Chapter 2: Silence Will Fall [CLOSED]
The City:
Previously:
A group has met in the Empire State Building, which has his been taken under the control of the rebels in the City. Led by Jay, the A.I activist, they've found a specific room for each to meet and for roles to be assigned. Little do they know that many humans are sat amongst them, and the one thing that these extremists have set out to destroy, are soon to become their greatest allies, and they don't have a clue.
As each individual takes their seat around a overly large and extravagant oak wood table, there's soft murmurs within the crowd. Only some have been permitted to enter the room, a crowd of perhaps 30 to 45, and the view is still mind numbing to them all. The shimmering glass window holds the image of the thriving, yet grimy city below, overridden by laziness and hate from those that consume it, yet from this tall perspective, when the city streets are made small and aggressive yells cannot be heard, each looming building can individually be seen as beautiful, and that gives people hope.
Soon, silence will fall, Jay will begin to speak, and a plan will be decided. The fate of the public will be in the hands of the public, and these rebels have had decades to let that motivation rage build up inside them, allowing new ideas to form, and mutate, and develop into something undeniably barbaric, yet full proof.
The Countryside:
Previously:
Recently the people of the main village had been summoned to the church, due to the rare ringing of the bells. As very few artificial intelligence hold any religious belief (with the exception of those who do), the church's main function is not that of faith, but of wisdom. There, they were summoned to hear the most recent and urgent news of the virtual prison. They were each informed of the fire, the one spotted on the closest of the Relinquo Islands, and has seemed to have been burning constantly for the past few months.
The crowd is filled with murmurs once again, mostly ones which were riddled with confusion and scattered with questions. When only the most urgent news was shared with the countryside, why on earth would this be considered so important? Well the Islands were considered 'sacred' to some, them being where the A.I arrived first, though many have very little, or almost no memory of the area, it still holds great importance to the majority.
Eventually, silence fell across the murmuring crowd of both human and A.I alike, the ones that chose to live in harmony, rather than anger. Rose had cleared her throat in attempt to get their attention and she glanced across each of them. "The fire has begun. You don't understand, but you will. Because once it starts to spread, we'll begin to run out of time... all of us can't survive this..." the girl spoke, fear in her eyes as she announced something only she really understood, unless someone she's knew better.
Suddenly, something in her eyes changed and she stepped down, making her way through the crowd, head hung lid and arms wrapped around her torso as she escaped the church, leaving those who remained to decipher her message, and ultimately make a decision.
The Capital:
Previously:
The last we saw were the students negotiating and working on a plan, but mostly attempting to understand their situation. 3 months of silence was not sitting well with the humans, but the A.I knew less then they thought. The meeting that morning showed them that Phoenix knew more than she wanted to let on.
This day, a new sun rises on the Capital and the students and A.I are awoken by strong winds and a distant growling. Of course, the more permanent residents of the capital were aware of the monster, they understood its danger, but the students were more naive. They had questions.
Once again, the cheerful Joy knocks on each of the students door, opening it with a shaky smile and quivering hands which held a tray of unnecessary breakfast. She knew food wasn't compulsory, but felt bad for the students. She understood the pain of arriving in a world she didn't understand, unaware of why she was there, and unable to escape. If it hadn't been for Sam... well.
The Swamp:
Previously:
Only yesterday, Amy and Nate set off on their exploration of the swamp, attempting to find where it led, where it ended, and if it ended at all. It seemed they missed something very important, and though they're yet to realise, it may just change their fate entirely.
Amy and Nate returned late that afternoon, just before sundown. The door was locked once again and the group of youngsters attempted to sleep through the night. There was almost no point in trying, as the echos of monstrous roars was the only sound that filled the dull empty woods, and a grumbling stomach that threatened from afar. Silence only fell in the early hours of the morning, when the sun began to rise.
This morning, they'll attempt to leave the swamp, having marks a path to which the trees become less dense and it seems a path it beginning to form. Despite the dangers, it's been decided that its finally time to step into the woods and attempt to make their escape.
The Island:
Final Chapter
Previously:
Despite many difficulties, the group of three eventually made it onto the small rowboat which stood on the shore of the island. They left the burning fire behind, with Phoenix and Maggie still missing, and presumably having perished in the fire, the group left the island behind. The boat moved without any effort, carrying them across the clear waters until nightfall.
The next morning, when the students awake from their slumber, they find themselves in the middle of an empty ocean. Nobody can tell how long they'd been traveling for, but as far as they could see, it was blue. Only the ocean with no changes in sight.
Only minutes past, and a hopeless silence has fallen amongst the teens, when suddenly they catch a glimpse of land in the distance. Another sense of humanity when it seemed there was no other kind society in sight. Desperately, they wave down their possible saviours, but they're still too far away, they've got no chance of being seen, not for some time, especially at the speed of this boat. Time to make a plan.

Alright! Sorry for the delay, I know it took a while to publish this chapter, but that was due to some complications that I have hopefully fixed and now the plot should move at a faster pace across all chains!
For this chapter, there will be a lot of... reuniting. So I think it's best to remember some of the relationships that your characters have formed over time.
I'm excited to see the reaction to this chapter and have been waiting to upload it for sooo long.
So, have fun!
