It was a couple of hours after the battle and the sun started to set that everything came back on, which included the lights that were on the outside of the base, and all the Autobots saw what kind of mess that they had to deal with. The Autobots that were not injured from the battle were either helping clean up, or helping the injured. Of course, Bella was in med bay helping out Ratchet and any other Autobot that wanted to help in there, rather than clean up outside, which there was few of them. Among the injured were Ultra Magnus, Skids, Mudflap, Melany, Mirage, Seaspray, Cliffjumper, Powerglide, Sideswipe, Grimlock, Snarl, Jazz, Drift, Blurr, Beachcomber, Tailgate, Goldbug, and Crosshairs. Bella, Ratchet, and the others who were helping, had their hands full, since one of the patients was Grimlock, who, from experience, was not going to be easy at all. While outside, the Autobots that were helping with the cleanup, had their hands full as well, because this time Devastator was involved in the battle, so there was a lot of things to do, and a lot of things that had to be put back into place. Warpath was one of the Autobots helping out, along with Bulkhead, Smokescreen, Hound, Sludge, Swoop, Slag, Wheeljack, Bumblebee, Ironhide, Elita-One, Roadbuster, Gears, Grapple, Huffer, and Flare-Up.

Every Autobot that was available had their work cut out for them, since they were either helping clean up outside or helping out inside with the injured, except for Perceptor. Perceptor was in his lab, still examining the device that Bella had found in the main computers control panel right before the battle started, since Optimus gave him permission to do it. Although he was having trouble figuring out what all the components that were insider the small device were, he eventually found something that he could report to Optimus about. So he quickly got up, ran out of his lab to go find Optimus, but he then remembered something, and ran back to his lab and grabbed the device, and then he ran back out to find Optimus. He looked around for awhile and then he saw Prowl in Med bay helping the Autobots who were injured, so he walked over to him and asked where Optimus was at. Prowl pointed in Optimus' direction, and Perceptor thanked Prowl, and then walked over to Optimus with the device in hand.

"Optimus." Perceptor said.

"Hello Perceptor." Optimus said.

"I have found something that would interest you about the device that Bella found." Perceptor said.

"What did you find?" Optimus asked.

"Well at first I had a hard time figuring out what the components inside of it were, and what they did, since they are not Cybertronian, but from here on Earth. I was trying to figure out where on Earth they might have come from, and I was trying to figure it out for a while, but I eventually found out where they can be found.." Perceptor responded.

"So, where on Earth are those components found?" Optimus asked.

"Do you remember a couple months back, when the Decepticons raided that Warehouse and got away with all of that stuff not far from here?" Perceptor asked.

"Yes I do. What about it?" Optimus responded.

"Well it turns out that some of the things the Cons took were the exact components that are in this little device." Perceptor said.

"So what you are saying is that the Decepticons built this device?" Optimus asked.

"Yes. That is exactly what I am saying, and I think Shockwave is the one that built it." Perceptor responded.

"For what purpose exactly?" Optimus asked.

"Well from what happened today, I would say that it was so that we wouldn't be able to know that they were coming." Perceptor responded.

"I see. Thank you Perceptor." Optimus said.

"No problem Optimus." Perceptor said.

"You may go back to your lab now if you want, or you can help out the others." Optimus said.

"I will." Perceptor said.

As Perceptor walked away from Optimus, the Autobots that were helping out in Med bay were having trouble with Grimlock, since he was being very uncooperative. So Arcee, Wheelie, Bluestreak, Topspin, Brawn, Sunstreaker, Long arm, and Hoist held Grimlock down so that he wouldn't do any more harm to him self while Bella, Ratchet, Red alert, and Fix-it patched him up. It took a while because Grimlock would not stop moving no matter what anyone did. Until Bella looked him straight in the optics and threatened that if he didn't stop moving she would make it much more painful for him, by not patching him up, and that made him stop squirming. After about a couple of minutes they finally patched him up and sent him on his way, which he seemed to be really happy about, so they then finished patching up all the other injured Autobots within a half-an-hour.

Bella was glad that she had finally got done with the injured Autobots, because she was already feeling tired when she had to help out with the others out with Grimlock. So she went and found Optimus and told him that all of the wounded have been patched up. Optimus then thanked her for the report and then told her that she could power down for the rest of the day if she wanted to, which she did want to. As she headed towards her room, Bella heard something from outside, and everyone else must of heard it, because they were all heading towards the entrance. Bella thought that the Decepticons were back and still had some fight left in them, but when she reached the entrance she didn't see any Decepticons, but she did see a human Helicopter landing, and then she knew that the human Government had come to check up on them. 

