-No One's P.O.V-

After getting yourselves an Inn, You and Fran decided to eat dinner with Teacher's cooking skills.

Teacher: Okay, let's get dinner started!

Fran: Yeah, yeah! I can't wait!

(Y/N): Alright, let's see what you can do, Teach.

Teacher: Don't worry, I'm pretty skilled! So, what do you two want to eat?

Fran: Meat!

(Y/N): Eh, I'd go with Fran's idea.

Teacher: Fran, is that alright with you?

Fran: I'll share!

Teacher: Okay then. We got ourselves some spices, so let's get some grub going!

That's when Teacher starts to use his telekinetic magic to take out the three spice powders from the small battles and flour powder. After that, the three spice powders start to mix together with the flour powder, making a brown color cloud.

Next, Teacher starts to separate the brown powders before turning them into raw meat until he placed one of the meat into the cooking pot with the cooking oil.

Fran: Oh boy!

(Y/N): Whoa...

And within a few minutes later...

Teacher: Fried chicken made with fantasy spices!

Both you and Fran were in awe as the two of you start eating one of the fried chickens.

Teacher: How is it?

Fran turns to Teacher with her eyes sparkling with happiness.

Fran: It's a miracle made real. It's so delicious!

(Y/N): Mm, it's really delicious compared to my own cooking of fried chicken.

You said in acknowledgment while eating the fried chicken.

Teacher: Glad to hear it. Having spices will expand the range of meals we can make.

Fran: Spices are the best.

Teacher: (I could probably make curry with these, too.)

(Y/N): (You can make curry as well?)

Teacher: (Definitely! If I got the right ingredients of this world though...)

(Y/N): (Heh, I'm sure you'll manage, Teach.)

After about two minutes of eating fried chicken, both you and Fran were satisfied of eating delicious fried chicken!

Fran: I'm in Heaven. Thank you, Teacher.

Teacher: You're welcome.

(Y/N): Hey, you've got some crumbs of fried chicken in your mouth. Here, let me clean that for you.

You pulled out a handkerchief and start wiping the remaining fried chicken crumbs off Fran's face.

Fran: Thanks, Onii-chan.

(Y/N): Anytime.

Teacher: Now that you got food in you two, time to prep for accepting adventuring quests tomorrow! Let's plan out how we're going to make you stronger, Fran!

Fran: Yeah!

(Y/N): Affirmative.

-Mini Time Skip-

Later, You, Fran, and Teacher arrived back to your rooms as Teacher starts to ask about where he should spend the rest of his Evolution Points.

Teacher: What should we spend the rest of my Evolution Points on?

Fran: Healing Magic?

Teacher: I was thinking the same thing.

Fran: When I was fighting Donadrond, I saw him heal-mid battle. That was cool.

Teacher: I agree.

(Y/N): He's got Piccolo's DNA.

You said in a joking tone.

Fran: Who's Piccolo?

(Y/N): Ah, just a fictional character.

Teacher: Aside from that, I'm a little worried about going up against higher-tier monsters with your level and gear. I considered leveling up Doppelganger, too, but I could just max out Healing magic. Plus by sharing it, Fran can use it, too.

Fran nodded her head in confirmation

(Y/N): I do kinda agree with upgrading the Doppelganger skill, but Healing Magic should be a go-to option. Who knows if Fran could take massive damage if she is in a tight situation.

Teacher: Hmm...I guess you're right. But we might want to level up my Sword Arts and Sword Mastery, too, though it'll use a ton of points...

While Teacher was continues to wonder about what skill he should upgrade first until both you and Teacher noticed Fran was starting to get tired and is trying to keep her head up to listen the conversation.

Teacher: Hey Fran, are you sleepy?

Fran yawns before speaking up.

Fran: Yeah...I'm tired...

(Y/N): Guess we'll have to continue discussing your skills tomorrow morning.

Teacher: Sure, no biggie.

(Y/N): Come on, Fran. Let's head to our respective beds.

As you were about to stand up from Fran's bed, but you felt your shirt was pulled. You turned to Fran who is pulling your shirt with tired eyes.

(Y/N): Hm? What's wrong?

Fran: Can we...sleep together...?

Both you and Teacher glanced at each other with surprised eyes until you said...

(Y/N): Eh? Why?

