Chapter 5: Prepping for a Goblin Dungeon Raid!

(A/N: Sorry for making you all wait. Been playing some Gacha games and School...But anyways, enjoy this chapter!)

-No One's P.O.V-

After leaving Fran and Teacher to handle all of the goblins in the forest, you left with Crull, Eustace, and Lily back to the City of Alessa.

The three adventurers parted ways with you because they went to get their reward and they tell you that they're going to get help if Fran doesn't come back alive until sunset.

You, on the other hand, were heading back to your Inn and waiting for Fran and Teacher to come back alive as well.

While heading towards the Inn, you hear a familiar voice calling out to you.

???: Hey there.

You turned to your left and see Aria who was sitting on a sofa outside on the front porch of her shop and is waving her hand at you.

(A/N: Ignore the game controller. Just Aria sitting down.)

(Y/N): Oh, Aria. Good afternoon.

Aria: Likewise. Say, what have you been up to?

Aria asked while you approached her and answered the question.

(Y/N): Fran and I went off on a quest to collect herbs.

Aria: Collecting herbs as a quest, huh? Sounds like a newbie thing to do, yeah?

(Y/N): Yeah, but it's just the start of being an adventurer.

Aria: Fair point. Also, who's Fran?

(Y/N): Oh, she's a 12-year-old cat girl with black hair and is carrying a big sword with her.

Aria: A 12-year-old from the Black Cat Race...Is she a good swordswoman?

(Y/N): I'd say a little strong. Her main objective is to become stronger and Evolve as a Black Cat.

Aria: I see. Say, what happened to her parents?

(Y/N): They, unfortunately, died when they were on their journey with Fran to evolve, leaving only Fran to survive on her own.

Aria: Wait, really?

Aria asked with a surprised face.

(Y/N): Yeah, that's what happened. My plan was to take care of her until she evolves (Actually, Teacher is around so it's just me and him taking care of Fran).

Aria: I see. Better treat her properly with care in the future then.

(Y/N): *Nods* Yeah.

Aria: By the way...

(Y/N): Hm?

Aria: I haven't gotten to know your name. Do you mind telling me?

(Y/N): (Is she trying to set off red flags or something? No, wait, if Aria has the Identity skill, she would've known my name already.) It's (Y/N).

Aria: (Y/N)? Hmm...are you from Japan by any chance?

Aria's question made my eyes widen in reaction, but she saw my expression and smiled before speaking up.

Aria: I see. I guess I'm not the only one who got reincarnated.

(Y/N): You too?

Aria: Yeah. Before I was reincarnated, I used to work at a university as a researcher to do a thesis based on a topic we can find. Oh, and I'm a first-graduated university senior to my co-workers since I'm twenty-three years old.

(Y/N): Huh, that's nice. And how did you die?

Aria: I went off to buy some snacks in a grocery store until a robbery happened. There were three robbers so I had to sneak around to take them down one by one, despite my small size. I was about to grab one of their handguns, but I was shot in the neck. Death was waiting for me, but with the power of sheer will...I grabbed the gun, pulled the trigger, and shot the final robber in the head before my vision went dark.

You nodded with an impressed smile.

(Y/N): Goddamn, I respect the heroism!

Aria: Eh, just did what I had to do to protect the civilians.

As you were about to speak up more, you suddenly felt your stomach rumbling.

(Y/N): Aw crud, I'm hungry. Looks like I gotta find myself some food. See ya, Aria.

You were about to leave until Aria spoke up.

Aria: Wait just a moment.

(Y/N): Huh?

Aria got off the sofa and went inside her shop. You were confused but decided to wait for her.

About a few seconds later, Aria comes out and holds out a paper bag in her left hand.

Aria: Here. For you, or if you want to share it with Fran.

Aria says as you took the paper bag from her hand.

(Y/N): Uh...thanks. What's inside of it?

Aria: It's a surprise, so you should open it yourself.

Aria says with a smile on her face as you looked at her with suspicion. You then slowly opened the paper and your eyes widened upon seeing something inside.

(Y/N): ?!

Aria:

Inside that bag was...

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

(Y/N): Huh...two sandwiches?

Aria: Of course, and it's made by me. It's quite delicious if you could give it a try.

