Chapter 5

I looked around the Cullen house. Nothing changed. Everything was the same.

Alice's little sparkling box on the coffee table that was to small to put anything in. Rosalie's white fluffy pillows on almost every couch and how she said and I quote, "they are too good for you to sit in Bella!"

I walked around the living room looking all around me. The ceiling, the walls, the furniture........

I took in every little detail of this room. I didn't want to forget a single thing. My thoughts were then disturbed by Emmett running into the room and tackling me to the floor.

I screamed in surprise. "Emmett! What on earth was that for?" I yelled hitting him in a playful way while he was on top of me.

"Just for fun. I was waiting for the right time." He laughed.

I pushed him away and smiled to myself. And that's what I will miss most. How I was apart of their family and how we'd always joke around.

I forgot how much I loved this place and the people who made me love it so much.

Everyone walked in the room then. Esme ran up to me first. I could see the surprise and joy in her eyes.

"Bella!" She smiled hugging me and kissing me like a mother would after she hasn't seen her daughter in a while.

"What are you doing here?" She asked still hugging me.

Honestly I didn't know why I was here. The only thing I knew was that I was glad to be back.

So I told her the first thing that came to my mind. "Edward and I were hanging out and he suggested to come here. I'm glad he did, I missed it here."

I smiled. Esme released her arms and gently rubbed my face." I'm so glad Bella, we all missed you a lot."

She moved out of my way. I saw that a line had sorta formed behind her. Next was Alice.

"Hey Bella!!!" Alice said in her cute bubbly voice. She gave me a beautiful smile showing all her extravagant white teeth and pulled me into a hug.

When she released me she looked me over from head to toe.

"Have I taught you nothing about fashion!?" Alice said enhancing her voice on the word "nothing".

I looked at what I was wearing. I was confused. I dressed casual like I do everyday. I was wearing a short sleeved v-neck that was a striped shirt. One strip was a light yellow and another was a normal colored yellow.

For pants I wore blue jeans and then I wore white high top Converse sneakers. Knowing that I was going to get myself into trouble for asking this, I did.

"What's wrong with what I'm wearing!?" I asked.

Alice gasped as if I could see what she was talking about. "First, if you wear that shirt, you where your hair in a high ponytail not down." She started.

I sighed. I regretted this already.

"Then, those jeans are too baggy! You can't even see that those sneakers are high tops. And lastly, you're wearing high tops!!!"

She cringed and made a disgusted look when she said "high tops". I rolled my eyes and laughed in disbelief.

"Seriously! You want to talk about high tops! What is wrong with them. They are actual Converse! Not knock offs and they match with every article of clothing I have!"

Alice sighed. "Bella. Converse are a school thing. Casual." She said as if it was a simple concept.

"And this isn't casual?" I asked.

"No! It is not casual here! Do you ever see me walking around in sweatpants and a sweatshirt like I just rolled out of bed!? Have you seen what I'm wearing!?" She asked, her hands pointing to her dress.

She was wearing a knee length dress that was tight until the waist and then angled out. It was filled with different types of big flowers. It had white lace on the top that stopped below her neck and continued over the shoulders.

It definitely wasn't casual but it was nice for occasions.

"Nobody told you to dress like this everyday so you don't have to!" I said. I was just trying to prove a point. You can't say I'm wrong.

"Well I like to look presentable." Alice shot back.

I then got an idea.

"Okay. I bet that you can't get through an entire week wearing casual clothes." I challenged.

"Is this a bet?" Alice asked a little shocked about my cockiness.

"Maybe it is. And to add to this bet we'll also throw in a prize. If you can be casual for a whole week, me picking out your attire, I will give you $10 and let you pick out what I wear everyday for 2 months!"

Alice thought about it for a moment.

"What happens if you win?" Alice asked intrigued by the challenge but not yet decided.

I made an evil smile. "I get the money and you can't say anything about my clothes for the next 6 months!" I said.

She gasped. "2 months!"

"No deal." I said simply.

"3 months!?"

"No deal."

"Well how am I supposed to live 6 months without telling you the rules of feminism!?" Alice shouted.

"Oh so you're saying that you think you'll lose the bet?" I asked knowing that I'm getting on her nerves.

She was about to say something but she held it back. She was in deep thought about this.

"N-n-no. I can get through a week." Alice said with little to no confidence.

Okay then, 6 months it is." I said. "Are you in?" I asked holding out my hand.

Alice debated for a second while jumping and flailing her arms in the air.

She then turned to Rosalie for advice. They did quick little whispering.

I cut them off. "Shall we make it 9 months?" I asked in a bitchy way.

Alice turned quickly around." No no no!! 6 months is bad enough!"

I laughed. "Okay 6 it is." We shook hands.

"I'll come by tomorrow and drop off your first set of clothes." I said to Alice.

"And Emmett. Since I won't be here all day to watch her, I'd would like you make sure she stays in her outfit." I said.

"And if she doesn't?" Emmett asked rubbing his hands together.

"Tackle her. Do whatever you can to stop her." I said before I got another brilliant idea. I turned to face Alice. "And if you do get out of the clothes I will add another month every time you do."

Emmett laughed mockingly at Alice.

I laughed too. I was glad that we were all doing something as a family. This would be fun.

I don't know what will happen this week but I am prepared. Even if it means Alice trying to rip my head off.

As the line continued after Alice I thought about my reconnection with the family.

All the movies and books that said you couldn't be friends with your ex were wrong.

This is the happiest I've been in a long time. And I don't have any feelings for Edward.

I have feelings for Jacob. I know this will work out.

As it got dark out I went to my truck. Tomorrow I will come back and annoy the crap out of Alice just like I did today.

I laughed at that thought. Obviously Alice knew I was messing with her.

When I broke up with Edward I thought I'd lose all of our shared connections but we didn't.

I smiled, got out of my car, and dreamt of the day, months, and years to come.

Hi. I hope you like this chapter. I'm sorry if it wasn't long enough. I'm going to try to make the next one longer.
