Entry One: A Strange Day

Dear Diary,

Today was a really strange day. And before you ask, no. My Dad still hasn't shown up yet. A lot of strange stuff happened, but as disappointing as it is, my dad coming back isn't one of them.

But still. You're not gonna believe what happened. Okay, okay, I'm getting too excited. Let me start from the beginning.

It all started this morning. As you probably know by now, it's either day 181 or 182. I'm not sure if there's a leap year or not, but that doesn't matter right now.

Dad still haven't come back yet. It's been six months since I've returned, and he still haven't come back. And as much as I didn't wanna admit it, I was starting to lose hope.

Did he...forget about me? No. He's my dad. He wouldn't forget about his own daughter. It was honestly quite strange to me.

At first, I thought Dad might have been just too busy. But last time I checked, whenever he went deal-making, he never took this long.

It would often take an hour or two. Sometimes, longer, as he'd come back when the day was nearly over. Sometimes, he'd be back much sooner.

But six months? This never happened before. I was starting to think he'd never come back. But...he has to. Dads shouldn't leave their daughters behind like this. Doesn't he remember what Mom always said about family?

Then again, Mom left when I was forty years old, and never came back. Looking back, Dad didn't like talking about her.

I was too young to understand or even notice at all, but looking back, I think he was....angry at her. Resentful. It was the more reason to not let me come with him.

Why did Mom leave us like that? Why haven't she come back yet? That's what I always wondered.

But as the early morning went on, a scary thought popped into my head. What if Dad was doing the same thing? What if he was doing the same stunt my mom did?

I was so worried by that possibility, I decided to try to clear my head. I left my area of the mindscape and decided to wander around.

The mindscape was an endlessly big place. As I floated, I watched the dreams of many mortals from the physicals and even their own fantasies beginning to manifest.

Sometimes, I felt envious. Even of my own mother. Even though Dad and I were confined to the mindscape and could only talk to mortals through dreams, Mom could enter their home whenever she pleased.

I never talked to humans. When I was little, Dad wanted me to stay home. Stay put. Where no humans were around to talk to. And it's not like I could try to behind his back.

I always had a babysitter holding me back.

As I watched the dreams of some happy children, I realized something. Dad may have not come back yet, but I was also alone. Neither of his friends were here either.

Pyronica. Eight Ball. Keyhole. Teeth. Zanthar. Hectorgon. Not even Krypto. I was alone in the mindscape, and neither my Dad or his friends could stop me from doing one of the things I always wanted to do: talk to the people that came from the world I have been fascinated by ever since I was a child.

I decided to head back home, way more positive with the reality that I could talk to humans and other mortal creatures whenever I wanted. So, my confidence boosted up by the time I got home.

By then, I had taken a human disguise I've recently made. I looked like a young girl, with short blonde hair. Wearing a red sweater with a yellow eye on it.

I was so excited and so confident, that by the time I've arrived, I was just singing happy song of my own. All while doing all my favorite hobbies.

Drawing. Painting. Sketching. Sewing. Pottery. You know the drill. Eventually, I started to settle down, and this is when the crazy parts of my day begins.

Just as I was gonna pack up some things so I could chat and interact with humans, I heard a crashing noise, along with a yelp, which was odd, because, again, I was alone.

So, I turn around, and I couldn't believe my own eye. It was a human. Right in front of me. In my home. He was a young boy that seemed to be about my age.

He had light colored skin, and his nose was a light red. He had brown hair, and wore a fuzzy hat. He wore a sleeveless teal jacket with a red shirt underneath, and gray shorts.

I couldn't believe it. No human had ever wondered into my home like this. I was bursting with excitement. I was gonna give the boy a happy welcome and greet him, but as I helped him get on his feet, I noticed the way he looked at me.

There was a look of anxiety written across his face. I thought I even saw fear. I could even hear his thoughts, asking himself if I was a "threat".

Me? Threatening? I wasn't that scary, was I? I assured the human that I meant him no harm, and as I introduced myself, I asked for his name.

Dipper.  That was the name of my new friend.

I was so excited to meet a real human. So excited, that I decided to start with some activities. And he actually took me in on the offer, though for some reason, I think he's actually scared of me.

Like, I suggested that we play with puppets and he screamed "no!" all of a sudden. Don't get me wrong. I can take no for an answer. But he didn't have to scream. He could've said it more politely and calmly.

But then, when I pulled out my usual  puppets that I play with, he calmed down a bit and looked at me with surprise. He didn't think I was talking about real puppets.

I was confused and asked what he thought I was talking about. And his answer almost caught me off guard. He thought I was gonna turn HIM into a puppet.

As in, go inside his body and take control. Why in the multiverse would I do something so horrible? I mean, I did learn how to possess bodies, but it was one time. I was still training with my mentor when I first used it.

I was a good person, and I never found a good use for my ability.  Why did he think I would do such a thing? Did another demon do the same thing to him?

Brushing that aside, I offered chess, and he liked the idea. We played the game for a good few hours. I wanna brag, but I was a pretty good player. I beat him for about three times.

After I won the third time, I asked if he wanted to play again or do something else. However, he wanted to ask an unrelated question. He wanted to ask about my DAD of all people.

And like the sweet daughter I was, I filled him in. Told him about who my dad was and how sweet he is. Even told him about the Weirdmadegeon and how much of a paradise it was gonna be when he finally unleashes it.

However, Dipper looked at me. In a way that looked like disbelief. He seemed also shocked. I was a little confused by this, so I asked him why he wanted to know about my dad.