(Y/N): Hm, thanks.

Aria: You're welcome, kid. Anyway, I've got business to attend to. See ya.

(Y/N): Yeah, see ya.

And just like that, both you and Aria parted ways as you went back to the Inn to wait for Fran and Teacher to arrive back alive.

-Time Skip and No One's P.O.V-

It was now night time and then we hear...

Garrus: Whoa, now, what the hell happened?! You're looking worse for wear!

Garrus asked and the person who he is spoken to is none other than Fran and Teacher themselves who survived after slaying so many goblins in the forest.

Garrus: The hell were you two fighting to get like this?

Fran: Goblins.

Garrus: How many were you up against to get like this?

Fran then starts counting her fingers and then said...

Fran: ...A lot.

Teacher: Cut down over a hundred.

Garrus: Over a hundred?! Where was your friend?!

Fran: I told him to go back with the three other adventurers that we saved. The reason why is that I want to get stronger without his help.

Garrus lets out a sigh until Teacher spoke up.

Teacher: Sorry to hit you up again so quickly, Garrus, but could you fix up her armor?

Garrus: Yeah, I can do that for ya.

Teacher: Two days from now, Fran's gonna take on her first dungeon to take out the goblins...with (Y/N)'s help, too.

Garrus: What?!

-A few hours ago-

After Fran was killing over a hundred goblins, she and Teacher start to look around to where Goblins come from around the forest area until they see a big cave in front of them with a goblin guarding in front of the exit.

Teacher: There's the goblin hideout.

Fran: Should I go in?

Fran asked as she was about to draw Teacher out.

Teacher: No, not yet. The sun's setting and you're exhausted. And there's going to be way more of them in there, too. Plus, we're going to need (Y/N)'s help if we're going in there by tomorrow.

Fran: Okay.

Teacher: Let's go collect the crystals from the goblins of where we were and head into town.

...

Next, we see Teacher plunging down his body blade onto one of the dead goblins to search for the crystal until he found one.

Teacher: Absorb Crystal!

Teacher casts his skill as he absorbs the dead goblin's crystal, but Fran feels a presence beside her. She turned to see Eustace, Lily, Crull, and they brought a bunch of adventurers with them.

Crull: Fran! It's me!

Crull says and Fran looks at him for a moment before realizing who he is.

Dwarf Warrior: Damn, look at all these dead goblins...You killed these all by yourself?

Fran: Uh-huh.

Dwarf Warrior: Hold on, if that's true, you're at least a D-Rank adventurer.

Fran: *Points at the Hideout* I found a goblin hideout over there.

Everyone's eyes widened upon hearing that information.

Dwarf Warrior: It can't be...This cave wasn't here a month ago. So this isn't just a hideout. It's probably a full-blown dungeon.

Fran: What's the difference?

Dwarf Warrior: Dungeons will pop up out of nowhere.

Crull: Fran, the guildmaster will probably want to hear your account. Would you go back to town to see him?

Fran: I could. But...

Dwarf Warrior: Don't worry. We'll keep an eye on this area while you're gone.

Fran: Okay.

-Mini Time Skip-

Donadrond: Didja really kill a whole horde of goblins and hobgoblins?! *Starts approaching Fran* How many goblins did you kill?! How many hobgoblins?!

Donadrond asked with his voice raised which caused Fran to retort back.

Fran: A lot.

Donadrond: How many is a lot?!

Klimt: Calm yourself, Donadrond. Fran, would you mind describing the details of your encounter in more tangible terms?

Klimt asked as Fran had a troubled expression because she doesn't count how many goblins and hobgoblins she killed until Teacher gave her the answer which is...

Teacher: It was around 130.

Fran: Around 130?

Teacher: And about 20 higher-tier ones.

Fran: And about 20 higher-tier ones.

Donadrond: What?! That's a tell-tale sign that a goblin stampede's about to occur!

Klimt: Did any of the goblins attempt to retreat during the battle?

Fran: No, they fought me till the end.

Klimt: We've found ourselves in dire circumstances, then.

Fran: Huh?

Klimt: Not retreating means they could not retreat back to their hideout anymore. The one you discovered is likely full of stronger, higher-tier monsters.

