3 weeks after the Break Up

I woke up on the couch. I was wrapped in a blanket and wearing my clothes from yesterday.

I sighed. I hate waking up. Reality hits me and there's no going back.

I wish I was sleeping beauty. Just sleep forever and not wake up. But if a prince wakes me up I swear I will murder him!!! I think to myself.

I get up slowly. There was really no rush. I didn't have to go anywhere or even want to for that matter.

I walked into my kitchen and picked out a blueberry muffin and then sat at my kitchen table.

For the past few weeks I've really been depressed. I lost my best friend and boyfriend.

I haven't spoken to Edward in weeks. I wonder how he is. Alice is probably telling him about me and laughing about it.

I looked over to the kitchen counter and spit out some of my blueberry muffin. My phone. I forgot about that thing.

Ever since that break up text from Jacob, I haven't looked at it. I turned it on. 3 calls and 12 messages from Angela, 1 call and 7 messages from Edward, and 1 message from Jake.

I called Edward. I wanted to see him and I still haven't apologized. He answered on the 4th ring.

E: Bella?

B: Uh, hi. Edward. I just wanted to say that I'm sorry.

E: Oh yeah. Its fine. Bye

B: no wait! Do you think that you can come over?

E: Uh?

B: Please.

E: I guess.

He hung up then. I got dressed quickly. I'm happy that he is coming over. I put on some make up and a lot more perfume than usual.

I opened the door and waited outside for him. I had nothing better to do so why not?

I looked at my watch, 9:57. I called him at 9:34 and it usually takes him 5 minutes to come over.

Something wasn't right. He is never late. I got up from the ground and went inside to find my phone on the kitchen table.

No messages or anything.

I start to bite my nails. I hope he is okay. Tears start streaming down my face. If he's hurt..........

I can't even think about it. I wipe off my tears with a tissue and I see the door open slightly.

"Bella?"

I knew that voice. Edward. I ran up to him and hugged him from behind.

He turned in my grip to face me. He wrapped his arms around me then lifted me off of him. That's new, I think.

"Why were you late? I thought you were hurt!" I said rubbing my eyes.

"Uh, there's something I need to tell you." Edward said leading me to the couch.

I sat down. I was confused. Extremely confused.

"Just so you know, you will never loose me." He said.

Now I was scared. Why is he so worried that I'd think that? Is he leaving?

I had so may questions.

"Bella," He sighed then closed his eyes,"I met someone."

I stared at him.

"Okay??"

He smiled at my small brain. I obviously couldn't read between the lines.

"Bella I met a girl. A vampire. Her name is Cassie."

I was shocked, bewildered, mad. She's going to take him away from me.

I tried to speak but couldn't. Nothing seemed to come out. I started to sob. My words were even more unclear.

Edward waited for me to be done. On a normal day he would hug me and rub my head but he just looked impatient.

I stopped crying and glared at him.

"How did you meet her?" I asked not really interested.

Edward blushed. I guess he was expecting a tantrum.

"My family was expecting friends from England to come over." He started.

I smiled to myself. England. I love England. My dad was planning a trip there back when he was with my mom but I got the flu so they had to cancel.

He continued the story.

"Anyway so after our fight I was in our garden and she showed up." He looked at my face.

I had a look of disgust but shook it off and faked smiled. He smiled back.

"We've been friends for a while and after a few hours she told about how she had a crush on me ever since the day we met. I realized I did too and now we are us." Edward said.

He wasn't done. I could tell he was holding something back.

"And??" I asked trying not to sound too rude.

"We kissed."

I didn't know what to do with that information. Or garden, our memories, our place!!

I took a deep breath.

"So what you're trying to tell me is that you were in OUR garden. Saw a girl in our and ONLY our garden. And then admitted love for each other and then made out in OUR garden!!" I yelled.

There was the tantrum he wanted.

"Yeah but it was just a kiss." Edward said reassuringly.

"Oh. Well then that changes everything!" I say sarcastically, "Unless you two aren't together."

Edward sighed in defeat.

"I didn't know the garden meant that much to you." He whispered.

"Its not just the garden. Its you. You were my first everything! Kiss, relationship.......Edward I loved you."

He shook his head.

"I loved you too but you have to move on. I'm with Cassie now. We are happy. You should be too." He said.

"Why! Why should I move on when what I want is right in front of my face!? What if the only person who makes me happy is leaving me!?" I yelled.

He didn't answer.

"Do you know how it feels when you love someone and they don't love you back?!"

He shook his head.

"Well its the story of my life!" I said.

"So you still love me?" Edward asked.

I shrugged but then nodded my head.

"I'm sorry Bella. I love you but not that way."

*Internal Explosion*

I got up slowly and ran to my kitchen and threw up in the garbage.

After I cleaned myself up, I walked back into the living room and he was gone.
