Chapter: 01

She effortlessly answered all the questions that were thrown at her. The interviewers and reporters were surprised at such excellent presence of mind and her way of keeping up with the answers. It looked like she had answers for all the questions the world wanted. The questions soon finished suggesting the end of the Press Conference. She stood up from her seat and held a formal bow for the people in front of her.

"Thank You for your precious time Miss.Kim." the presenter said showing his gratitude for her.

She nodded in acknowledgement and left the hall. Her bodyguards and manager following her. Her powerful aura surrounding the hallways as she walked towards the elevator. The clicking sound of her heels made everyone to feel her presence.

"Miss, we have a meeting wi-" her manager wanted to say but she cut him off.

"Cancel the meeting" she ordered with sternness in her voice.

"Miss, its an important meeting." He tried to convince her.

"I said cancel the meeting. Or do you prefer loosing your job?" She said giving him a cold glare. He looked down and nodded, not wanting to risk his job.

"So today's work is done. You can go now." She stated. He thanked and bowed to her once they reached the ground floor.

She hopped in the driver's seat, once she reached the parking area of the building, and adjusted the rear view mirror. Touching the mirror, she stared at her reflection. Looking at it with all kind of emotions rushing through her veins. The makeup on her face, making her eyes more attractive, her lips more red and cheeks more pink. Every little detail adding on to her beauty, making her look ethereal.  She chuckled dryly while her eyes pinned to the mirror

"You're enjoying this right?" She asked, her smile slowly fading away, as if the reflection would reply.

She shook her head pushing all the thoughts aside and started the engine, driving off to a place to calm her nerves. To relax her mind and soul.

The beautiful scenery lying in front of her eyes, the moon spreading its light selflessly, the stars grazing the night sky, everything captivated her. It wasn't just a random place for her, in her eyes it was a whole lot of paradise. She admired each and every thing about this place.

This place was like her heart. Not everyone had an access, just some special ones did. Pure like her heart. Like she protected her heart from the cruel world, this place was protected too.

She gazed at the stars, a faint smile slowly making its way to her lips as she looked at the crescent moon. Her body relaxed on the soft green grass as if the grass was gently carressing her skin. The wind also did its work, brushing against her skin where it wasn't covered with a fabric. She sat there for a while, closing her eyes, letting her body recharge from the freshness around her.

Little did she know, her subtle actions made a restless soul smile for a moment.

He glanced at his watch to check the time. 9:35 it showed. He stood at a distance, not wanting to disturb the girl's peaceful moment with nature. Wearing a white shirt with blue pair of jeans and a jacket to prevent him from getting cold. He smiled as he saw her emersed in her surrounding. He took gentle steps towards her, avoiding any disturbance to her. Once he was close enough, he sat next to her. The smile never leaving his face.

"You could've asked me to accompany you. I'm hurt Zia." He said, placing his hand near his heart as if it were aching.

"I came straight from the company Jimin." She said still not looking at him.

She knew his presence very well. His smell, his voice, his vibe. Everything about him was unique. How can she not recognise her only friend, that stayed by her?

"What are you doing here?" She asked, finally averting her eyes from the sky to the person next to her.

"Nelson, called me saying you didn't reach home and you weren't answering our calls. So I just came here finding you." He explained.

She nodded. Only the two of them knew about this place. This place kept all their secrets no matter good or bad.

"Why did you come here?" He questioned.

"I...just wanted to clear my mind." She answered.

"I see. Anyways aren't you feeling cold? You're not even wearing long sleeves." He said in a worried tone as he pointed his finger at her exposed arms.

She chuckled lightly at his behaviour. "A little bit. But its relaxing." She admitted.
"Uh, let's go now." She said swiftly standing up and dusting her pants.

She held out her hand for Jimin to take it and get up as he was still sitting. He accepted it and got up from the grass.

"Did you drive on your own?" She asked while they headed towards their cars.

"No, my driver did and I told him to go back. So I don't have a ride now." He stated.

"Okay."  She said nodding.