Fran: Sorry, Onii-chan...It's just been a long time since I slept with my own parents...I haven't got the same warmth feeling from before...so...please can we sleep together...?

Fran says with a sad, yet tired eyes. You felt your heart was pulled by her words until you let out a sigh before speaking up.

(Y/N): Okay, if that's what you want.

Fran gives you a sleepy smile at you and said...

Fran: Thank you.

Both you and Fran got on the bed together as you pulled the bed to cover yourselves.

Teacher: Aww...look at you two. Both of you are like siblings together.

Teacher says with an adored expression.

(Y/N): Oh shut up and turn the lights out.

Teacher: Hehe, okay, okay. Goodnight, you two.

Teacher says as he turns off the light and went off by himself.

You let out a sigh as you tried to go back to sleep with Fran until you felt your body was touched by something.

You opened your eyes and looked down to see Fran got really close to you with her head resting on your chest. Plus, you can notice that her smile is more relaxed as if she was trying to be a lot more comfortable in her sleep.

(Y/N): (Sheesh, you should've asked..)

You thought to yourself with an amused expression until you wrapped your right arm around her to give her a hug.

And just like that, both you and Fran went off to sleep while Teacher was resting his eyes through the whole night.

However...

Unknown to all of you, in the forest that is nearby the City of Alessa, we see a horde of goblins showing themselves under the cave with the moonlight shining down on them.

-The Next Day-

The next day comes as You, Fran, and Teacher went off to do a G-Rank Adventurer Quest to gather Herbs that are harmless to the adventurers and such.

Teacher: This is Healgrass. It's used to make potions.

Fran: *Nods* Uh-huh.

...

Next, you grabbed what it looks like a purple berry from a tree branch.

Teacher: This fruit can cure Poison.

(Y/N): *Nods* Mmhm.

...

Next, the three of you were looking at some mushrooms.

Teacher: These are Staminashrooms. They're good for cooking.

Fran: *Nods* Uh-huh.

Teacher: (Thanks to my skills in Gathering, Herbology, and Cooking, that quest was easy as pie.) It's fun learning about all this stuff, right, you two?

Teacher says, but you and Fran had bored expressions.

Teacher: C'mon, at least pretend you two are having fun! I know it sucks, but we gotta. This is part of being an adventurer.

(Y/N: I know, but they just gave us an easy quest, despite the fact that they literally saw my strength. They could've honestly given me a high-ranking quest to defeat a monster to earn more money.

Teacher: Yeah, and I don't know why though...

That's when the three of you heard rustling nearby as the three of you turned to the source of the noise and see a Rabbit with glowing red eyes.

Teacher: Whoa, is that a Ragout Rabbit?

(Y/N): We're gonna need it.

Fran: For what?

(Y/N): I have an idea of making that thing into dinner.

Teacher: Eh? Really?

Fran: Onii-chan, what kind of food are you making for dinner?

Fran asked with a serious face.

(Y/N): It's a secret.

You said with a small smirk until you slowly picked up a rock and quickly fired at the Ragout Rabbit at high speed.

The Ragout Rabbit couldn't react in time from the upcoming rock that is being thrown at it like a bullet. The rock then managed to hit directly at the Ragout Rabbit's body, killing it instantly.

(Y/N): Nice.

You ran up to it and picked it up. You then opened the Pocket Dimension and stored it inside.

Teacher: Goddamn, that was an amazing accuracy!

(Y/N): Indeed.

However, the three of you heard swords clashing nearby from where you guys are.

Teacher: Someone's fighting over there.

(Y/N): They could be in danger. Let's head over there.

Fran: Yeah!

Both you and Fran got up to follow where the fighting noises are.

-Meanwhile-

Somewhere, we see a group of three adventurers fighting off against goblins.

Mage: Lily, Crull, save yourselves and run!

Crull: Don't give up yet, Eustace!

That's when one of the Archer Goblins fired off an arrow towards Lily, but she notices it and dodges out of the way.

Lily: Why are there so many out here?! We only had to kill three!

Eustace: If I hadn't said we should go deeper into the forest...

Unknown to them, You, Fran, and Teacher were at a cliff above them and saw the whole thing.

Fran: Goblins!

Teacher: Twenty-three of'em. That's a lot.