Donadrond: This ain't good...

Fran: The dwarf guy said it wasn't a hideout anymore, it was a dungeon.

Klimt: Really?

Klimt asked in a surprised tone before continuing to speak up.

Klimt: Then we need to gather a proper hunting party to deal with them. Issue an urgent call for any adventurers Rank F or above.

Donadrond: Yes, sir!

Klimt: Now, Miss Fran, we would like you to accompany us. While we wish this could come under better circumstances, we would like to promote you and your friend to Rank F.

Both Fran and Teacher were shocked at the sudden offer.

Fran: But we haven't done enough quests yet.

Klimt: The only strong adventurer in Alessa at present is Donadrond, who is Rank C. We haven't time to wait for you to fulfill the prerequisites. Besides, after defeating a goblin horde of that size on your lonesome, we can hardly allow you and (Y/N) to remain as a mere G-Rank adventurers.

Donadrond: No, wait...!

Klimt: Hm? What is it?

Donadrond: Don't forget. Little Fran here has an extremely powerful friend, (Y/N), was it? I was overwhelmed by his strength during our mocking battle two days ago. He could even beat a strong S-Rank monster without effort!

Klimt: Oh yeah, now that you think about it. Fran, we need your friend to take down the-

Fran: No.

Both Donadrond and Klimt were surprised by Fran's immediate response because she knew what the two men were about to do if (Y/N) was involved.

Fran: Onii-chan can come along, but he can't just destroy the whole goblin dungeon.

Donadrond: W-What are you saying?!

Klimt: Fran, you are aware that our safety in this city could be in danger if we can't use your friend to destroy the goblin dungeon.

Fran: I'm sorry, did you put the word "use" in your sentence?

Fran asked with a frown expression which made Klimt realize the mistake in his words.

Teacher: Whoa, Fran, cool your jets for a moment.

Fran: (Sorry Teacher, I just need to correct him for a bit.)

Fran said telepathically to Teacher before turning back to Klimt and saying...

Fran: It's true that Onii-chan is very powerful. However, he just wants to find someone who has the same strength as his, and he told me that a few days ago before we arrived. He's not a living weapon, he's just a person who wants to live a normal life despite his godly strength. Besides, he knows that I can't always rely on him to protect me. He wants me to become stronger so I can take care of myself. That is all.

Both Klimt and Donadrond were speechless at what they had just heard until Klimt lets out a sigh before speaking up.

Klimt: My sincere apologies. I was being selfish... I should've had some second thoughts before jumping into things.

Fran: *Nods* It's okay.

Donadrond: Anyways, how do we do this before heading to the dungeon tomorrow with (Y/N)'s help?

Fran: As I said before, Onii-chan will join, but not destroy the whole goblin dungeon. If he did destroy the dungeon with his strength, then what's the point of the dungeon? Our levels and ranking raising would be for nothing if Onii-chan takes it all instantly.

Klimt: Hm....now that you think about it, your statement does make a good point. Having someone overpowered to take everything will make everyone not have their fun and rewards as an adventurer.

Fran: Exactly. Let everyone have their fun, and not just let someone take their credit for themselves.

Klimt: *Nods* Mm.

Donadrond: But can you imagine your friend would go up into being an S-Rank with that strength of his?

Fran: I can imagine. However, promoting my Onii-chan from being a G-Rank into S-Rank would be an instant cheat and everyone would notice that. Onii-chan doesn't want that, he only rises up the ranks on his own by being fair and square.

Donadrond: Hmm...

-Current Time-

Garrus: So that's the story. Rankin' up pretty fast, huh?

Garrus says as he finishes setting up all of the blue crystals around in a square position with Fran's armor in the center until a glowing light starts to occur.

Garrus raises his hands and said...

Garrus: Repair!

Green light sparks around Fran's armor and it was now fully repaired for a quick moment.

Teacher: Oh? Is that a restoration spell?

Garrus: Yep! You're good now.

Fran: It's fixed already!

Garrus: I can use these mana crystals as catalysts while casting to return it nearly to its original state. It's an Arcane Blacksmith skill.

Teacher: Wow. That's pretty nifty. How much'll it cost us?

