Chapter 21
....
Flashes were all that was noticable as cameras clicked endlessly for the two heavenly looking people. Her one hand on his shoulder and the other one subtly holding the collar of his jacket as he stood leaning close to her with an absorbing gaze, giving the perfect shot to camera directors for the fourth session of Crimson and Park Jimin's authentic collaboration photoshoot.
"Perfect!" One of them exclaimed.
Jimin's hand impeccably slid around her waist, and Zia wrapped her arms around his neck tilting her head slightly to her right. Hundreds of clicks were heard, as they moved on with their poses. If a cameraman failed to capture their godly visuals, it's completely their loss and their company's loss, nothing that Kim Zia or Park Jimin have to worry about. Speaking frankly, even their unconscious movements and habits are captured in cameras. Crimson has set off excessive trends and high standards for their most beautiful model. People often believe Zia has a life of a princess, or a even a queen.
The shoot was soon over, The directors thanked them, and told how honered they were to be able to work with them. The two were ready to leave, when they heard a clap.
"Well done Park," the voice said, "and you too love. You look gorgeous."
Zia turned around to face him with a unimpressed look on her face,
"Why are you here?" She asked.
Jungkook smiled at her, watching her observingly, she truly looked gorgeous. He walked near the two, focused on Zia. She stared at him, trying hard to read his expression, but was failing low-key badly.
"To check on you darling" he said with a small smirk, then shifted his eyes to the man next to her. "Mr. Park, I hope you don't mind me borrowing her for the rest of the day?"
Jimin frowned and glanced at Zia, but before he could say anything, the girl had very intentionally interrupted him.
"I'm no-"
"Zia" Jungkook intervened sternly, maintaining a strong stare at the girl, making her shut up and look away, pissed.
"Jimin, I'll go with him." She said in a low voice.
Jimin so badly wanted to hold her hand and lead her out of the place, but he knew going against Jungkook, who's now the CEO of Crimson, isn't a good idea, specially when Kang is well aware of what's going on in his territory. He didn't wanted to create more problems for Zia.
He nodded and gave her a hug, taking the opportunity to whisper something,
"I'll call you later, okay?" Zia nodded, as he continued, "Yoongi hyung wanted to talk to you. He said its been a while, so.."
"I'll call him." She said. Jimin smiled and patted the side of her head.
"Go, Bye" he said.
"Bye." She sighed and walked towards Jungkook.
–
"What is it?"
"Your parents, their wanna see you."
"Really?" Zia asked, "Out of the blue?"
Jungkook shrugged, "They just called me and said they'll come over to have a talk. Kang will be there too."
She nodded and stared out of the window. It definitely won't be just a 'talk'. She hoped they were there to say 'hello' and check if she was still alive. Why do they even bother to come? Just send another man, to use her and tell them if she's dead yet. Bullshit.
"C'mon" Jungkook said breaking the long silence, "Kang's here. I won't appreciate my love getting scolded by that man." He said.
"Stop calling me that." She hissed.
"What? Love?" Jungkook smirked, "You are what's called Love, and what takes it away." He said.
Why can't you just simply say that you hate me? Jerk.
"I hate you too" she growled.
"I'm glad." He said. "Now stop talking and get in." He straightened himself and placed a hand on Zia's back.
"Zia!" The mother exclaimed on seeing her daughter, "How are you?" She asked, smiling a little.
Zia nodded, not really wanting to say anything. Jungkook noticed and tightened his grip on her waist. A signal for her to drop the tough act, that only and only Jungkook could do, and nobody else. His dominant aura had Zia under spell, even when she knew he was just playing. She glared at him, although Jungkook smirked.
"I'm doing good" She said through gritted teeth.
"And, Jungkook its been while meeting you son, I hope you're doing good as well" The father spoke. Jungkook flashed a smile,
"Yes, of course your daughter makes things better." He said, glancing at the girl.
Her parents smiled. Zia looked at them, studying their expression. They were definitely here for business, but what? The thought bugged Zia, they were never this nice and friendly with her or anyone, except Kang and Jungkook.
