[ Justin's POV: ]

I pulled away from her lips, cupping her cheek into my palm and staring at her glowing, blue eyes. She gave me a shy smile as I brushed a strand of hair from her face, kissing her quickly. She’s so beautiful...

“Every time we say we’re going to have a movie night, we never really end up watching the movie,” she giggled, causing me to smirk.

“What can I say? You’re far more interesting than moving images on a screen,” I chuckled, watching as she rested her head on my chest. I held my breath, feeling her heartbeat against me. “I love you,” I whispered, overwhelmed that she was even with me as I placed my chin on top of her head.

She was quiet for a moment, in a trance as she played with the hem of my shirt. “I love you too, Bieber,” she said softly, and I could sense the smile on her face.

“Bieber…” I repeated. “Alexandra Marie Bieber.”

She paused, looking up at me with wide eyes. “What?”

“That’s what your name would be if we ever got married,” I smiled, kissing her on the skin in between her eyebrows. She stared at me for a moment with a cute pout on her face.

“That’s cute..” she smiled, pecking my lips before burying her head into my chest again. I wrapped my arms around her petite frame, holding her close to me as we cuddle on the couch. My eyes traveled back to the movie we were watching, but not really paying any attention to. My gaze was locked on the screen, but I wasn’t processing anything. All I was thinking about was Alex. Just Alex. The girl in my arms. The girl who means everything to me.

After a billion thoughts finished circling my head, I looked at the time and noticed I zoned off for around an hour. Flickering my gaze back to the movie, I realized the credits were rolling by. I practically just put on a movie without knowing anything that happened in it.

I sighed, looking at Alex, who was now sound asleep in my arms. I couldn’t help but let out a small chuckle and, after a kiss on the forehead, I stood up with Alex in my arms and carried her all the way to my room. Pushing the door open with my hips, I entered the silent room and placed Alex down carefully on the bed, throwing a blanket over her body. Just when I was done tucking her in, her eyes sleepily fluttered open and she looked at me.

“Did I fall asleep?” her voice was quiet, and I simply nodded. “Sorry.”

“No, that’s alright. Trust me,” I smiled reassuringly. She smiled back at me before her eyes widened and she shot forwards, sitting up on my bed.

“Crap, what time is it?” she asked, her eyes piercing into mine.

“Almost 10, why?”

“Shit,” she practically jumped out of the bed, heading straight out of my room. A look of confusion spread across my face as I followed after her, finding her rushing to pick up her things in the living room.

“What happened? Where are you going?” I asked.

“I promised Christina I’d sleep over her house tonight,” she said quickly.

“What? That’s it? No, babe, stay with me,” I whined.

“Justin, she’s my best friend. I already blew her off twice, I can’t do it again. She needs this girl time,” she explained and I sighed, slouching slightly in disappointment. She walked over to me, running a hand through my hair and slightly massaging my scalp. “Love you,” she whispered, kissing my lips. “I’ll text you first thing in the morning.”

“Fine…” I pouted. “Have fun.”

She bit her lip nervously. “Thanks.”

And just like that, she was gone.

[ Alex’s POV: ]

I kinda felt bad but… I had to lie to him. I’m already really late and I couldn’t let him get annoying with all his questions.

Getting inside my car, I escaped the slightly chilly breeze outside and quickly began driving down the all-too-familiar road. I arrived faster than I expected (which was good, considering how late I already was), and parked the car near the small cafe in front of me. Sliding out of my car quickly, I rushed inside the building, the smell of coffee filling my nostrils instantly.

“Alex..” Toby looked up from his drink, eyeing me with his innocent, green eyes. “I was beginning to think you wouldn’t show up.”

“I’m so sorry, Toby,” I apologized, kissing his cheek before thanking him for the coffee he had already ordered for me. I sat down in front of him, grabbing the cup into my hands and taking small sips. “I, umm.. I kinda lost track of time and I completely forgot so… Sorry.”

Toby chuckled, leaning forwards so his elbows rested on the table. “That’s okay, you’re here now. But what were you even doing?”