(Y/N): The higher the numbers of those goblins are, the more disadvantageous those adventurers have.

Teacher: Even worse, some of them are higher-rank hobgoblins. It's not gonna end well for them.

(Y/N): Well, we gotta hurry up and stop them before those three are dead!

You said as you jumped down to save the three adventurers along with Fran who is following you from behind.

Eustace: I'm gonna get you out of here, even if I have to die trying! *Starts casting a spell* Take this, my final spell! Fire-

Fran: Fire Arrow!

Fran fires off burning arrows at the three goblins, burning them to death instantly.

Crull: That was incredible, Eustace!

Eustace: Eh? Wait, that wasn't me-

That's when you and Fran did a superhero landing in between the Adventurers and the Goblins.

(Y/N): Hello there.

You greeted the Goblins and the Adventurers had their eyes widened in confusion and surprise.

Lily: H-Huh?

Crull: A teenager and a little kid?

Teacher: (Y/N), take ten on your left. Fran, take ten on your right as well!

Fran: Teacher, we're burning it up.

Teacher: Hell yeah, we are! And in your first big battle as an adventurer, too!

(Y/N): No, you idiot. The forest over there is burning up!

You said, pointing at the huge flames across the river.

Teacher: Ahh!!! Create Water!!

Teacher summons out a blue mini-portal and sprays huge water onto the burning flames.

Teacher: No fire magic in the forest! Fran, let's use earth magic instead! Remember what we practiced?

Fran: Yeah, I'll try that.

(Y/N); Alright, let's do what we can!

You said as you start to run to the left where the goblins are.

That's when Fran's right hand and Teacher's blade body start to glow gold color.

Fran: Stone bullet!

Teacher: Stone Arrow!

Two big bronze portals were summoned beside Fran and fired off Geo projectiles onto the ten goblins, but only the Geo projectiles only killed three of them.

Fran: Your spells are so awesome, Teacher.

Teacher: Only 'cause I have the skill Mage amplifying its potency. Wish I could share that one with you and (Y/N).

Fran gets onto her fighting stance and rushes to the two goblins.

Fran: Seven left! Double Slash!

Fran did a 180 spin, killing two remaining goblins.

Crull: Whoa, that little kid is super good!

(Y/N): Yo, Fran! Check this out!

Fran and the others turned over to you. You then fold your arms and the sky suddenly turns brown for a moment until everyone looks up and sees a meteor falling from the sky and then you said...

(Y/N): I will have order!

The meteor came crashing down and crushed the 4 goblins before it was blown up by the meteor you had summoned.

Eustace: Whoa...!

Lily: I've never seen someone pull that kind of skill!

Teacher: Goddamn, we gotta use one of those!

Fran: Thanks for showing that skill, Onii-chan!

(Y/N): Hehe! Stay focused, Fran!

Fran nodded as she continued to kill the remaining goblins left on her side.

Crull: Kid, in front of you!

You looked in front of you to see the two hobgoblins running up to you with the other 4 goblins following behind as they all charged towards you with their weapons raised at you.

(Y/N): You're asking for a death wish, huh? Your call!

You then punched the two hobgoblins which caused them to delete out of existence before following up with Consecutive Normal Punches to kill the other 4 remaining goblins.

(Y/N): Hmph, low common mobs are no match for me!

You exclaimed while Eustace, Crull, and Lily were all shocked at what they had just witnessed.

Crull: Bro...

Lily: That guy literally obliterated those goblins as if they were nothing!

Eustace: I have a feeling that kid is not to be taken lightly when fighting...

Crull: No shit!

-With Fran-

Back to Fran, she continues charging at the goblins, she noticed one of the Archer Goblins aiming at her, but Teacher fired Stone Bullet skill, killing the Archer Goblin with a few stones.

System Female Voice: Fran has reached Level 4.

Teacher: Long time no hear, System Girl!

Fran: Ah! I feel a little stronger!

Fran blocks and attacked the goblin before stepping onto another goblin and jumping up high.

An orange pentagram appears on Fran's body and it aims towards down the two goblins and then follows up with a...

Fran: Heavy Slash!

Fran slams her sword down which creates electric explosions and killed the remaining goblins.

Lily: She took 'em all out by herself...

Eustace: Holy Crap...

