet install the most important part, the taydenite stabilizer lense and still let it fully charge up¨. A drone responded as it held up a small trinket, it was a circle the size of a large coaster, the circle was a turquoise crystal lens that had a convex curve to it. ¨And here it is¨.

¨Careful with that, we only managed to have one of them and they´re next-to-impossible to get, let alone find, and if we lose that part the plan will be useless¨! Vilgax warned his drones with a tone which also translated to 'If any of you screw this up, I´ll turn you into scrap metal´.

¨Yes, master¨.

As the drones worked on installing the lens and adding the shielding to it, there was a loud thud on the metal door.

¨Well what do you know, he´s here¨. Vilgax responded as he looked towards the door that now had a large dent on it. ¨All of you keep working on the device, I´ll give Tennyson something to keep himself busy¨. Finishing that sentence with a malevolent grin.

Several more knocks were pounded on the door before it finally fell forward to reveal Ben as Four Arms, a 10-foot tall muscular humanoid alien with red skin, 4 arms with 4-fingered hands that had black fingerless gloves with green cuffs, has 4 green eyes with a short & oddly rectangular beard and mustache, he wore a wears a black tank top-like shirt with one large green stripe in the middle, black pants, and a belt where the Omnitrix symbol laid.

¨Alright VilGeek, I´m afraid that your little plan to send Earth into Null Void will be denied, so how about I give you a hand¨? Ben quipped as he cracked his knuckles. ¨Better yet four¨. Ben charged forward to the device aimed directly at Earth and was about.

¨I don´t think so boy, and besides, you´re only half right, activate prototype AD-001 Mark 1¨! Vilgax shouted to his console.

¨GRANTED, deploying Adaptordroid master Vilgax¨. The console responded back as it began to process the command.

A hatch opened on the ceiling as it deployed a drone in front of the charging Ben, who had stopped.

The drone was about 6-and-a-half-feet tall and definitely had a better posture than the other drones when it stood up, it was broader shouldered than its smaller counterparts, therefore, having a more toned physique, it still had the black head with the orange eyes and gas mask-like mouth, and finally, there were seven glowing orbs on its chest each a different color, the one in the center was a bit bigger than the others and was white, the others were colored red, yellow, blue, green, light blue, and purple.

This new kind of drone looked up at Ben and it beeped before it spoke and got into a fighting stance. ¨Target identified: Ben Tennyson. Form: Tetramand. RETU: Earth¨.

¨Ha ha, nice try Vilgax, you think just one drone will be able to stop me¨? Ben grinned sarcastically as he about to punch away the robot, but failed to notice the white orb on the drone´s chest had turned green.

¨No, but it can buy me enough time¨.

Before the punch could connect with the drone, it dodged, reeled back a glowing green fist that was being enveloped with rock, and landed it straight onto Four Arms´ gut.

¨OOF¨! Ben said as he was sent back a few feet, the Droid then hit him with a solid left hook knocking him off of his feet. ¨Okay… They are faster and definitely have a few new tricks¨.

¨Arrogant child, you are witnessing one of my best weapons I ever thought up of, the Adaptordroid, capable of fighting you in your alien forms with deadly efficiency and countering many of your elemental powers¨. Vilgax spelled out to Ben as the A-Droid sprouted green energy blades that were crusting with rock.

¨Alright I have to admit, that´s smart and cool¨. Ben said as he recovered from the punch. ¨But you won´t be adapted to Four Arms for long tin can¨. Ben then tapped the Omnitrix again, in a flash Ben had turned into Big Chill, a blue & black humanoid moth-like alien whose 4 wings that could fold up into a hooded robe, his face constantly showed off his teeth and had large green bug-like eyes.

¨Now let's see if you can chill out¨. Ben said as he breathed out a torrent of cold at the A-Droid, which dodged the cold beam to instead hit the drones building the device freezing them in place just before they could pick up the last shielding plate that would´ve covered up the stabilizer lens.

Ben just re-aimed his freeze breath and continued blasting at the constantly dodging droid in an attempt to freeze it solid, thankfully he managed to freeze its foot to the ground. Taking this opportunity, Ben flew straight at the droid and gave it a strong punch to its face and swiping his claws at the torso causing it to have several gashes on its armor, Ben then went intangible and phased through it to freeze up any sensible tech it had in it.

¨And I won¨. Ben said as he turned around and became tangible again to see his short-term victory shivering, but it was short-lived.

¨Form: Necrofriggian. RETU: Wind and Lightning¨. The droid spoke out as the center orb turned from green to yellow, and after it did that it became somewhat see-through and several chunks of ice were dropped from its being, the droid quickly turned around quickly to deliver a glowing yellow punch that was surrounded with what appeared to be wind.

Ben instinctively turned intangible again to avoid the punch but as the droid came into contact with the incorporeal Big Chill, the punch managed to connect and sent Ben flying across the room.

