During the night no one could sleep.

The humans were singing loudly and dancing around the bonfire.

The music was good and I wanted to dance too but we were tired and needed rest.

Suddenly, I heard someone coughing continuously. It was mommy. She was suffocating because of the smoke.

Daddy tried to hold her up.

"Absorb some water." Daddy said.

"You will be fine sweetheart." He tried to give her some hope.

However, mommy kept on struggling.

Few minutes later, she finally stopped coughing.

"Mommy?" I called.

Daddy was silent.

He bowed his head and tears his fell down on mommy's leaves.

Little baby flower bud fell down on the soil.

I lost my mommy and my not yet blossomed sibling.

Daddy wasn't talking to me. He turned away. His yellow petals were no longer bright. He wasn't moving. I went closer.....and closer........and tapped him from the back.........and he fell to the ground.

"Daddy!" I exclaimed.

But there was no response.

I just came here some days before and I was blossomed with love. Now I'm alone....... Completely alone.

Warm tears  rolled down my cheeks as I stared at my family who had left me alone.

My world had changed drastically.

Suddenly I heard footsteps.

The humans were coming towards me.

"Look at that sunflower. It's so pretty." One of them said.

The human picked me. I felt pain as he broke my stem.

I was suffering, but suddenly, I felt nothing.

My life was over.......