Teacher asked as he carefully takes the mana crystal from Garrus's hand and examines it.

Garrus: About 10,000 gold. Same price as the crystals.

Teacher: That's cheaper than I thought.

Garrus: Know the more times you fix it, the harder it gets to restore, so you'll need more catalyst. Next one will cost you around 30,000.

Teacher: Makes sense. Gets less efficient to repair.

Fran: Garrus, what's a dungeon like?

Garrus: Right, this'll be your first time. Dungeons are created by the God of Chaos as trials for mankind, which is, they just pop out of the blue. More specifically, a Dungeon Core spawns, and the monster closes to it becomes the Dungeon Master and a servant of Chaos. The INT and WIS of the Dungeon Master determines the dungeon's design. Old dungeons have unique ecosystems that play host to rare monsters, and you can often find precious metals and enchanted items in older dungeons, too. You could say that's Chaos way of rewarding us for completing the trial.

Garrus finishes explaining and gives Fran her fully repaired armor.

Fran: So is this Chaos god a good god?

Garrus: You could see it that way.

-Mini Time Skip-

A few minutes later, Fran finished wearing her armor...with Teacher's help because her belt wouldn't go in.

Before leaving, Garrus tells Teacher about the sword scabbard that was ready for him the day he sets out for the dungeon with you and Fran.

Once Fran and Teacher were about to open the entrance of the Inn building, they smell a delicious armor that reaches their nostrils.

Fran: Whoa...Teacher...did you smell that?

Teacher: Yeah, I can smell it, too! Oh yeah, (Y/N) did say that he's going to make you dinner when we come back alive, right?

Fran: Yeah!

Fran quickly enters the Inn building and jogs towards the kitchen room.

Upon reaching the kitchen room, Fran sees you wearing an (F/C) apron with the same hero suit you were wearing and carrying a green cooking pot in your hands until you see Fran and Teacher.

(Y/N): Ah, Fran, Teacher! You two are back!

Teacher: Yup, we're alive and well, bud.

Fran: Onii-chan, is dinner ready?!

(Y/N): Yeah, right on time to start eating!

You said with a big smile on your face as you placed the green cooking pot on the trivet at the table.

Fran and Teacher went over to you as you opened the lid and see the steaming hot food.

Fran: Oh? What's this?

(Y/N): It's a stew! It's called a Ragout Rabbit Stew!

You said with a proud expression and both hands on your hips.

Teacher: Whoa, the textures of the stew look really amazing.

Fran: But there are vegetables on it...

Fran says with a gloomy look on her face, but you gently pat her on the back and said...

(Y/N): Come on, Fran. Don't be a picky eater. When you start off as an adventurer, you must accept any types of cuisine that you never get to experience to eat with, understand?

Fran: Okay.

(Y/N): Good. Now then, let's enjoy ourselves except for you Teach.

Teacher: I know, I know. I can't eat since I'm a sword...

Eventually, you sat in your chair on the opposite side of where Fran was sitting until the two of you put your hands together and said...

(Y/N) & Fran: Thank you for the food!

Both you and Fran prayed and started eating together.

Fran then scooped up the soup from the green cooking pot and takes a sip of it. The young black cat girl tasted for a few moments until her eyes widened in surprise.

Teacher: What? Is it really good?

Fran: Yeah...it really tastes amazing!

(Y/N): Hehehe! My cooking skills haven't gotten slightly rusty after starting our journey!

You said with a happy grin on your face.

Teacher: Oh? Are we starting a cooking competition, are we?

(Y/N): Hey, it's not a competition when someone makes better cooking than the other. They just need a bit more practice.

Teacher: Huh, I guess you have a good point.

Fran: Thanks for the food, Onii-chan.

Fran says with a grateful expression on her face which made you smile.

(Y/N): Not a problem. Oh, I got these as well...

You said as you used the Pocket Dimension skill to gram item that you were going to show Fran and Teacher.

You then pulled out a paper bag that Aria had given you beforehand. Both Fran and the Teacher looked at the paper bag in confusion.

Teacher: What's inside?

(Y/N): Well, take a look at this.

You opened the paper bag and see the two pairs of sandwiches which made Teacher and Fran's eyes widen.

Fran: Are these...sandwiches?

