Stealing a quick glimpse at the clock I realize had five more minutes left in my Algebra II class. I sighed and turned my attention back to my dad who taught the class. He was a great teacher and all the students liked him, but with it being the last class of the day and it is Friday, no was giving him any attention.

The minutes ticked by slowly. Tonight was something special for me. I looked across the room at Sawyer who obviously was on his phone. He was doing a terrible job of hiding it, but I guess my dad was done with everyone too. Sawyer looked up from his phone and glanced at me. He smiled when we made eye contact. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have such a great job and I wouldn't be going to a my first villain party tonight. He looked back down at his phone and started texting again. When he paused, I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I drew it out and peeked at the text.

Stay behind and we can walk out together.

I looked back at him and nodded to show I had read it. The bell rang and, without missing a beat, all the students stood up and mobbed for the door. I paused a minute before following the rest. Sawyer stood behind me as I moved my way out of the classroom.

"You need a ride tonight?" Sawyer asked.

"Well, I mean, if you can, it would be nice," I responded timidly. He was school-wide known for his handsome form and appearance. I still couldn't believe I had made friends with him. I guess being a villain had its perks. Tonight's Villain party would be my first and I would be going with the hottest boy in the sophomore class.

"Of course Kelsy, you're going as my friend. I'll be at your house around nine. Sound good?"

I shook my head yes, and we both split to go to our lockers. I threw my Algebra stuff in my locker and pulled out the other binders and books I would need. School was definitely different for me this year. My choice to become a villain helped, but then again, only other villains knew and they didn't know my true identity. Only Sawyer did. He was what made this year more enjoyable. No, we are not dating. He has a girl in mind. He told me the first day we met. I had been surprised at the remark because I wasn't one to have a boyfriend. In fact, I never have had one. I had other things I to busy myself with and things I liked more.

I walked back to my dad's classroom. "What time do you plan on leaving?" I asked. "I need to be home soon because of the one thing." Both my parents new about what I did. They supported me in it too.

He sighed. "I'm not sure Kel. I have lot's of papers I don't want to take home and I have to clean up. Probably close to six. Sorry sweetie."

"I'll do the clean up so you have less to do." I offered. I really wanted to get home sooner so I had more time to eat and get ready.

"That would be awesome! Thanks Kel."

I reached into my bag and grab earbuds. Music helps me block things out so I can think. I clutched the vacuum handle and turned it on. As I slowly moved around the room, I picked up careless kids' gum wrappers and other food packaging. Another reason I didn't eat much in class.

When I finished the vacuuming, my dad had me wipe down the desks and handles. They were so nasty. Thinking about how many disgusting teens sat at these desks each day made me cringe. so many germs going around like wildfire.

The clock read 4:47. I had been cleaning for almost an hour and it felt like nothing. I was about to sit and work on my homework when my dad declared he was finished early. I celebrated down inside. "Give me fifteen minutes or so to pack up and I'll meet you out my the truck. "

Grabbing my stuff I hurried out of the school. Teachers muttered goodbyes as they rushed to and fro hoping to leave the place soon. I laughed when students said they wanted to leave more then the teachers did. I always told them the same thing, "You should see the teachers rushing out of the building as soon as all the students have left. It's the best thing ever." Some still don't believe me, but I personal experiences of getting pushed on accident by Mr. Perry, the biology teacher, as he rushed out the door carrying too many papers.

Before leaving the building, I gracefully swung my coat on. Well, more or less on the graceful part. Outside the trees were finishing the process of changing color. Oranges and reds colored the normal sea of green. The leaves blew across the parking lot swirling around the few cars left. My dad's pick up truck was parked near the other teachers' vehicles and I stood patiently until my dad would show his face. I longed to be able to drive myself but, unlucky for me, my birthday wasn't until May. I wouldn't be turning sixteen any time soon.

My dad walked out of the building and hurried to the car. "I'm ready for the weekend." he exclaimed. "I'm so sick of students."

"Me too dad. Me too." We pulled out of the school parking lot and started the ten minute drive home.

"How did your chem test go?"

I shrugged not really sure how to answer. "I think I did alright, but who knows."

"And do you have a ride to the party tonight?"

I wasn't sure how he was going to respond. Sawyer was know well around our sophomore class. He wasn't the most respectful person ever. "I'm going with Sawyer. He said he could pick me up around nine and I could ride with him."

I waited to see how my dad might respond. "He's a good-looking guy, just don't get carried away. He.." my dad hesitated, "there are other guys I might recommend." I rolled my eyes but said nothing. I figured he would bring up Aidan. He might be a good kid who behaved well, but he was definitely not my type. My dad loved him because of how respectful he was to everyone and always used him as the "good example kid".

Once the car was parked in the driveway, I hurried inside. I was greeted by the wonder smell of my mom's sweet and sour chicken and the yapping of a small Jack Russell Terrier. "Hey Ava." I said kneeling down. "How's the sweet girl doing?" She rolled over on her back and I obliged.

My mom came from the kitchen and greeted us at the door. Giving a quick kiss to my dad, my mom turned to me. "How was school today, Kelsy?"

"It went well. I had a chem test that I wasn't too confident in." My mom told me I probably did fine, but I wasn't so sure.

I followed her into the kitchen to see if she needed any help, but to my surprise, she had finished it all and the meal was sitting on the table ready to be served. "I made sure to have it done so you would have plenty of time too prepare for tonight." My mom told me.

I felt truly honored. I didn't realize how much my mom and dad actually care about the party. I'm sure they were glad I was finally talking to people but...

"Let's eat!"

A/N: Wow. If you made it all the way here thank you so much. It really does mean so much to me. I have to admit I was very nervous to publish this because I wanted it perfect. The only way to get better though, is put your work out there and listen to your readers. So, that is exactly what I'm gonna do. I plan on asking a few questions to my readers at the end of each chapter so I can get to know you!

1. Honest opinion of the story so far.

2. I may have given a cast to the story, but who could you see playing some of the characters that have been introduced?

Random question- What's your favorite genre to read?

Until next time, don't forget to vote, comment, and follow! I seriously love you guys!