¨Okay... Note to self, when it uses 'wind´ it can touch me when I go intangible¨. Ben said and as he tried to get but then a powerful bolt of purple-colored electricity struck him, causing him to get electrocuted. He raised his head to see the droid had its largest orb purple and had glowing purple hand surrounded with electricity.

¨I recommend you stop now boy, the device is almost fully charged and Earth will no longer be a thorn on my backside¨. Vilgax spoke out as he got up from his seat. ¨You´ll never be able to beat the Adaptordroid and get past me in time to save your puny planet¨.

Ben then got a crazy idea. 'Okay, the droid can adapt to my aliens, so what if I adapted to it´? Ben then got up, selected an alien that was his best guess immune to electricity, and doesn´t have much of an elemental weakness.

¨Not true, I just need to be one step ahead of it¨. Ben talked back as he pressed the Omnitrix, in a flash of green light there stood Diamondhead, an 8-foot tall alien entirely composed of turquoise crystals, even having 4 crystal spikes on his back and having a sharp head, he wore a black tank top with one large green stripe down the middle up to his belt, and a pair black pants and shoes. He has a green belt with white stripes on which he wears the Omnitrix symbol on the buckle. ¨Now, time to play can opener¨.

The droid fired another blast of electricity at the petrosapien that was Ben but due to the fact that petrosapiens were made of diamonds and since diamonds cannot conduct electricity, it was practically ineffective as it deflected to a wall. The droid switched back to its supposed 'default´ setting, then went into the offensive and summoned its arm blades to melee fight Ben, who made one of his arms into a giant blade.

The droid swung first at Ben, who blocked it and he swung his blade at it. A complex sword played out but as the droid seemed to gain the higher superiority from Ben, he knew the droid was exactly where he intended it to be, with his free arm he turned it into a cluster of shards and put it on his opponent's stomach area.

¨Alright bolt head, prepare for a stomach ache¨. Ben said before firing a bunch of gem shards through the torso of the droid effectively making a large hole in it, and since that attack most likely severed the connection from its CPU to its legs as it fell into a limp heap to the floor. ¨And your out¨.

Ben then turned to Vilgax. ¨Alright Squidhead, your new toy was a bit of challenge but still nothing against me, and now it's just you and me¨.

¨Are you sure about that¨? Vilgax responded with an evil smile.

Ben felt something jump onto his arm along with a slight squishy & sticky feeling, Ben looked down at his arm to see the A-droid clinging to his arm with some stick adhesive substance seemingly that was oozing from holes all over its body.

¨Initiating Self-Destruct¨. The A-droid said as it began beeping, Ben´s eyes widened as he tried to shake off the droid before it detonated.

¨My plan to send Earth into a dark, cold death is about to suceed¨. Vilgax grinned as the console told him a message that the device was fully charged.

¨INITIATING PLANET-GRADE INTERDIMENSIONAL TELEPORTER BEAM IN T-MINUS 30¨. The intercom announced.

Ben´s (currently non-existent) heart skipped a beat as he heard the amount of time he had left to stop the device, now he knew it was an interdimensional beam, but with Vilgax still in the way and the droid about to explode on his arm he knew had to think of something, and fast!

¨T-MINUS 25¨.

Then all of a sudden a light bulb went off in Ben´s head. He made his arm extend to move the droid away from him, once it got far enough he turned his other arm into a blade and cut off the part with the A-droid, picked the large piece (all the while avoiding to touch the adhesive) that used to be part of himself and aimed at the unaware Vilgax, who was watching out the window to see the end of Earth, as to throw it at Vilgax.

¨T-MINUS 20¨.

Ben chucked the droid towards Vilgax and before the chunk could reach Vilgax he shouted ¨Fore¨!

Vilgax only had the time to merely turn his head before he was hit with full force on the back by the droid stuck on the crystal, and since the droid was still covered in the adhesive it stuck on Vilgax like a fly on flypaper (or was it the other way around?).

¨T-MINUS 15¨.

Vilgax grunted as he stood back up and as he heard the beeping speeding up to almost sound like one continuous beep behind him, and he dreadfully knew what it was and what was gonna happen.

¨Curse you, Tennys- *BOOM*¨! Vilgax tried to say before the droid exploded in a flash of orange sending Vilgax to the wall crashing through it into another room of the ship.

¨I know, Tennis isn´t much of my game either¨. Ben quipped.

¨T-MINUS 10¨.

Ben snapped back into reality when he realized he had only the count of 10 before Earth was sent to who knows where, also he knew the blast would only temporarily stun Vilgax, so he better get as much as a headstart as he could.

¨Man oh man, gotta stop the beam¨. Ben distressed as he ran towards the device, thankfully the drones that were building it were still frozen from when he used Big Chill to try to freeze the Adaptordroid and accidentally hit them with it.