(Y/N): Yeah. I did not make these myself though, but Aria did.

Teacher: Aria? Do you mean the tailor girl you mentioned yesterday?

(Y/N): Yeah. She gave me these because I was hungry. There are only two pieces of Sandwiches so I thought I'd give one to Fran and myself.

Fran: I don't mind. I want to taste how good Miss Aria's sandwiches are.

(Y/N): Alright. Take one.

Fran then takes one of the sandwiches from the paper bag and takes a bite out of it until her eyes widened upon the taste.

Fran: Wow, it tastes really great!

Teacher: Whoa, were Aria's sandwiches that amazing?

(Y/N): Hahaha, can't say for sure. Come on, let's finish eating, and then we can discuss a lot of stuff in our room.

Fran & Teacher: Okay!

-Mini Time Skip-

After a couple of minutes of eating the Ragout Rabbit Stew and Aria's handmade sandwich. You, Fran, and Teacher were in your bedrooms to discuss what was going on.

(Y/N): So, you're telling me that you and Teacher have been killing goblins until sunset?

You asked in a surprised voice to Fran.

Fran: *Nods* Yeah. We've killed 130 normal Goblins and 20 Hobgoblins.

(Y/N): Such commitment. What level are you now?

Fran: 12.

(Y/N): You've killed goblins for hours until sunset...I'm quite impressed that you still managed to survive.

Fran: Thanks.

(Y/N): I'm a little jealous that you get to level up while I can't because my levels and stats are just corrupted except for some skills.

Fran: I pity you, Onii-chan.

(Y/N): Thanks, but I'm still a normal guy with overpowered abilities.

Fran: *Nods* Mm.

(Y/N): (Can't believe Fran grinded all the way to level 12. She's still got a long way to go...just like I was back when I was training for three years to become like my foster father...)

You thought to yourself with a smile on your face.

That's when the two of you hear...

Teacher: Dang! Your stats have gone up like crazy! Is that 'cause you took the Sword Mage class?

(Y/N): Let me see.

Teacher: Here.

Teacher then floats over to you and shows Fran's stats to you as you skimmed up and down which made your eyes widen upon seeing them.

(Y/N): Goddamn, that's some good stats.

Fran: I know, right?

Fran says with a proud smile on her face as you smiled back at her before looking back at her stats.

Teacher: You even got yourself three titles!

(Y/N): There's a "Goblin Killer" title that can be achieved just by killing 100 goblins.

Teacher: And it boosts your stats, too? Damn. Hm?

Teacher looks at Fran who is spaced out due to being exhausted after killing the goblins and hobgoblins for hours.

Teacher: Healing magic is pretty mentally exhausting, huh?

Teacher then pulls out his ghostly right hand and starts patting Fran on the head.

Teacher: Good work today, Fran. You can relax now.

That's when Fran had a face of realization...

Fran: I wanna take a bath.

Teacher: Okay, we'll see you after, then.

Fran: I want you to come, too.

Both you and Teacher were shocked upon hearing that.

Teacher: What?!

(Y/N): Bruh.

Fran: Let's take a bath together. You got lots of blood on you and need to be cleaned.

Teacher: *Turns away* N-No, I'm fine! (Y/N) and I have something to talk about *turns to you* Right, (Y/N)?

Realizing upon hearing Teacher's words of rescue until you try to assist him.

(Y/N): That's right, Teacher and I need to talk for a bit.

Fran: About what?

Fran asked with the same poker face.

(Y/N): Well, Teacher and I are going to talk about what we can do about the goblin dungeon. I mean, you did tell me the whole story after you killed the goblins and found their dungeon.

Fran stares at you for a few seconds and said...

Fran: Okay. If you say so.

(Y/N): (Fran's so freaking scary when she makes that poker face...it's like she's staring at my soul.)

You thought to yourself with a sweat drop until you and Teacher watched Fran leaving the room to go take a bath.

Teacher: Whew, thanks for the backup, (Y/N).

(Y/N): Yeah, but imagine if we did lie about something else, Fran would just easily see that.

Teacher: Let's not think about that...

(Y/N): *Nods*: Yeah.

Teacher: Anyway, when tomorrow comes, you shouldn't go destroying the whole dungeon, got it?