“Shopping with my mom before she left for Vegas. She said it was an emergency,” I lied, chuckling to make it more believable.

“She’s leaving for Vegas?” he asked, raising an eyebrow.

I nodded, relieved that I could tell the truth about at least one thing. “Yeah, she’s meeting my Dad over there.”

“Oh yeah, how’s your Dad? Is he better from the flu?”

“Yup he’s better,” I brushed a strand of hair over my ear.

We continued talking for what felt like an eternity as I lost track of time yet again. We talked, laughed, and shared kisses until it was finally time for the cafe to close down and we had to leave. Toby wrapped an arm around me and we exited the cafe slowly, cherishing the time we had together.

“I just want to let you know that even if you ran a little late tonight, I still had fun,” he whispered, leaning down and pressing his lips against mine, making my heart flutter. I clung onto him, my hands on either side of his cheeks, holding him to me as I kissed back hungrily. He let out a small, satisfied moan before pulling away and licking his lips. “I love you, Alex.”

I sighed into his mouth, caressing his cheek as I gazed into his welcoming eyes. “I-… I love you too,” I said, kissing his lips once more before pulling away.

“You sure you don’t want me to drive you home?” he asked, gripping my waist firmly. I was about to reply to his question when I happened to look behind him, my heart skipping a beat at the sight of Christina standing there, her mouth opened as she tried hard to process what she just saw.

Oh shit… I think she saw us kissing.

“No,” I quickly said, stepping backwards. “I came in my own car anyway. I’ll call you tomorrow, okay?”

“Okay,” he smiled at me, kissing the top of my head before leaving to his own destination, his hands stuffed into the pockets of his jacket.

“Christina,” I whispered, walking over to her. “What are you doing here?”

“I was out on a night stroll,” she rolled her eyes sarcastically. “What do you think I’m doing here? I was coming home from Max’s house.”

“Oh,” I trailed off awkwardly. “Did you see Toby and I kiss?”

“Of course I saw it!” she yelled.

“Shh!” I quickly hushed her, taking her hand and dragging her along with me.

“What are you doing?” she groaned, as I approached my car.

“I’m driving you home,” I opened the car door for her before making my way over to the driver’s side.

“Alex, we’re going to talk about this,” she said irritably, making me shift in my seat uncomfortably. I didn’t say anything as I started the car and pulled into the road. The entire ride was silent, sending chills down my spine as I caught Christina crossing her arms, a frown evident on her face. As soon as we arrived at Christina’s house, she instantly got out of my car.

“Come with me,” she said, before slamming the door shut. I bit the inside of my cheek, slowly getting out of the car and following after her as she opened the door to her home. Once we were inside, Christina dropped the keys and shot me a glare. “All I’m going to say is… What the fuck?”

I gulped, playing with my fingers. “W-What?”

“Are you cheating on Justin?” she said, her eyes burning holes through my skin. “Answer honestly, Alex, or I swear this won’t be pretty.”

“Yes,” I choked out. “I’ve been seeing Toby for a while now.”

“Why?” she quickly added, the pain she felt was loud and clear through her tone. I knew she loved Justin like a friend, and she cared a lot about him. She told me he’d been through a lot and was at the verge of giving up with girls because his heart’s been broken more times than he can count with one hand. He loves too hard, Christina had told me, when she was first telling me about him. He falls in love too easily.

I can tell it hurts her that I’m cheating on him. After all, she was the one to introduce us.

“I’m sorry… Toby just came back and apologized and he was very sweet about it and… I haven’t gotten over my feelings for him so… I had to take him back. But, on the other hand, I have feelings for Justin too and I couldn’t let any of them go so I guess I thought I could… Have them both.”

“Do you know how stupid that sounds?” she hissed, stepping closer towards me. “Justin loves you, Alex. He loves you.”

“So does Toby!” I countered.

“Well if Toby really loves you, he wouldn’t have cheated and lost you in the first place. Justin’s done nothing but shower you with love every step of the way.”

