Jacob has been gone for 2 weeks and I have been getting more worried everyday.

What if Jake doesn't cone back? What if he dies? I keep those thoughts out of my head.

I hear a knock on the door and instantly run.

Jake! Jake! Jake!

I swing the door open and jump on him. He holds me there for a while. I breathe in his scent. Its very different.

I look up. I can't believe myself. I just hugged Edward!!!!!

I pry myself off of him and run back inside. He comes in after me.

"What are you doing here!!!?" I scream at him.

He walks up to me but I back away.

"Bella its an emergency." Edward says in his deep serious voice.

He walks up to me and tries to put his hand on my shoulder. I hesitate, stepping back a step, but then calm down.

He looks into my eye for a second before I look away.

He sighs heavily. I guess I'm being difficult. Too bad.

"Bella. I'm sorry."

"Oh well you said sorry. That resolves everything!!" I say sarcastically.

He chuckles but then gets serious.

"Bella I know I abandoned you but-"

"Abandon doesn't even begin to explain what you did. You embarrassed me, yelled at me, and used me!!!"

I was furious now. Whenever I'm with Edward I'm like a totally different person. I can't contain my anger toward him, I can't!!

He used to make me feel safe but now I don't even know if I can trust him.

"I know. And you don't know how much I regret that." Edward says slow and calm.

I roll my eyes.

"Is there a reason why you're here?!" I ask in a bitchy way.

His face doesn't look happy. Something must be wrong!

"Bella. Cassie is after you." Edward says.

I don't know what to say. I go upstairs into my room and sit on my bed. I need to be in a safe environment when I find out more details.

"She can't get to me, can she?" I ask. The stress is rolling in and it gives me the chills. I shake it off quickly.

"Sadly yes."

"How can that be? She has no powers!" I start to yell.

Edward sits down next to me and stokes my hair.

"She does have a power. Its very strong. You can die Bella!" His voice sounded like he was in deep pain.

I think about my life. Instantly stopping, all memories breaking like glass, falling into an endless black hole of nothing and everything.

"What's her power?" I asked.

"She has a power to turn invisible and automatically disappear. I wouldn't be able to read her mind. She can pick up anything and make it invisible with her if she wanted to. She can literally kill you right in front of me and I wouldn't be able to help or save you!"

I start to clam up. Its like my whole world is coming to end. I can't die yet. I haven't even lived my life yet! There's still so much for me to learn!!

"When is she coming." I ask quietly.

Edward shrugged.

"Anywhere between tonight and tomorrow morning."

I start to breathlessly sob. Edward puts his arms around me. There's no point in resisting anymore.

I open my arms and sob even harder. He starts stroking my hair again and I grip him tighter.

I can't let him go. He's all I have right now. With Jake gone, he's the only one I can rely on for safety.

I slowly take my arms off Edward and stare at him.

"I miss you." I whispered before kissing him.

After a minute he stops and leans back away from me.

"Bella, are you okay?" Edward asked in his deep concerned voice.

I breathe in.

"I don't know." I say honestly.

"Are you sure you want to do this."

I nod before smashing into his lips. I needed this. Just to get away from reality for a minute. (For all you pervs out there, they were just kissing! Nothing more!)

After a while Edward had to leave. I didn't want him to, I really couldn't be alone tonight.

Edward insisted that I was going to be okay. He tucked me into bed and kissed me good night. He even told me that he loved me.

"I love you too." I say.

Edward leaves and I fall asleep. I start to dream about my memories of Forks. The ones that have stuck with me for as long as I can remember.

My first day at school, my first kiss with Edward, the first of many times I was in danger.

To think of all that slipping away from me. I can't.

Suddenly I can't breathe. I wake up gasping for air. Silently crying and screaming for Edward.

Now I see Cassie. Smiling evilly above me, her cold hands wrapped around my fragile throat.

She let's go and I roll on the floor gasping and breathing heavily.

"That's just a preview of what's going to happen to you!!" She's says.

I look up at her, glaring.

"Why do you care so much about killing me!" I say breathlessly.

She grabs me by my chin, making me look up at her.

"Because I love Edward! But all he cares about is the appetizer he calls a friend!!" She hissed.

"Its not my fault that I'm not a bitch!" I yell at her.

With that she threw me back on the ground and kicked me in the stomach.

Have you ever had someone punch you, push you to the ground, then kick you in the stomach?

Have you ever had a vampire do that?

I start coughing and throwing up. She smiles.

"Oh and if you tell Edward about this, I will kill your wolf friend and slit your throat right in front of Edward. Your blood will look so good, he'd just have to finish you off."

And with that, she left.

I stay on the ground. Goodbye life as I know it.
