Chapter 33
....
"That night... I didn't know what I was doing. But I knew one thing, I loved you, too much for my own good. And maybe that's why things got heated and...next morning when I woke up, I realized what I had done. I, cuz you were too drunk to acknowledge anything, and that was my fault too." He spoke.
"I saw you sleeping, and decided to leave without waking you up. I thought talking about it later would be better. I called you once that evening, your manager said you were busy. I was too scared to face you, after...that night. And what I feared came true. I knew you'd get pregnant. I knew it was going to ruin your career and mine too, I couldn't understand what to do then. So I told my brother. He scolded me a lot, even slapped me. I didn't say anything, cuz I knew I deserved it.
"SeokJin, he told me to get out of the house. He was very mad at me, saying how can I be so wreckless and selfish. How can I treat a woman like that. And a lot of stuff like that. He cursed at me wholeheartedly. He said, 'don't come back till you fix it', and there...I never went home again. I never managed to fix it. I couldn't come to you, I thought you'd hate me, and Jimin and Jungkook would kill me the moment they lay their eyes on me." Taehyung said.
"You're not wrong though. We planned on killing you. And sure, Zia hates you." Jimin said, crossing his arms. "And I can still kill you." Taehyung looked down at his lap and sighed.
"I never thought you'd keep the child. Since you were a model, and that too in Crimson, your career and Crimson was of utmost priority. So I just decided to leave without saying anything to anyone, not like me staying would've had any effect." He said.
Zia frowned at him, with a glare. Her fists clenched at his words.
"The first few months felt like I would get over you. But my heart and mind never stopped wondering about you. I tried to convince myself that you hate me. That's when I realized I can't live without you and how much I messed up. I wanted to say sorry to you. So I started searching for you. Calling on different numbers and visiting different places. After three years, I saw you that day, for the first time, again." He said staring at Zia.
"You're crazy" she said. "Do you know how much I suffered because of you?! Do you have any idea how hard it was for me to tell myself that you were just another one of the clients of Crimson who just wanted a taste of me. You, Kim Taehyung, used me and then threw me away. You, made me think I was worthless, I used to question myself and blame myself for everything. For trusting you. For not listening to Jimin. For not listening to Jungkook. And f-for existing." She spoke as her voice trailed off at the end.
"You hurted me badly Taehyung. I couldn't sleep for days, I couldn't stop thinking why you did this to me. And you know what? Jimin, he was the one fixing the mess you" she pointed at Taehyung, "-created. You were the one to do all that. And about the child right? I wasn't going to keep it. Jihan, the four year old who you saw, he wouldn't have existed if Jimin didn't save him. If Jimin didn't save me!" She cried, grabbing his collar harshly and shaking him.
"You left us to die! He was the one to tell me it wasn't my fault! He was the one pick me up! Jimin was the one to accept the child and gave him his name! When you were supposed to do all of this! But what did you do? Left me with a child to die? Where did you even get the nerve to show up again in front of me? How do you still have the audacity to say you love me?" She asked, wiping her tears.
"I'm sorry...I'm really s-sorry. I'll do anything...please... Just give me a chance." Taehyung pleaded, as his eyes watered. Zia gave him a stern look and spoke,
"Anything right? Do me favour, leave." She said, "Leave us alone, the way you did before. And don't show your face ever again."
Taehyung broke into endless stream of tears, while Jimin embraced Zia.
Taehyung sniffed as he looked at Zia with his red eyes, "Can I meet him once..? Please.." he asked, softly.
Zia wanted to say no. But Jimin squeazed her hand, telling her its okay. She nodded and called Jihan. The boy straight away sat on his Dad's lap and hugged him.
"I was scared" he mumbled.
"No need to be scared, everything is fine now." Jimin assured the four year old.
Taehyung stared at him, thinking it would've been him if he didn't do that mistake a few years ago. He saw Jimin whispering something in the boy's ear, making him turn to face him.
"Hello Jihan" Taehyung said.
"Hello" The child mumbled with disinterest. Taehyung sighed and tried to smile, he held his hand out for Jihan to take it.
Jihan looked at his parents, as if asking him to shake hands with the man or not. Jimin nodded and gave him a encouraging pat on the back. He shook Taehyung's hand making him smile genuinely.
"I'm Taehyung," he said, "you can call me... TaeTae if you want." He smiled at him. The boy smiled at the name.
