Golden Eyes scanned the train's interior as the team gathered. They had just completed cleaning up the damage in the Space Station and were getting ready to take off. The new member, Caelus, scanned the team as they discussed things. March yawned twice, being completely exhausted from all the fighting. She was practically leaning against Dan Heng while the male swayed. Himeko finally sent them to their rooms after seeing how tired they were. They then got set for take off.

~

Caelus opened his eyes to a soft conversation. Not sure what was happening he stood up and looked around. No sign of March or Dan Heng, but Welt was going over.

"We've got a problem..."

Apparently, something had halted the train and they were stuck until the problem was fixed. Dan Heng joined them long enough to get sent back to his room (March made no appearance at all). Himeko sighed.

"It seems we only have three people we can send. Jarilo-VI is just down there. So we'll go search." Caelus paused.

"3?" Welt laughed.

"March is probably still out. Dan Heng was just sent back to bed. Pom Pom needs to stay and fix the damages." He then nodded to Himeko. "I'm going. Himeko's going. You're the last one." Caelus paused as Himeko smiled.

"Let's mark this as your first Trailblaze Mission. We'll need all the hands on deck that we can get." Caelus took a second before nodding. "Great. We'll leave in a minute. I'm going to go tell the other two the plan. Assuming they're awake. I'll be back." Welt chuckled as she went to the next car.

"Don't be disturbed!" A laugh followed before he nodded to Caelus. "Let's get ready to go."

~

The trio entered the cold planet before Himeko glanced at Welt.

"Anything?"

"Are you serious?" She shrugged as she watched the new kid, who was taking in the surroundings.

"This will be a good test. Neither of us were really on the Space Station when the mission happened."

"Fair."

"So let's see what this kid's got."

~

Even Caelus was suspicious of Sampo, so it was good when they came across Gepard of the Silvermane Guard who became the target. Sampo gunned it before Caelus could hit him, leaving the trio to the guards. Himeko hummed as Welt spoke.

"Defense. Make them attack us." Caelus nodded as he blocked an attack from the guards. It didn't take long before Gepard called the others back. He never made a move to attack, so in his eyes, it was a stand still. While the others tried to argue, Gepard stayed firm.

~

Welt and Gepard stayed outside while Himeko and Caelus went to talk to the Supreme Guardian, Cocolia. There was some tension, but overall it wasn't bad. They went out and caught some of the conversation between the two. But Himeko saw Welt change the subject when they approached.

"So there's no definite way to tell when a day has passed?"

"Sadly yes. The sky does get a little darker, but the sun never stays long on our side of the planet." Gepard closed his eyes. "The clouds don't make it better. Especially during a big storm. We're lucky to know when morning is." Himeko hummed as they went over.

"All good?" Welt nodded.

"How did your talk go?"

"Well enough. Nothing about why we got blocked though. She's getting us a room for the night so that we can investigate later." Gepard almost instantly looked at the sky.

"Oh... I didn't realize that-"

"You did just say that the clouds don't help." There was a look from the captain, but he kept his mouth shut on whatever insult he was going to throw. He then sighed.

"In that case, you'll probably be put at the hotel." He hummed. "I best get back to my post. It's good to meet you guys." He gave Welt a nod before walking away. Himeko hummed.

"Alright. What were you really talking about before we got out here? Or are you going to back out of this?" He hummed.

"I promise you. I was curious about the winter." She narrowed her eyes as he looked up. "I believe that this weather is influenced by something. What that is, I don't know. But that's what I believe. Gepard seemed to agree with me." He hummed. "Let's go rest. We have a big day ahead."

~

Caelus whined as Himeko shook him awake. He was exhausted, but woke up anyway.

"We're under attack."

The words rang in his ears as he and the redhead joined Welt, who was holding off the guards. He knew Cocolia was shady. This was proof. Silence followed as Caelus looked around, counting the guards. Himeko has told him to lead the attack while she and Welt assisted him. The woman, Bronya, started leading them somewhere when Caelus swung at the guards in the back. It took them seconds to get into Backwater Pass with little injuries.

Bronya caught up quickly to them, so they were forced back into battle. Again, they went defensive, throwing the princess off as she took an aggressive front.

~

After getting saved by Sampo (who got slammed in the back of his head), Himeko and Caelus got into a conversation with Bronya, Seele and Natasha. Welt had gone elsewhere during this. Bronya hummed.

"Real quick. Is it just me, or was your third companion watching us carefully?" Himeko hummed.

"Good question. I sadly don't know." Bronya purred as they discussed the Stellaron, which they all agreed was the problem.

~

After helping the Underworld, the group charged up above. Bronya went ahead while Welt said he was going after Gepard, hoping to see if he could persuade the captain into helping them. Himeko argued, but her words fell on deaf ears. They dropped by Serval's Workshop before charging into the Restricted Zone.

It took them a few minutes of arguing with Guards before they grouped up with the two guys. And Himeko was right about Welt lying earlier.

"I told you not to tell her."

"She asked a question. I answered it." Gepard then looked at the ground before adding. "She almost shot me in the foot."

"Never mind." Welt paused. "How did she know you and I talked?" Gepard paused as he looked at him.

"That's a good question. She didn't answer me." Himeko chuckled as they went over.

"That was my doing." Welt whipped around in a panic. "I knew you weren't just talking about the snowstorm. You used it as a cover. Cough it up." Welt kept quiet before Gepard spoke, using his position to get an upper hand advantage.

"Serval." She hummed. "I told you that you're not getting through."

"Ok and? Let me show you why you're wrong." Caelus frowned as the two Landau's collided, getting louder than Welt's silence.

"He's covering."

"Yeah... I know."

~

Welt continued to keep his mouth shut, but it was clear that he was hiding his expressions. Caelus finally asked when Himeko and Seele charged forward.

"Is something wrong?"

"Don't you dare. Not here, not now and certainly not while Himeko is in earshot." Caelus scanned him. He had regained his composure very quickly from that little snap.

~

After defeating Cocolia, they regrouped in the fort, where they targeted Welt's silence, which stayed before Gepard carried Serval in. The older Landau caused a scene as Gepard put her beside Bronya. Caelus caught sight of Welt escaping during it.

"I don't want her anymore. She's all yours." Bronya yelled out to him as he escaped. Caelus sighed.

"I'll go after them since Welt vanished." Himeko smiled.

"Thanks. I'll close up here."

~

Caelus paused at the conversation.

"I should've asked for the name of the Supreme Guardian. I totally almost lost my composure up there." Gepard chuckled at his words.

"I take it going home would be a bad idea?" Welt gulped.

"I would need a week to remember that there's a difference." He rubbed his face. "It was fine for Himeko, but she's the only one. I can't-" Gepard shook his head.

"Deep breaths. You'll be ok." Welt hummed as he put his glasses on.

"Right. I just need to remember that this isn't home. Thanks for the help." Gepard nodded before they split up. Caelus waited for Welt to pass before he spoke.

"She's gonna kill you." Welt spun around before giving a look and turning on his heel.

"If you tell her, I will kill you." Caelus chuckled before he ran after the elder.

~

Upon returning to the Express, they discovered that there were other problems. The heat shut off in the middle and had just turned back on. PomPom sighed.

"March and Dan Heng have been trapped in their room this whole time. So they won't be out for a bit." Himeko sighed.

"I'll go make sure they're alive." Welt scoffed.

"Careful." She waved him off before he sat down. PomPom fired a joke.

"Are your bones retiring before you?"

"Quiet."