Crull: Goddamn, first we have a little girl who knows how to use a sword with magic, and then we have that guy over there with some godly strength that no person would wish to fight with...

Lily: What a bizarre day...

Both you and Fran eventually went back to Eustace, Lily, and Crull.

Fran extends her hands in front of them and said...

Fran: Healing Circle.

That's when a large green glowing pentagram surrounds everyone as their wounds, scratches, and bruises were fully healed back to normal except for you.

Eustace: What?! That's level 7 healing magic!

Fran: (I used healing magic for the first time.)

Teacher: Already getting great use out of those levels.

(Y/N): Yo Fran, wanna give me a high-five?

You asked with your right palm raised.

Fran nodded with a smile and gives you a high-five as you and Fran chuckled at each other until Lily walked up to you two.

Lily: You saved our lives. Thank you.

Eustace: You're incredible. Who are you two?

Fran: I'm Fran. G-Rank Adventurer.

(Y/N): And I'm (Y/N), also a G-Rank Adventurer.

Lily/Crull/Lily: G?!

Lily: You're the same rank we are?!

Eustace: (Wait, that guy has godly strength, but why is he a G-Rank Adventurer? Shouldn't he be instantly raised among the ranks?)

Fran: Yeah, but we gotta go now.

Crull: Whoa, wait! You two deserve to take all these goblin mats!

Fran: (What should we do?)

Teacher: (Maybe just take the high-tier mats.)

(Y/N): We'll take the hobgoblin mats.

Lily: Huh? Hobgoblin? Now that you're mentioning it, you're right, those goblins have classes!

Eustace: This is bad. We could be in for a Goblin Stampede!

Teacher: A Goblin Stampede?

Fran: What's that?

Lily: Huh? You haven't heard? Whenever you find a bunch of Hobgoblins together, you'll probably find a Goblin King nearby! And the horde around a King is a D-Rank threat! He has high Leadership, and when his high-rank horde gets big enough, it'll spawn a Goblin Queen! And a Goblin King and Queen spawn hobgoblins! With how quickly they grow, there'll be swarms of them in no time! A horde of hobgoblins is easily a C-Rank threat. When they start encroaching on human territory looking for food, THAT is what we call a Goblin Stampede!

Eustace: A stampede can take out even big cities. Someone's gotta kill them off soon, or else...

Crull: Or else Alessa could be in grave danger. We have to get back to the guild and tell them! Are you two coming?

You, Fran, and Teacher looked at each other before turning back to the group to say something, but the sound of a horn can be heard as everyone turned to see one of the goblins was holding a horn.

However, Fran used Stone Bullet to kill it as the headless body of the goblin falls to the ground.

Eustace: There's more?!

Lily: Or did it call its friends?!

Fran: Go.

Crull: B-but what about you two?

(Y/N): We'll take care of them on our own.

Fran: No. You should head back with them, Onii-chan.

You looked at Fran with a surprised face.

(Y/N): What? You want me to go back?

Fran: Yeah, I want to become stronger and Evolve. You should know that I can't always rely on you.

You stayed silent for a few moments before speaking up.

(Y/N): You're right. Evolving is your only mission as a Black Cat.

Fran smiles at you before speaking up.

Fran: Thank you for understanding.

Lily: Wait, shouldn't your friend be able to handle them all?

Eustace: Yeah, he can take them goblins down easily!

(Y/N): No.

Crull: Why? Do you not care about the people in the City of Alessa?!

(Y/N): I know! Sure, the safety of the people in the city comes first. However, I must let Fran grow, unless she finds where the Goblin stampede comes from. We shall wait for the information.

Eustace, Lily, and Crul were upset by your response but decided to let it go until you turn back to Fran and said...

(Y/N): Please come back alive. I'll reward you with a delicious dinner.

Fran nodded her head in response until she turns her back and went towards the forest to kill the goblins that were heard by the sound of a horn.

Teacher: You sure about this, Fran?

Fran: Uh-huh. I wanna train more. Fighting a lot of stuff is the best way. *Whispers* And if there's a goblin nest nearby, we gotta take it out.

Teacher: Okay. What was that saying? Nothing ventured, nothing gained? Here they come!

Fran: Mmhm. I'm gonna get them!

And just like that, Fran decided to eliminate all of the remaining goblins in the forest while you left with the other adventurers back to the city of Alessa.