"What brings you here today?" She asked, finally letting her curiosity take over.
"Well, Mr. Kang said we have a deal to sign. The companies will be in profit." The father said. Zia scoffed.
"As if" she muttered. Jungkook glanced at her.
Soon enough, the Ex CEO had arrived. They all sat and talked for a while, Zia was forced to be a part of it yet again. She went the through the papers one last time and kept the file down.
"No" she said.
Kang chuckled, "Why do you think you have a say in this?" He said, "All you have to do is sign the papers and meet the clients."
"Zia drop that attitude and sign the papers" Her father said.
"I said No" she said more clearly and stood up.
"Mr. Kim" Kang said to her father, "Let the girl take some time. I'm sure Jungkook can convince her. Otherwise, she has to sign the papers either ways." He smiled, looking all innocent.
Jungkook stared at the floor during the whole thing. His mind didn't cope very wisely at the time. He wanted to say something but make out what. The way Zia said she wouldn't do it, he felt she was determined this time. A part of him wished fir her to be determined, and a small part was confused thinking about himself. What about him, if Zia left? And there he decided, it's not bad to think about yourself. So he did.
"Sure" he voiced, making the three elders look at him and nod in agreement.
"Well, its set then. Jungkook will manage from here." Kang said. They stood and shook hands.
------
"Hello Oppa." Zia spoke looking at the phone screen.
The man smiled and waved at her, "Hello, how are you?" He asked.
"I'm good" she said, smiling a little.
"Zia you know I'm a lawyer and I can tell when people are lying." He said, chuckling. Zia's smile fell, she stared at the phone with a blank expression.
"I'm not good. I'm not fine, not even c-close." She said, biting her lower lip.
"Its okay little one, you can cry. Tell me what's wrong, let it all out." Yoongi said, in his big brother tone. He was truly the one to treat Zia like his little sister and spoil her.
The two rarely met, earlier Zia used to whine to Jimin asking her if she can go visit Yoongi, but they both always said refused. They used to say that it won't be nice if media caught her meeting a lawyer in secret. After period of time she understood and stopped bugging Jimin about it. Though they used to call and chat through text. Recently they all have been too busy to even text a 'hello' but they know, the other person is always there for them.
A tear slipped down. She looked down and wiped it, then shook her head.
"I don't know" she said, "Its just you and specially Jimin, I feel like I can cry my heart out with you guys. Please stop pampering me so much... Or I'll always cry when I see you." She said, chuckling a little as she wiped her tears. Yoongi smiled.
"Hmm I'll think about that." He said.
"Anyways, how are you?" She asked.
"I'm good." He said.
"That's nice to hear. Jimin told me you wanted to talk about something?"
"Oh well, yeah." He nodded, "remember the photos were circulated, fake pictures of you.."
Zia nodded and hummed in response as she waited for Yoongi to continue.
"Well, that day Jeon Jungkook and my men took down the pictures. And I dealt with the person involved in that."
"What do you mean? You didn't kill them right?" She asked. Yoongi chuckled and shook his head.
"Nope, just made them realise what they did wrong. And I told you all of this for a reason."
"Which is?" Zia asked.
"Nobody gets away with hurting my sister. If there's any problem, now or ever in future, you'll tell me or Jimin, whoever is available closely. But tell us." He said. "Do I make myself clear?"
"Very clear big brother!" She chimed, making the older male chuckle.
"Good"
They continued talking for a while, smiling and laughing at random things. Yoongi checked his watch and raised his eyebrows looking back at camera,
"Now you should go to bed its getting late."
"I'm not child oppa, I'm 22, if you forgot."
"Still younger than me. Argue with me when you're older." Yoongi said smiling.
"Alright" She said. "Good night!"
"Good night"
"Oppa wait!" She interrupted just when Yoongi was about to hang up. He looked at her with a 'what?' expression.
"Thank you" she said. "Its always so nice talking to you."
"No problem. You can always all me okay?"
"Okay! Bye."
"Bye" he chuckled and hung up.