“It’s not like this is the first time Justin’s fallen for a girl,” I mumbled. “If he falls in love so easily, there’s nothing really special about me.”

“No, Alex. He told me himself you were different. Sure, he’s fallen in love. But you’re the first person he had the guts to say the I love you to because he knows you’re worth it, and that you’re the one for him!”

“Toby’s got his romantic side too, though! I know you don’t really approve of him because he’s broken my heart and everyone knows him as a bad boy but—”

“—Alex, he’s beaten someone up before so badly that the guy he beat up struggled to survive at the hospital. What more convincing do you need? He’s bad news!”

“No he’s not! He’s really sweet if you get to know him and he wouldn’t dare hurt me,” I defended, and Christina threw her hands up in frustration.

“Do any of the boys know?” she whispered.

“About…?”

“Them not being the only one you’re kissing every night,” she said in a disgusted tone.

“N-No,” I felt my body shaking. “They’re both clueless.”

“Alex!” she cried out.

“What?! It’s not like I can tell them! They both hate the guts out of each other. They feel like they have to compete to have me and… I don’t know, I just thought it’s best if none of them knew.”

“You’re sick, did you know that?” Christina spat. “You’re a sick girl.”

And with that, she stormed off to her room and I didn’t bother to follow after her. It isn’t the first time she’s been this mad at me before and, after all, we’re best friends. We’ll pull through...

----

I sat in the steps that led up towards the entrance of the movie theatre. I was a little early for my date with Justin, but I needed time to clear my head. I was thinking I should just pick between Justin and Toby, even though it’d be the hardest decision I’ve ever had to do in my life. I had another date with Toby tonight, which just so happens to be the same date Justin and I had 2 days ago—watching a movie together. I’m going to have to see how both dates go in order to choose one of the two.

This should be interesting.

“Alex!” I heard my name being called in a distance. Looking up, I saw Toby smiling at me as he jogged over to where I sat. “You okay?”

I stood up, looking at him as my heart rate picked up. “Toby, what are you doing here? I thought you were visiting your grandma today.”

“Well bad boys don’t always do what they say they’re going to do. I can ditch my Ma and hang out with you, if you’d like,” he winked, pulling me close. I backed away, pushing him off of me.

“No, Toby. Christina should be here any minute by now. We’re watching a movie together and I promised her it’d be just us,” I lied. Lying has pretty much become second nature to me by now. “Go visit your Grandma, okay?”

He rolled his eyes teasingly. “Fine,” he scoffed, “See you tonight then.”

“Bye,” I said quickly and he kissed my cheek before leaving down the sidewalk. I let out a sigh in relief as I sat back down and continued to wait for Justin.

That was close.

[ Justin’s POV: ]

I parked a couple blocks away from the movie theatre before getting out of my car and walking the short distance left. As I was walking, I could see Alex sitting on the steps of the theatre, waiting for my arrival and I just couldn’t help but smile. She looked gorgeous, even from here.

I watched as she looked up in front of her and my heart skipped a beat when I saw Toby jogging over to her. Anger began to pulse in my veins and I gritted my teeth, displeased at the sight of that prick. I saw Alex stand up at the sight of him and they began talking for a while before Alex pushed him away.

That’s my girl, I thought to myself. I was now a lot closer and got a good view of them as Toby leaned forwards and kissed Alex’s cheek, sending me over the edge.

Who the fuck does he think he is? He can’t kiss my girl like that and think he can get away with it.

I was about to charge at him before I saw him leaving quickly, his running body disappearing down the sidewalk as Alex sat back down on the steps, looking worried.

“Alex,” I called out softly, approaching her. Her eyes lit up once she saw me and she wrapped her arms around me, hugging me instantly. “You okay, baby?”

She kissed my lips quickly before pulling away slightly to look at me. “Of course, why are you asking such a question?”

“I don’t know, maybe the fact that your ex just approached you and kissed you on the cheek?” I said, pulling my bottom lip into my mouth.