"I'll drive." He proposed.

"No, its okay. I'm driving." She said assuring him.

"That wasn't a question, I was telling you that I'll drive." He said.

Zia sighed, she knew she can never win against him. "Fine." She said handing him the keys.

The ride was quiet. None of them wanted to break the comfortable silence. But Zia had to say something. She hesitated at first, thinking if she should say it or not. Jimin noticed the slight change in her behaviour.

"Do you wanna say something?" He asked glancing at Zia.

"Uh...umm..I..-" Jimin sighed as he heard her stuttering.

He never wanted Zia to be uncomfortable around him, not able to speak her thoughts.

"Zi, its okay just say it. I'm listening." He said with a heartwarming smile.

"Can I go with you...to your house? Just for tonight..." She managed to say.

Although she knew Jimin would never say no. But still it was a little embarrassing for her to ask that. She looked down, cursing herself for being so dumb and asking such a stupid question.

"Sure." Jimin responded with a nod.

He didn't question her as in why she wasn't going to her house. Maybe because he knows her way too nicely. He knows when she's fighting with her own thoughts. Her own mind.

"We're here." Zia heard Jimin's voice, bringing her back to reality from her neverending thoughts.

They stood infront of his mansion. The mansion that held so many memories.

Jimin placed his hand gently on her back, giving a comforting and encouraging vibe. He nodded with a 'don't-worry' look on his face. And that was enough for Zia to calm down a little.

"Let's go" he said breaking the silence.

"Hmm" she responded.

She entered the mansion with Jimin silently walking next to her. Her feet automatically taking her towards the stairs. Jimin followed closely behind her.

The maids came to greet her and Jimin but he lifted his hand a little, commanding them not to say anything and leave. He knew exactly what Zia wanted. Peace.

She walked to a room, taking small steps. Each step felt like a step towards safety to her. With each step she was getting more close to breaking down. Breathing deeply, she stopped on her track and.... that's it. She couldn't hold it anymore. A tear rolled down her cheek, her lips trembked and legs didn't cooperate with her body to keep balance. She breathed heavily trying not to cause any sound.

Jimin had seen her suffering. His heart ached at the sight of his best friend crying for for surroundings to stop. He slowly went up to her and placed his hand on her shoulder.

"Its okay, let it all out. I'm here." He whispered lovingly while carressing her back as he pulled her into a hug.

She screamed. Her voice showed the pain, anger and frustration inside her. That she was hiding. Her teary eyes reflected her inner self, a scared, innocent girl, who had nothing to do with this filthy world yet she was dragged into all this mess.

She wasn't standing anymore. She couldn't. She was a crying mess, sitting on the floor, with Park Jimin next to her, hugging her and speaking soothing words of comfort, love and care. That's what she needed right now. His eyes couldn't bear seeing her in so much pain. A tear escaped. He tried holding back his tears because if he started crying then who will console his best friend? The only person he was so close to.

Her painful screams, her fearful eyes and her trembling body were enough to rip out a living soul. Only if anyone could be as strong as her. Only if the world was brave enough to face her. She never showed this side to the world. This Zia. The world only knew the Zia who was known as one of the most influential personalities in the business and entertainment industry.

But this side of her was not like that. This was the reality Kim Zia existed only for the world of cameras and this, this was the reality. So harsh, so bitter, so terrifying that even Zia was scared of this reality. It was Dark, enough to engulf anyone and everyone who ever tried to change it.

But Jimin, he was a unique exception in Zia's reality. He stood there to fight the darkness with her. Her saviour, that's what she called him once. He was the star that accompanied her dark night and provided light.

Jimin held her tightly in his arms as if she'll break if he let's go. Zia was never alone in this. Jimin had an equal share in the sufferings. He remembered each and everything that gradually yet drastically changed their lives.

From the day he met her, he saw a bright, cheerful girl changing into someone who was constantly fighting to survive. And Zia, she saw a happy boy changing into a cautious man who would do anything to keep himself and and his friend protected.

This was going to be a long night for them.