"TaeTae" he repeated with amusement, but quickly hid it as he remembered this man was hurting his mother.
"Why did you hurt mommy?" He asked, frowning.
"I... I'm sorry, for your mommy, for your daddy and for you too." Taehyung said.
Jihan glanced at his mom, then nodded, "Its okay" he said, "Daddy says, we should accept sorry. Right Dad?" He said, turning to Jimin.
Jimin nodded hesitantly. After everything, is a sorry all that's needed?
"Yeah, your Dad is right." Taehyung said, "you're lucky to have them as your parents."
Jihan tilted his head, not understanding what TaeTae just said.
"Mom and Dad?" He asked. Taehyung nodded and chuckled at the child's innocence. "You have the best mom and dad in the world."
This sentence was easier to grasp for a four year old's brain. He giggled and nodded.
"I know!" He said.
Taehyung smiled sadly and ruffled his hair, "Can I tell you a secret?" He said. Zia glared at him, virtually threatening him about doing anything stupid. Jihan went near him, wanting to learn what the man named 'TaeTae' had to say.
"Always listen to your mom and dad, they love you. And they're very nice people." Taehyung whispered in the boy's ear. But what the boy questioned made all the hearts stop for a second.
"You not nice?"
Taehyung looked down, coping with his brain to come up with some words. Although he couldn't. He just shook his head, making the boy more confused.
"Why not?" He asked.
"Let's just say I did something bad and hurted someone I loved." Taehyung answered, glancing at Zia.
"Okay enough" Zia gritted out and stood up, pulling Jihan away from Taehyung asking him to back to his room.
"You wanted to see him, now get lost" she said pointing at the door.
Taehyung sighed and stood up, "I'm really sorry for everything." He said and stepped forward praying that she would let him hug her one last time. She didn't hug back, instead pushed him away.
"Remember, don't ever show up in my life." She said. "I don't wanna see you again." Taehyung chewed on his lower lip, to keep himself from crying and turned around to leave, Forever.
Zia stared at the closed door. Silence fell. She let out a shaky breath as her gaze fell on the floor, and her body slid down along the cold wall. She sat on the floor staring into thin air. Like acids, her tears began to pour, burning her skin all the way. Jimin embraced her tightly wanting to never let go.
She covered her mouth, trying to be as quiet as possible, so their four year old son doesn't know that his mother's breaking. She bit her lip hard, till she could tell the iron-ish taste of the blood on her tongue. But nothing mattered right now. With each second she felt herself drowning deeper in her own sorrowful tears. First sound of her sobbing, and sun had hid itself in the endless ocean of sky. Second time, it was the birds that stopped singing. With the third, night had fallen. And then breaking Jimin's heart, she let all of it out, crying in his arms.
This night was different. Taehyung ignited what Zia burried deep inside her to save herself and everyone around her. Her sparkling eyes, glistened with burning tears as they blurred her vision. Her touch held fire, to turn anything into ashes. Her voice were arrows stabbing each and every heart that was ever a cause of her misery. And Jimin, he was her endless end ocean, taking in everything that she had without complaining once. The star in her dark night. The warmth in winter. Cool breaze in summers. Umbrella under the rain. And most importantly, Park Jimin when she was Kim Zia.
"Its alright, I've got you"
'You always do'
"And I always will"
He kissed her forehead, as they closed their eyes cherishing their closeness.

The perfect round eyes poured tears like there was no end. With alcoholic smell lingering around him, he stumbled on the sidewalk holding and taking support from the poles and walls. As if the weather was mocking at him, the clouds rained down like crazy, each drop feeling like stinging thorns. The ever so cold wind slapping his body reminding of what sins he had done. Having nothing to lose now, Taehyung wandered around the empty, dark street in the middle of the night.
His right hand's palm pressed on the pavement to keep his balance as he stumbled upon a stone. Not having the energy and need to get up again, he sat their staring down at his hands, recalling how he hurted the one he loved. The raindrops mixed with his salty tears and dripped further down. He looked around, hearing people giving nasty comments and some laughing at his state in the middle of that deserted street.
His hands moved hastily grabbing either side of his face, covering his ears while he let out all the pain and frustration into one heart-shattering scream.
--
A shattering sound was never so loud. Breathing was never so agonizing. Holding her was never so tough. Loving her was never so painful.
-
Today, she knows why he did what he did, because he were never so strong to hold a universe in his arms.