“Justin–”

“I know he wants you back, Alex. But I’m not letting it happen. You’re mine, alright? I won’t share you with a jerk like him.”

“Okay,” she whispered. “Can we just watch the movie now?”

“Yes,” I sighed, kissing her temple before wrapping my arm around her waist and pulling her to my body, turning my head to see if there was any sign of Toby, which there wasn’t.

----

I just dropped Alex off after seeing the movie and going to a restaurant, the night settling in as I watched Alex walk up to her front porch before disappearing inside her house. I gritted my teeth together, looking at the road ahead of me though my car was still, not moving an inch.

I suddenly gripped both hands on the wheel and drove off to a location I wasn’t proud of having stored into my memory. I never thought I’d be needing to remember this address but, for now, I’m going to be grateful for it and use it to my advantage.

Parking at my destination, I slowly got out of my car, staring at the house in front of me. I knew at least someone must’ve been home because the lights downstairs were on. Taking in a deep breath, I closed the car door and my feet began taking me forwards until I stopped by the door. Hesitantly reaching my hand up, I rang the doorbell, awaiting a reply.

Loud music could be heard from inside and, the minute I rang the doorbell, it lowered until I couldn’t hear it anymore, the sound of footsteps approaching replacing it instead. The door then opened, revealing a face I wasn’t necessarily happy to look at.

“Bieber?” his voice was hoarse as he tilted his head, wondering why the hell I was here. “Justin Bieber?”

“I need to have a word with you, Corsini,” I paused, letting out a small smirk. “Toby Corsini.”

“Why should I talk to you?” he eyed me up and down. “You’re nothing but filth.”

“Oh really? Well newsflash, Toby, you’re already talking to me,” I growled, clenching and unclenching my fists. “Now are you gonna let me in or what?”

He glared at me, shooting daggers with his gaze before letting out a huff in frustration and stepping aside to let me in.

“Make it quick,” he said. “I’ve got things to do.”

“Things to do? You mean like how you were all up in Alex’s face earlier today?”

“What about it, Bieber? Are you jealous?” he laughed, though his eyes were full of hate towards me.

Jealous?” I chuckled humorlessly. “You must be joking.”

Toby stared at me, his lips shut in a thin line as his eyebrow slowly raised. “Why are you here?” he simply asked.

“Why am I here? I’m here to give you a little warning, you little piece of shit,” I hissed. “Stay the fuck away from Alex. What you did today wasn’t acceptable. Back off my girl.”

“Back of your girl?” he grinned. “Bieber, she’s mine. She always has been. If you think you can get her to love you, you better think twice because she loves me.”

“You’re wrong,” I quickly countered. “She only loves me. You cheated on her and she left you. Whatever the two of you had ended a long time ago.”

“Ah.. Au contraire, Bieber,” he spat my name in disgust. I rolled my eyes at his French and he continued, “What you don’t know is that she’s been mine for a while now. I came back. I apologized. She forgave me and we’ve been back in love ever since. So don’t you dare say shit about me when you don’t even know your own facts. She’s my girlfriend, Justin. And I don’t know what kind of fantasy world you’re in, believing she’s yours.”

I felt my heart stop. “You’re lying,” I whispered. He must be bluffing. Alex is my girl and lying about it is obviously something Toby would do.

“Lying? Me?” he smirked. “No, I don’t do that. My reputation is a bad boy that can beat the shit out of anyone who comes in my way. Lying isn’t on my résumé.”

I bit my lip, the anger building up inside of me. “Stop talking shit, Corsini. You and I both know I won’t stand here and let you talk about Alex like she’s all yours.”

“Goddamnit, don’t you fucking get it?!” he yelled, causing me to flinch. “She already is mine. She’s been mine for years now. In fact, I’ve got a date with her tonight and she should be coming in soon.”

Now I know you’re lying, you dumbfuck. She wouldn’t come see you even if you were the last person alive,” I snarled.

“Okay then,” he grinned humorlessly. “Wait until you see her actually step foot in here, if you want. I’d even let you watch me fuck her all night.”