You wanna know what he said? He met him before. Last summer. I heard of summer, but never witnessed it before. I don't really know much of it.

But still, knowing that Dipper knew who my dad was gave me a shimmer of hope. I was so excited by this. Within those seconds, my head was consumed by the thought of my new friend reuniting me with my long-lost father.

However, my excitement froze when Dipper dropped something else unexpectedly. He may have knew my dad, but that didn't mean they were friends. They were enemies.

What took me off was that the Weirdmadegeon wasn't exactly the paradise I was thinking of and that my own father wasn't exactly who I thought he was. I wanted answers.

I wanted to know what Dipper meant. Unfortunately, he couldn't answer my questions, because the next thing I knew we both heard a voice calling his name and he began to fade away.

He didn't have time to explain. Just....poof. He was gone, leaving me alone. Not only was I alone, I didn't have any answers.

I need to find a way how to get out of the mindscape and into the real world. If Dipper really met my dad, he is probably still out there.

Surely, he's in Gravity Falls. I've never been there, but I was told that's where he goes deal-making most of the time.

You may think this is all that happened until Dipper ran into me later on, but there's a lot more to the story.

After he disappeared, I began to wait for him for hours. Seven hours passed to be precise. I was starting to think he wasn't coming when I saw some portal slowly open up.

At first, I thought it was him. But it was a pair of humans I didn't recognize. They both wore black professional suits and black sunglasses. One had light blonde hair and the other had brown. One was a woman, the other was a man.

They grabbed me and dragged me over to their side of the portal, then strapped me to a table. I think their names were Agent One and Agent Two.

Something gave me a bad feeling about them. But before they do anything to me, someone stopped them.

Someone had bursted through the door. She had large golden wings, made entirely of feather. She has black demonic face with white eyes, one of which is a big X, and sharp teeth, alongside the curved black horns.

The agents send out more humans to deal with my savior. However, as soon they started coming at her, she pulls out a weapon.

It's a long black stick, with a big triangular shaped blade at the top.  She single handedly fought each of the agents' friends.

She swung her blade. She got through them in ways no one could imagine. Some of the humans, she had lashed the blade at their necks, tearing off their heads which collided into the hard ground.

Some, she managed to tear their skeletons right out of their bodies, and use the spines to strangle them by the neck.

Some, she'd either rip out their heart or their intestines, and shove them down their throats. Some, she'd either gouge their eyes or rip out their lower jaws.

Some, she'd impale them with her blade through the abdomen. The ways she fought through the humans, I couldn't help but it was a little...brutal.

I've seen a lot of strange things to be honest. But this much blood and violence... I've never been exposed to it this much.

It continued on until my savior was covered in the blood of the humans she fought through. Agent One and Agent Two tried to stop her when she began to approach.

My savior grabbed Agent Two, pinned her to the ground, and snapped her wrist. Agent One ran to attack, but my savior grabbed him by his head, forced him onto his knees, and bashed his head into the ground.

With the agents alive, though gravely injured, my saviors approaches me. Her demonic face turns out to be some helmet, as she slips it off and I get a glimpse at her true face.

Her face is more human-like. She has soft-looking lips, a long pointed nose, yellow eyes and short white hair.

She asks if I was okay. I was a little distracted by her beauty, but I say yes after a moment. All of sudden, there's red flashing lights, and loud, ear-piercing sounds.

Wasting no time, my savior cuts me free and picks me up. She runs through the hallways, and spreads her wings as she takes off.

I hang on to her as she carries me to the exit door, and kicks it open. One second as we were outside, my savior soars into the sky, flapping her large wings as we moved away from the building we were just in.

She didn't land again until we were in a forest far, far away from the building. As she sets me down, I noticed her wounds.

While she did manage to fight her way brutally through the opposing humans, there were times where they managed to get a single strike out of her.

She let me heal her wounds with my powers, and while I was doing the work, I thanked her. And gave my name.

She froze for moment afterwards, but I assumed it was nothing. She introduces herself as Evelyn. I told her it was a pretty name, and she says the same about me.

However, for short moment when she lefted my chin up, I thought she was gonna kiss me. But she stopped herself and turned away. Then she said we had to get going.

As we were walking in the forest, I asked Evelyn if she ever saw my dad anywhere. She shook her head. Then she asked how I  got caught up with those agents.

I told her everything that happened in my life. My dad, his friends, the whole incident with that scary and the years I spent with the Axolotl. All the way to waiting for my dad for six months, only to meet Dipper and later get dragged into this world by those agents.

I even mentioned how this was my first time here in this world. The world I wanted to explore, and never got to see when I was young of age.

Evelyn offered to help me find him. I was overjoyed. I had a new friend, someone that was so so nice, just like Dipper.

We continued walking through the forest until we came across a really big building. Evelyn says it's a hotel, where people often stay in for a little bit while they're on a trip.

It was late. The sky was pitch black with white glowing stars. It was about time we both settled down. Two humans, a lovely married couple, greeted us when we walked in.

As Evelyn talked to the wife about booking a room, I noticed the husband looking at me. It was like he was somewhat familiar with me. I never met him just to be clear.

I didn't understand why he was staring at me like that. It was like I did something to make him upset. It was honestly making me uncomfortable.

Before the whole thing calculated any further, the woman had given Evelyn the key to our room, and Evelyn took my hands and started leading me to something called a elevator.

Thankfully, I was brought out of unease. That's all for now, diary. Now that I'm finally in the world I dreamed of venturing into, I'm more hopeful for the future.

Write again soon!