(Y/N): I know. Let people have fun fighting in their raid.

Teacher: That's what I would like to hear from an overpowered hero.

(Y/N): By the way...

Teacher: Hm?

(Y/N): You and I aren't the only ones who got reincarnated.

Teacher: Oh? Who might that be?

(Y/N): It's Aria.

Teacher: Her, too? Did you tell her about who I am?

(Y/N): Not really, but I could go if you want to.

Teacher: Th-That'll come later in the future! Hmm...I wonder how many people got reincarnated like us...

(Y/N): But I was transported here just by sleeping on my bed.

Teacher: Haha, strange things have happened, huh? That reminds me of something...

(Y/N): What is it?

Teacher: Before I died, I had a good friend of mine. He was a cripple and is a great horse racer.

(Y/N): What was he like?

Teacher: Well, just like Fran, he needs to grow up and become stronger, too. I taught him a few things and the lessons I gave him.

(Y/N): Must've been wonderful teaching your friend some good things.

Teacher: Yeah.

(A/N: Just to let you all know that Teacher didn't have a backstory like that. It's all just a reference to Steel Ball Run because Teacher's VA is Shinichiro Miki who also voiced Gyro Zeppeli.)

(Y/N): Anyway, you should get cleaned up 'cause you smell like shit.

Teacher: I know. Minding helping out?

(Y/N): Sure. Let's not head to the bathrooms.

Teacher: Why?

(Y/N): Because weapons aren't allowed in the bathrooms.

Teacher: Does this mean I have to go and take a cold shower rather than warm water?

(Y/N): Yup. Besides, both cold and warm water have different benefits. You'll have to get used to it, Teach.

Teacher: Sure, sure.

-Mini Time Skip-

A few minutes passed after Teacher took a shower by himself using his ghostly arms while you were waiting for him to finish.

Next, You and Teacher were wandering around the building until you stumbled upon a large balcony.

However, You and Teacher found Fran who was talking with someone at the table.

(Y/N): Fran?

Fran: Ah, Onii-chan!

Fran says with a surprised face until the person that Fran was talking to turns around and it was none other than Nell herself.

Teacher: What? What's Nell doing here?

(Y/N): (We'll ask her that.)

Nell: Ah, good evening, (Y/N).

(Y/N): Likewise, Miss Nell. Say, what are you doing here?

Nell: Ah, I was taking a good bath after a long day's work in the guild. This inn is affiliated with the guild. Myself and the other assistants have rooms here.

Teacher and (Y/N): (I see...)

Nell: Oh, yes! I heard you two were joining the party to clear out the goblin dungeon.

Fran: Uh-huh. We're gonna fight hard.

Nell: It's your first dungeon, right?

(Y/N): Yeah, is there a problem with it?

You questioned while pulling a chair to join in the conversation.

Nell: No, not really. I know little Fran here is a tough cookie, but she needs to be careful.

(Y/N): Mm. You got it, ma'am.

Nell: Ugh. I'm so angry at that lawful lieutenant...

Nell says while eating a meatball on a stick as she continues to speak up.

Nell: With the Knight's Brigade refusing to help, the adventurers have to shoulder all the burden!

Fran: Knight's Brigade?

Nell: Yes. Their Lieutenant Allsand is a nobleman who hates adventurers, and he's the one who turned down our request for aid. *Snaps the stick in half and slams her hand on the table* He's absolutely useless! I wish he'd piss off and die!

Teacher: *Sweatdrop* (Nell's got some pent-up rage...)

Nell: *Sigh* If only Amanda were here.

Fran: Amanda? We heard that name somewhere.

Teacher: (I think Randell mentioned her.)

(Y/N): Oh yeah, I do remember a guy named Randell mentioned her name back when we were entering Alessa. Who was Amanda though?

Nell: *Sits back down* Her full name and the title is A-Rank Adventurer, Amanda the Great Mother. She's the ace of the Alessa guild. But she and the other high ranks are checking out the disturbance on the Greatwolf Plain.

Teacher: (I didn't think my rampage would cause all this...)

Nell: Ugh, of all the times for a new dungeon to pop up...Chaos is really causing us, well, chaos.