His words sent shivers down my spine and I lost it. Lunging forward, I grasped his neck with both my hands, throwing myself on him so we both fell to the ground. I tightened my grip on him as he choked out, begging for air. He then managed to violently shove me off of him and I landed on the floor next to him, only to have him straddle me so I couldn’t move under his power.

He raised his fists up and began punching me repeatedly in my stomach and jaw. I began bleeding instantly, coughing up blood as I fought to push him off of me. I watched as he reached into his back pocket and pulled out a pocket knife, sliding the blade into view. I widened my eyes, quickly punching him across the face, breaking his nose as he lost grasp of the knife.

The sound of the knife clattering against the floor itched into my ears and I dived forwards. Picking it up into my hands, I jumped on top of Toby, holding him down and threatening him with his own weapon.

“I’ll give you one last chance,” I coughed, holding the knife to his neck. “Don’t make me do this.”

“Don’t worry,” his voice was rough as he smirked at me, ignoring the blood that shot from his nose. “I won’t make you.”

Elbowing me in the stomach, I grunted in pain, releasing the knife from my hands as I fell to the floor once again. Taking it back into his possession, Toby growled evilly at me.

“You think you have the upper hand, Bieber,” he whispered eerily. “But, guess what?” He leaned closer to my ear. “You don’t.”

Raising the pocket knife up, Toby slung it forwards and my eyes widened, an excruciating pain shooting through my chest.

“Fuck,” I cursed under my breath, looking down at myself and realizing Toby had stabbed me on the chest.

“Alex loves me,” Toby yelled, stabbing me once again in the same spot as I screamed in intense pain, gasping as the blood surrounded me.

[ Alex’s POV: ]

I arrived at Toby’s house in my favorite, black dress and was about to ring the doorbell when I heard yelling and screaming coming from inside. My heart skipped a beat and I swore one of the screams was coming from a boy I recognized. One that wasn’t Toby.

I decided it was best if I snuck into the back door, which I had done occasionally when Toby and I were dating even before he cheated on me. I was careful and quiet as I stepped in, feeling my heart drop at the screams coming from inside. Peeking my head through a small doorframe into the living room, I felt my blood freeze at the sight of Justin on the floor, surrounded by his own blood as Toby stabbed him continuously in different places, each time earning a scream from Justin.

“Stop it,” Justin coughed weakly, blood spluttering from his mouth as he internally fought for his life. My heart stopped and I felt tears surface in my eyes.

“TOBY!” I screamed, causing the entire house to fall silent. “STOP!” I rushed forwards, dropping to my knees beside Justin, ignoring the blood stains being formed all over my clothing. “How could you?” I cried out, looking at Toby with disappointment evident in my eyes. Toby froze, dropping the knife at his side before I turned my attention to Justin. “I’m so sorry,” I whimpered, my hands reaching to caress his cheek. “This is all my fault.”

“No,” he groaned. “It’s not…” The strength in his voice was faltering, scaring the shit out of me.

“No, no, don’t die. Please don’t die,” I begged. I snapped my head over to Toby again, glaring at him with tears violently streaming down my face. “If you ever even loved me, prove it and call an ambulance. Do it now.”

Toby gulped, his face blank of emotion as he was probably deciding whether he regretted what he did or not. But nevertheless, he pulled his phone out and dialed the three numbers that were famously known for its emergency services. Looking back over at Justin, I watched as his eyes slowly began to close.

“No!” I desperately called out, lightly slapping his cheek to maintain him awake. “Stay with me, Justin. Please.”

“It’s okay, Alex,” he said softly, forcing a smile. “If I died right here, right now, in your arms. That’d be just fine.”

“Don’t talk like that!” I screamed, tears blurring my vision.

“I love you,” he whispered, his eyes falling closed as I resumed slapping him lightly, this time on both cheeks.

“I love you too but you need to s-stay with me,” I whimpered, feeling my muscles grow weak. “I b-beg of you.”