It had been a long time since the humans had checked up on them, and she knew that the humans that had come, would be very surprised from the mess. As everyone stood and watch the helicopter land, Optimus walked out of the base and started to walk towards it. When the helicopter finally stopped, and the doors opened, the ones who stepped out were Agent William Fowler, and Colonel Lennox. When they got out, they looked around and they saw the damage that was around the base and then they saw Optimus and they started to walk towards him.

"Optimus." Agent Fowler said.

"Agent Fowler. Colonel Lennox. It has been a while." Optimus said.

"Yes it has." Lennox said.

"What happened here?" Agent Fowler said.

"The Decepticons initiated a surprise attack a few hours ago." Optimus responded.

"Well it looks like you have a lot of repairs to do around here from what I can see." Lennox said.

"Yes we do have a lot of repairs to do Colonel Lennox. But we can manage it." Optimus said.

"How many times have the Decepticons attacked since the last time we were here Optimus?" Fowler asked.

"From what I can remember, they attacked us about 5 to 6 times since the last time you were here." Optimus responded.

"Interesting." Fowler said.

"Have there been any new Autobots that have come here since we were last here Optimus." Lennox asked.

"Yes there has. Just one though." Optimus responded.

"Oh really? When was that?" Lennox asked.

"Just yesterday actually." Optimus responded.

"Oh. Well that is interesting." Lennox said.

"So where is this new Autobot at?" Fowler asked.

"She's inside the base. She got some damage from the battle, and just got finished being patched up." Optimus responded.

"Oh. So this new Autobot is a female. What is her name?" Fowler asked.

"Her name is Melany, and it turns out that her and another Autobot here were very close friends back on Cybertron." Optimus responded and gave Bella a look, telling her to come over there.

"That is very interesting. Which Autobot is it?" Fowler asked.

"It's me, sir." Bella said as she approached them.

"I see." Lennox said as he looked in her direction.

"It's Bella right?" Fowler asked.

"Yes, sir." Bella said as she stopped and stood beside Optimus.

"If I remember correctly, and please correct me if i'm wrong, but the last time we were here, you were the newest Autobot here. Weren't you?" Lennox asked.

"Yes I was, sir." Bella responded.

"Alright then." Lennox said.

"Is it okay if I ask you a few questions about your friend inside Bella?" Lennox asked.

"Yes, it is alright with me, sir." Bella responded.

"Good, and I might want to ask your friend Melany some questions as well. If she is okay enough to talk." Lennox said.

"She is well enough to talk, since it was only the nose of her jet mode that was damaged when we were trying to get away from Devastator, who was sucking everything towards him, sir." Bella said.

"I'm guessing that he was the one that made all of this mess then." Fowler said.

"Most of it, sir." Bella said.

"Alright then." Fowler said.

"Now, why don't we continue this inside?" Lennox asked.

"That would be a good idea." Optimus said as he started walking towards the base.

So as Optimus, Bella, Agent Fowler, Colonel Lennox, and some other bots went back inside the base, the other Autobots continued to clean up the outside of the base as much as they could before they went in for the night. When Optimus, Bella, Agent Fowler, and Colonel Lennox went inside, Bella led them to the Med Bay since that was where Melany was. Since Colonel Lennox and Agent Fowler wanted to meet her, and because Lennox wanted to ask both Bella and Melany some questions. Once they reached Med bay, Bella saw Melany just laying there, until she looked over and saw her, and sat up. Melany didn't see Colonel Lennox and Agent Fowler at first because they were behind Bella, but once she moved out of their way, Melany looked down and saw them and she did not know what to do at that point, since she did not know who they were. There was a landing in Med bay that was probably a little bit lower compared to how tall Optimus was, but Colonel Lennox, and Agent Fowler both climbed up the steps so that Melany and the others could see them better. 

Melany did not know what was going on at first, but when Bella walked over to her and said that they were with the government and were checking in on how we were doing. But when she was told that they wanted to meet her and ask both of them some questions, she stood up and walked over to the landing with Bella right beside her. Melany greeted them both, and asked them who they were and why did they decide to visit now. Colonel Lennox and Agent Fowler answered her two questions and told her that it was good to see that the Autobots have some more help against the Decepticons now. Even if it is just one more Autobot, they needed all the help they could get. So after they answered her question they decided to start asking the questions they wanted to ask both Melany, and Bella.