(Y/N): (Chaos? Who's that?)

Teacher: (God of Chaos is basically a monster summoner who sets up dungeons and stuff like that...)

(Y/N): (Thanks for the info, but I need an accurate explanation.)

Fran: What kind of god is Chaos?

Nell: Good question. I can tell what I know from what I've read...The gods came to our realm from another world. The ten strongest came first. Of them, the gods of the Sun, Moon, Oceans, Earth, Fire, Storms, Forest, and Beasts, created the world and the life within it. The god of the Dead created the Great Wheel of Reincarnation, upon which the world began to turn. Later on, their 78 children would make their own marks on the world. The last of the Ten Great Gods is the Goddess of Chaos. To keep the world in balance, and give humanity the strength to persist, the Goddess introduced chaos to the world. Her trials, or dungeons, as we know them, are both one of her many machinations.

Teacher: (So the god of Chaos is a goddess...)

Fran: So is the Goddess of Chaos good?

Nell: That's difficult to say.

Fran: Oh, wait, why isn't there a God of War?

(Y/N): (Is Fran bringing out Ares or Kratos?)

Nell: There is...or should I say, there was. The God of War was so addicted to the power that he fell to Evil.

Teacher: (Evil?)

(Y/N): Addicted to power?

Nell: After the God of War fell, he gained incredible power and tried to use it to subjugate the other gods. But he was defeated, split apart, and his pieces sealed and scattered across the world. The parts of him have not sealed away and created Fiends, like goblins and orcs.

Teacher: (This is good stuff to know. So the Fiend race I saw with Identify are all descendants of that evil god.)

Nell: Huh?

You, Nell, and Teacher looked at Fran and noticed that she looks more tired than ever.

Nell: Fran, are you okay?!

(Y/N): Aw crud, she got tired from fighting all the goblins and hobgoblins.

Nell: I...I see. It's best if you take her back to your rooms and give her a good healthy sleep.

Nell says with a gentle smile on her face as you nodded back in response.

(Y/N): Fran, would you like me to carry you on the way back to our room?

Fran: *Nods* Mm...Sure...

You then start to carry Fran just by doing a bridal style carry until you turned to Nell and said...

(Y/N): Miss Nell, can you carry our sword to our room?

Nell: *Nods* Will do.

-Mini Time Skip-

It didn't take long for you to carry Fran back to your rooms as you carefully placed Fran on her bed and cover her with the blanket.

Nell: I'll leave the sword here near the door. Goodnight, you two.

(Y/N): Yeah, good night to you, too, Miss Nell.

Nell nods in response as she left with the door closed in front of you.

Teacher: Her mind and body are tired after the day's excitement. You should get some sleep, too, (Y/N). We've got a dungeon raid tomorrow morning.

(Y/N): Yeah. Good night, Teach.

Teacher: Good night, (Y/N).

You then start to climb onto your bed and try to get some sleep, leaving Teacher to look up at the window and see the 6 moons.

Teacher: (The world is in such close contact with the gods...Another reminder that it's nothing like my old one.)

-The Next Day-

Morning rises after getting a good night's sleep! Anyways, You, Fran, and Teacher were heading to Garrus's workshop to get Teacher's scabbard.

Fran: Excuse us!

Teacher: Garrus, we're here!

Garrus: Hey, there you are. Take this with you today.

You, Fran, and Teacher see an awesome sword scabbard that was created by Garrus himself.

Teacher: Whoa! Is this my scabbard?

Fran: It looks real cool!

(Y/N); Yeah, the design of the scabbard is really amazing.

Fran: Teacher?

Teacher: Yeah! Lemme get right in...

Teacher then takes off the cloth around him and starts inserting himself onto the scabbard like a sword.

You and Fran were in awe upon seeing Teacher perfectly fits inside the scabbard, even Teacher himself was in awe as well.

Teacher: It feels so nice! Holy crap! Damn, Garrus, this is awesome!

Garrus: Buhahaha! I'm glad 'ya like it.

Fran; You sound so happy, Teacher.

Teacher: *Starts spinning* Yeah, 'cause it's a nice-ass scabbard!

Garrus: It's not just a scabbard, either. It's got a special feature, too.

Teacher: Whoa, really?