After smashing the drones away from the side of the device, shattering their bodies in the process, to allow him to see the exposed the insides, he stood in front of it and was about to tap the Omnitrix symbol to change into one of his smarter aliens to help him figure out how to make the beam ineffective but...

¨T-MINUS 5¨.

Ben stopped what he was about to do and as he realized he didn't have the time to let Gray Matter or Brainstorm analyze the machine to find anything useful to do, and smashing it probably wasn´t the best idea either, as it had enough power in it to teleport a planet into another dimension, so god knows how big the blast radius was gonna be, while he could survive it with the right alien, the Plumber forces not so much.

So Ben knew he had only one option to go with; Trust his gut and wits.

¨4¨.

Ben started looking in the machine through the uncovered section to look for anything that looked important for functionality, there were wires, circuit boards, gizmos, a turquoise crystal lens, bolts, and...

¨Wait...¨ He said realizing what he saw just before.

¨3¨.

Ben glanced back at the lens and realized that it was a lens made of taydenite, the hardest and most precious crystal of the universe, he reasoned that if Vilgax had acquired a piece of taydenite specifically shaped for this kind of purpose then it must be important for the functionality of the beam.

¨Bingo¨.

¨2¨.

Ben reached in and tried to get the lens, but due to the fact Diamondhead having large hands, it was a bit difficult to get his fingers to it.

¨Cmon, cmon¨.

¨1¨.

Ben got his thumb and middle finger to pinch the lens, but just before he could remove it…

¨0¨.

A beam of red energy shot through the lens surprising Ben with the sudden flash of light.

¨GAH¨! He yanked his hand away quickly with the lens in hand in surprise, which was smoking hot, but due to Diamondhead´s natural resistance to heat, he didn´t notice its temperature.

¨Oh man, I hope my gut was right¨. Ben said as he looked through the window to see a large red beam heading straight towards Earth, but once it had gotten a fair distance away from the hammer it seemed to glitch and started bunching up at a point in space.

¨*Phee-yew* Saved Earth right at the nick of time¨. Ben let out a deep breath, while he had several instances of having extremely close calls, the closest one was stopping Maltruant from using an Annihilarg to create the universe in his own image before time even existed, they always made him run out of breath.

¨Ben! Do you copy? Ben¨! His communicator sounded with the sound of Rook´s voice.

¨Yeah I hear you Rook, what´s the news, aside from me stopping the Vilgax´s plan in the nick of time¨? Ben answered.

¨Well, whatever you did, did not end it altogether, readings are showing that the energy that is bunching up is not dissipating, but it is about to open a tear in the fabric of space and time¨. Rook responded back in a concerned yet panicked tone.

¨So you´re saying it´s opening up a-¨ Ben was interrupted when he noticed a bright light flash in front of the window as he the bunched up energy starting to swirl around and expand into what appeared to be a ¨Wormhole¨! Ben exclaimed as he felt the ship rock forward, throwing him to the ground.

Vilgax recovered from the blast and made his way back to the control room, he also felt the ship rock, he knew Ben had something to do with it but what? He peered out of the hole he crashed through, he saw that Ben was next to the interdimensional beamer, still in his petrosapien form, on the floor looking out the window, he turned his head to see the wormhole that was made. Vilgax´s eyes widened, he tested many times the beamer on a smaller scale to ensure any flaws were taken care, so far the only flaws that happened were without the stabilizer lens, which if activated would open up small yet unstable wormholes only letting small items through into a completely random alternate reality, but with the lens, anything could be sent into the programmed dimension instantaneously as long enough power was supplied, so to see a massive wormhole that his ship was moving towards to was completely unprecedented.

¨Activate backward thrust¨! Vilgax ordered his ship, but no response came, he faced the console to see it had a large chunk of crystal embedded into it. ¨Curses¨

Ben turned to see Vilgax had recovered, he quickly got up and started to run towards the door he busted down. ¨It was nice knowing you VilGeek, I´d love this visit to last longer but I got a wormhole to escape¨. He joked as he went through the door.

The Omnitrix then started beeping as he then turned back into his human form.

¨Oh great...¨ Ben muttered as he kept running hopefully to find a way out or until his watch would allow him to transform again.

In space, above Earth

Within one minute, Plumber forces retreated away from the Hammer as the wormhole started to become larger and suck the large ship belonging to Vilgax into it, the wormhole engulfed the ship and as it ate the back end of the ship the energy it was made out of seemed to dissipate, seemingly sealing the most feared being in the universe away into wherever it led to.

The Plumbers in the fighter ships radioed each other in cheer as Vilgax was hopefully never gonna be a problem ever again.

¨Ben! Ben! We won, you did it! Vilgax is defeated once again, all because of whatever you did in there¨! Rook said into his communicator to telling Ben he had succeeded in the mission and Earth was safe for another day. But a blinking red light and noise made him look to the center console of the Proto-TRUK to see a message no one would ever think of seeing.

¨Communication with BEN TENNYSON unavailable¨ It said.