"So you two knew each other back on Cybertron?" Lennox asked.

"Yes we did, sir." Melany responded.

"We were very best friends, sir." Bella said.

"Did you know each other before the war?" Fowler asked.

"Yes we did, about 12 years before the war started, sir." Bella responded.

"What about after the war broke out? Where you two still close?" Fowler asked.

"Yes we were, sir." Melany responded.

"We were in a team together, with some very good friends of ours that we had know for a long time, before the war started, sir." Bella said.

"Oh so you two were on a team back on Cybertron?" Lennox asked.

"Yes we were, sir." Bella responded.

"Who was the leader of the team?" Fowler asked.

"Bella was, sir." Melany responded.

"Oh. Bella you never mentioned that the last time we were here." Fowler said.

"Why didn't you mention that before Bella?" Lennox asked.

"I didn't mention it last time you were here, sirs, because when I lost all of my teammates to the Decepticons. I felt like I let all of them down as a leader, and I told myself that the only way to get over that, was to forget all about it, and never think about ever again, no matter what." Bella responded.

"So did you ever think about it ever again?" Lennox asked.

"Yes I did, sir." Bella responded.

"When was that?" Fowler asked.

"When Melany showed up, sir." Bella responded as she glanced at Melany, then looked down.

"I see." Fowler said.

"I think that is enough questions for now Agent Fowler and Colonel Lennox." Optimus said when he noticed Bella lower her head.

"Alright. Thank you for answering our questions Bella and Melany." Fowler said.

"No problem, sir." Melany said, as she looked over at Bella and noticed that she had her head down.

"Well then, it seems that everything is good here. I think its time for us to go now Agent Fowler." Lennox said.

"I agree." Fowler said. "Oh and Optimus, if you need supplies for repairing the base, you know who you can call. Right?"

"Yes, I do Agent Fowler." Optimus said.

As Agent Fowler and Colonel Lennox headed to the helicopter, with Optimus walking behind them to talk to them privately, Melany noticed that Bella had disappeared after the questioning and decided to go find her. Melany started to worry that something was wrong when she noticed that Bella looked kind of sad after that last question that was asked. While outside the helicopter started up and lifted up into the sky and flew away into the distance, and Optimus stood there until the helicopter went out of view over the setting sun. Optimus then started to walk back into the base, but he first told the Autobots that were working out there, that they should get some rest, and that they can continue working tomorrow. While Melany was still looking around for Bella, she knew that Bella had a very hard time talking about her past, especially about what happened to her team back on Cybertron. Melany knew this because Bella told her that when they were catching up yesterday, so Melany knew that Bella would want to be alone, but Melany always said that no one should ever have to be alone.

So Melany thought that Bella might have gone to her quarters, so that was where Melany headed to. Once she got there, she knocked on the door but there was no answer, so she knocked on the door a second time, and this time she heard Bella ask who it was. Melany told her who it was, and Bella told her that the door was unlocked. So Melany then opened the door to see Bella holding an old picture of the her team back on Cybertron, which included, Bella, Melany, Wildfire, Slash Jaw, Drago, Pierce, Blades, Marco, and Stella. Melany walked over to Bella's bed and sat down right beside her and told her that what happened to their friends was not her fault. Bella looked at her friend and gave a little smile, then thanked her for saying that, and then looked back at the picture. Bella had always thought that it was somehow her fault that all of her friends were killed, and she sometimes thought that it should of been her, and not her teammates.

But yesterday, when she found out that one of her teammates survived, she felt differently, and then when her friend told her that it wasn't her fault just a moment ago, she believed her. She just wished that more than just Melany survived the war on Cybertron, she wished that Wildfire, Blades, Slash Jaw, and the rest of the team were still alive. But she knew that it was impossible to bring them back, well Bella did think about Dark Energon, but then she reconsidered since it was a bad idea. Bella knew she had to get over her teammates deaths eventually, and she decided that now was a good time to do it. So she started to think about all the Autobots that she has come to know here on earth, and all of the good times they have had. She knew that they were the closet thing to family that she had known ever since she got here, and she felt complete knowing that her best friend and teammate was there to share it with her.
