Chapter 09

Its been a tiring day. First half of the day was packed with a photoshoot and in the second half Jimin had an important seminar to attend. Nonetheless, he can cope with all kind of situations. He got up from the bed and grabbed his shirt which he previously threw on the chair.

"Don't go..." The woman said in a raspy voice, probably tired.

Jimin smirked as he buttoned his shirt. It was past midnight, around 3am. He didn't say anything in response.

The woman crawled up to him, grasping his shirt.

"Stay" she whispered seductively as her hands travelled down his waist and her face inches away from his.

Jimin held her hands, slightly pushing her away from him. His eyes ran all over her body, analysing her from head to toe. Averting his gaze from her, Jimin spun on his heels and marched out of the room not touching her again.

The woman sat on the bed alone and confused as in what had caused the sudden change in Jimin's behavior.

____

Jimin walked out of the bathroom after having a relaxing warm shower, only a towel wrapped around his waist. His once tensed muscles were now relaxed and less sore. The water dripped down his wet hair tracing his features as it trickled along his sharp jawline and further falling on his hard toned chest and down his well defined abs.

He headed towards his suitcase which still wasn't unpacked, grabbing his clothes he quickly got dressed and laid on the bed of his hotel room, the third room from left on the 10th floor of this skyscraper hotel.

Jimin stirred his body, making himself comfortable. Even though it was late- almost morning and he hadn't got an ounce of sleep, his eyes didn't look tired.

The pair of dark brown orbs bore blankly into the ceiling. After a few minutes, he sighed and closed his, forcing himself to sleep. Because if he didn't, his mind won't stop wandering.

Just three more days and he would finally be able to go back. He went to casino today just to divert his mind. He thought it would work but it just piled up even more. One more sin. Things were taking too much energy out of him. He had stopped wishing things to get back to normal, he knew it was impossible. Wishing all of this to come to an end and live a normal life would be like wishing for mermaids, dragons and unicorns to exist.

Seems like exaggeration? Its not. And all of them have already accepted the reality, became accustomed to their world.

Jimin had put his phone on silent.
That that didn't stop it from vibrating, just the notification sound was silenced right? It kept vibrating. Once. Twice. Thrice.

The person must've been out of his senses to message someone at this hour. Maybe drunk? Or whatever.

Jimin woke up in the morning around 8. The first thing he wanted to do was to call his manager and ask him to cancel all schedules for today. His body ached.

He reached out for his phone on the side table. Jimin patted the space finding his phone since his eyes were still closed. Ah got it!

With half opened eyes, he looked at the screen as he switched on the phone, but immediately regretted. He squinted his eyes, trying to adjust to brightness of the screen.

12 unread messages.

Not checking the messages first, Jimin called his manager.

"Dave. Cancel whatever there is on my schedule today." Jimin blurted as soon as the call was received.

"Are you still sleeping? Do I pay you to doze off?" Jimin sounded quirky when the manager didn't speak, instead he responded with a sleepy groan.

Dave, his manager, must've said something like 'sorry sir, we can't cancel out thing.' Or 'sir that's not possible.' To which Jimin responded with; "Just do as I say. I have other work for today. Just manage. You're the manager aren't you?" and hung up, leaving it for Dave to struggle and come up with excuses to cancel plans for today.

Oh the messages
Without giving it much thought, he clicked open the inbox to see them.

Unknown:

Hey! Park Jimin is your name right?

I know it is. I know you. A lot more than I'm supposed to know.

You must be thinking who I am. No worries, not everybody knows me. I'm not famous, like you.

Just know that I've been there for a long time, watching you and, what's the name of your girl?

Uh lemme guess! Jessica? No. Zia?  Yes. Zia. Kim Zia

Park Jimin, Kim Zia. Such beautiful names. But not that beautiful past. Am I right?

Ah let me make it clear. You're always free to correct me. Even though you don't need to. I already know enough.

by the way! Have you contacted your best friend? I mean who knows what might happen to her while you're away.

Don't worry. I won't hurt her. Nobody will. I'm not even in Seoul. Or maybe I am? Who knows XD

Since its 4:56 am, I assume you're sleeping. What else do people do when they're tired after a long day, and a long night, right?

I look forward to talking with you!

And and and don't try to appear like a smarty pants and give this number to anyone. Or else there'd be concequences. For you or for your precious girl? Try anything funny and figure it out yourself. Good bye~

"What?" Jimin whispered to himself.

He jolted up from the bed, panick-stricken. The very first thing his mind came across after reading the messages was to call Zia and check if she was okay. And the second thing that came was to call Yoongi and tell him about this.

And for some reason, both the thoughts weren't very nice. He couldn't be impulsive and take decisions.

For one: if he calls Zia in the morning just to ask how she's doing. Or if he just says that he wanted to hear her voice? Wouldn't it be weird and get her suspecious?
And for two: if he calls Yoongi then- then what? Yoongi would have his men all around Seoul and Osaka, where Jimin was.

Jimin had thought he'd be able to relax today and ease his mind. But seems like its gonna be another exhausting day.

He got up from his bed and took a shower. He decided to go out for a while. For a walk maybe? No. For the whole day. Just walking through streets in Osaka. Yeah, that's what he's gonna do.

Around 12 in the noon, and Jimin was walking along the pedestrian. The day was partly cloudy. It wasn't cold, just a little windy. The kind of day Jimin liked.

A pair of ripped jeans, a casual olive t-shirt, a black jacket, a mask and a cap. That's the detail anyone needs to spot Jimin walking down the street. Japan indeed is a beautiful country.

His hands shoved in his pockets as his feet move in a not-so-slow pace. His eyes wandered around the shops and buildings beside the road. Not so crowded, not so empty, just fine to have these many people around.

Jimin noticed Japan also has alleys, which place wouldn't have alleys? Alleys are common. But what's not common was the noise from there. Like someone was trying to get out of a grip? Or maybe fighting? The sound was muffled as if someone was trying to suppress it.

I must be having too much in my head to hallucinate like this.

Jimin shook his head and shrugged the feeling but–

Another sound.

He stopped on his track, realising that he's not hallucinating and the sound is real. A little part of him became happy cheering 'Yay! You're not insane.'

With a heavy heart, he took a step back near the alley that he just passed. Not making himself completely noticable, Jimin peeked in.

Four men. One girl.

Oh no

His eyes showed no emotion. The girl's mouth was tied, she couldn't scream or call anyone for help. Her eyes were red from crying. A part of her shirt, near her shoulder was torn. She probably faught. She was leaning against the wall, a man stood in front of her, dangerously close. His face wasn't visible from where Jimin saw. But the two of the other three had a dirty smirk painted on their lips.

Just then, as if the time stopped. He met the girl's eyes. She was virtually pleading him to save her. Everything inside Jimin froze. The winds appeared to stop, the sun hid behind the clouds, as if they weren't able to stand the scene before them when the man leaned down closer to the girl. She stopped wiggling and struggling, her eyes pinned at Jimin's.

Jimin snapped out of his trans and wiped the sweat that trickled down his forehead. And he walked away, not repeating the mistake of looking in that direction again.

One more thing added.

He mentally cursed himself for looking in that direction. For hearing the sound. For not thinking that he was hallucinating.

But not once did he curse himself for standing there and watching like an asshole instead of trying to save her.