(Y/N): What? Is it something good?

You asked as you and Fran went up to the counter to look at Teacher's scabbard.

Garrus: See this metal bit here?

Garrus says, pointing at the bottom of the scabbard.

Fran: Uh-huh.

Garrus: If you pull it like this...

Garrus pulls the metal string(?) at the bottom of the scabbard...That's when the scabbard splits itself, making Teacher cover himself as if he was undressed by the scabbard.

Garrus: You can use your Telepathy to unsheathe yourself all on your own.

(Y/N): Now that's amazing. I'm impressed.

Garrus: Hahaha, I'll take that as a compliment.

Teacher: Thanks, Garrus!

Garrus: You got it, Teacher, Fran, and (Y/N). Good luck with your first dungeon crawl!

Fran turns around as she gives a smile and nod to Garrus while you give him a thumb up and a nod.

-Mini Time Skip-

A couple of minutes later, everyone arrived at the Goblin Dungeon Cave entrance.

Teacher: I'm gettin' pumped up. Show'em what you're made of, Fran!

Fran: I can't wait to go into the dungeon.

(Y/N): Yeah, but it'll be boring for me since I can just destroy them easily.

Fran: Go easy on everyone, okay, Onii-chan?

(Y/N); You got it.

???: Attention, everyone!

Everyone turned to see Donadrond with his battle axe.

Donadrond: This afternoon, we're headed out to find and eradicate a large goblin threat!

Teacher: Donadrond is heading the party, huh?

Donadrond: The familiars that scouted the dungeon have confirmed this cave is overrun with goblins, and with their numbers, we're on the brink of encountering a goblin stampede!

Donadrond stomps the bottom tip of his battle axe to the ground, creating a small hole until Donadrond continues speaking up.

Donadrond: Our first objective: Stop the stampede by killing the Goblin King and Queen! Then, if possible, explore the dungeon and bring it under guild control! That means killing the Dungeon Master!

Fran: The Dungeon Master...

(Y/N): I wonder how powerful is the Dungeon Master...

Donadrond: We'll set up a temporary base of operations here...

That's when all of you hear someone screaming in pain as they all turned to see one of the adventurers killed by the goblins.

Crull: They're coming in! The goblins are rushing out!

Donadrond: What?!

Dwarf Warrior: They barely made a peep yesterday! C'mon, you lot! Don't scatter! Hold your ground!

That's when you see one of the goblins going to kill another one of the beastmen. At the speed of light, you got in between them and used the back of your hand to smack it away, but it also killed the goblin right away.

Beastman: W-Whoa! Thanks, bud!

(Y/N): Not a problem.

You then quickly scanned around the area to see some of the adventurers and the beastmen fighting off the goblins and hobgoblins. Plus, there are a few of them were struggling to fight back.

(Y/N): Leave the rest to me.

You said as you start to quickly eliminate the monster one by one at the speed of light which shocked everyone at your performance.

Swordsman 1: H-Holy shit! That kid...!

Swordsman 2: He's getting rid of all the goblins and hobgoblins for us!

F. Archer: I can't even see what he's doing! He's super fast!

Everyone was in awe as you continued killing all of the goblins until there was nothing left which only took about two seconds.

(Y/N): Whew...that should get rid of them...

You said to yourself and everyone looked behind you and see a lot of blood splattered around the area and some goblin body parts around.

You looked at everyone with a stoic expression as they all start to mutter at each other and question what you did except for Fran and Teacher.

(Y/N): Fran, let's get moving.

Fran: *Nods* Right!

You nodded as you looked back at everyone before you turned to Fran with a nod.

And just like that, both you and Fran quickly rushed inside the dungeon, leaving everyone outside baffled at what they had witnessed.

Beastfolk 1: S-Should we leave it up to them...?

One of the male beastfolk asked until Donadrond spoke up.

Donadrond: No, if we leave those two to defeat the Dungeon Master for us...then what's the point of coming here?! We must join them as well!!

Donadrond said with his voice raised out of triumph and a fiery aura around him before rushing inside the Dungeon. Everyone's eyes widened before they followed behind Donadrond into the dungeon.

....

(A/N: Just like that! Stay tuned for Episode 5!)
